When you live with your wife, should your toilet seat be up or down

Does this really need to be an issue ? you are the Man why not Give way to your wife? Can't you be Happy Pleasing your wife for this issue to be complicated in your part ?

Looks like you are not reasonable Husband , and besides Just for Urinating ? then why not get a Urinal for you ? there are available urinals for Male but none for female , take one like what you can find in Male CR in malls so you have your own in your Toilet.

First time to hear this kind of issue about married life. I don't usually hear and read problems like this to tackle.

But you know what, just go with the standard or if you don't want to, talk to each other whatever you prefer in your comfort room to enjoy it if you use it.

I like to put a toilet seat down it doesnt matter if I am with  my wife or not. 

Sometimes after having a bowel movement there are remains left on the toilet and I dont want anyone to have to see that before using it.

Those bleach things for your bowl are good for this case.  It is more important for me to put the seat down so my dog wont drink the water.

It’s a constant struggle -  some people are not able to look at the seat / lid position before sitting down, so they demand that the lid be left up and the seat be left down, at all times - and proceed to sit down, without looking. Others whine about the seat cleanliness, as a result of flushing with the lid down. Or bathroom cleanliness, as a result of flushing with the lid up.

You should have no problem with the toilet down because it's very good for your health. if both of you can't budge then making the competition will be much fairer for both of you, the loser is obliged to hear the wishes of the winners.

How 'bout, and this is a wild suggestion, you keep it closed and you and your wife open it and have it any way you like? But be sure to buy the toilet seats that have slowly lower the seat and that way they don't slip out of your fingers and fall and wake everyone up in the middle of the night.

Thats easy. Turn it up if you want to urinate and put it down so your wife wont be disgusted by it. Give way for your wife if you really love her. Its that simple.

Does it really matter?
You could just put it up or she could just put it down whenever it is up.
It is easy so why would it even bother both of you?
The toilet seat should be down when you are going to sit and it should be up when we (Men) are going to pee so the toilet seat would be clean.

I agree with this you shouldn't really argue with her but there are times that we should also tell them our side so they wouldn't be too spoiled and know that their wrong.

The toilet should always be in its original state, with the lid closed. Everyone did their job, washed off the water and closed the lid. If you are lazy, buy a modern smart toilet. There is no need to close the lid. There the toilet will do everything for you.

strange question! I always keep it down coz I don't wanna see the water in it. it's disgusting...though it's a little cumbersome to get it up every time using it. All in all, hopefully you can convince you wife to keep it down for cleanness.

It is not because we are under their control but woman wants simple things to be happy and that are those things that Pleases them in each small act we do.
