I have seen accounts used to commit mayhem here and over time I understand our newbies and low rank members are putting in their best to earn more merits to rank up but shouldn’t forget our bitcoin community has rules governing the community and I will like to educate us on one.
It’s important we go through the forum rules as newbies and new members to educate ourselves more about forum activities. Many still commit plagiarism errors and it’s at the detriment of their account.

Plagiarism is an act of documenting or the presentation of a work not own by you. Literally someone else's work, concept or ideas. It could be with or without their consent and any means of incorporating it into your own work without full acknowledgement of the real owner(s) and without attachment or crediting of the source links.

Like I said earlier lots of mayhem has been committed here and its more among our newbies and new members especially in the areas of plagiarism. The amount of merit you get in the forum is in direct proportion to the amount of reasonable contributions you bring to the forum not plagiarized work.

In my little research I noticed the main type of plagiarism that is common among accounts in the forum.
(I) Direct plagiarism: is the direct transcription without any attribution or contributions to a work not owned by you.
(I)Accidental plagiarism: Accidental plagiarism occurs in a case where a writer fails to cite the sources in which the basis of their work is derived from or the unintentional paraphrases of source by the means of using similar sentences or groups of words.
And we shouldn’t forget the purpose of our community is to bring the enlightenment of bitcoin to each of us and to the world in general.

Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

There is nothing like accidental plagiarism, plagiarism is plagiarism. I do make one example for the case purpose. Is their anything like accidental exam malpractice? If there is none, that is the case for plagiarism and copying pasting. Some newbies can be frustrated and do not know what to do than to plagiarise, not knowing they will be caught and be banned. Even, if the plagiarism is a mistake, you can not know the person's mind, if truly mistake or not mistake, this makes all plagiarism not accidental, and the punishment for such is permaban. A battle already heard coming tomorrow can not kill a disabled or immobile man. The rule already stated on Unofficial list of (official) Bitcointalk.org rules, guidelines, FAQ

Paraphrase is 100% intentionally. No one paraphrase without intention. They can paraphrase by hands, by their brains or by bots but intention is the start of paraphrase.

No one spins texts and say I do it unintentionally.

Plagiarism is copy, paste, hide the source to steal opinion, works of others. Paraphrase and text spinning are types of plagiarisms.

Link is a must practice and don't say I hide link because I get consensus from authors.

This claim is laughable and pointless, people who engage in plagiarism always find the easiest way out, they can't think with their own brain and create something unique out of it, there is no such thing as accidental plagiarism, it's not possible to be accidental, if you see any posts that looks accidental to you drop the link and let's check it out

I believe OP means accidental plagiarism in situations where a user simply forgets to enter the link. Such things happen, unfortunately, especially in big threads with a lot of content. It is possible to forget a link here and there and I have seen posts where even higher-ranked accounts make such mistakes and come back later to edit their post with a source link.

Plagiarism is taken very seriously on Bitcointalk especially when the reason is of a monetary nature, such as filling your weekly signature quota.
In other instances where the user was trying to help someone, mods tend to apply less harsh penalties. Whatever the reason, the easiest thing to do is to always include a link if you have copied parts or someone else's thoughts.

The very title of the topic attracted me to the fact that I thought the OP decided to go check it out.
OP, sorry, but what did you want to say? Plagiarism or copy-paste is a big mistake on the forum. For them, users in the majority receive a permanent ban. Also, you forgot to mention that news transmission or paraphrasing, it is advisable to also accompany by links.
Why do some research and write such "great" posts?
The rules are always clear, the simpler they are written.
In short: it is forbidden to copy and steal other people's articles and posts.

33. Posting plagiarized content is not allowed.[e]

From where I stand, these two are pretty much the same thing. There isn't any distinctive difference. It's all copy paste works without citation either intentional or not and that's plagiarism.

The very title of the topic attracted me to the fact that I thought the OP decided to go check it out.
That's exactly what I thought and was driven to see and perhaps refer OP to the already existing thread on the matter should it not have been noted.  I guess the title needs to be changed as it doesn't really portray what is found in the content.

Plagiarism is a frowned at act, more serious in this forum and perhaps mid around the world but then, it has a simple way out which is citation. Just dropping a link to the source is all and it saves you a lot of trouble.

What constitutes plagiarism is that you are causing it to appear that you own the information/study, when in fact you do not, and you post such information without attributing or giving credit to the original authors.

I would also like to mention that there seems to be no accidental plagiarism as it cannot be remedied by just saying that 'it was an accident'. In the process of creating something, you purposely copied it without even thinking that you are going to give credit to the original source.

I have seen lots of plagiarized WPs in the forum and mostly these are brand new accounts/newbies who take advantage of people by scamming them. If newbies really want to gain merits through posting, they should always be original and different.

Plagiarism is extremely bad in different angles of studies even in university a students that is caught plagiarising has it penalty or punishment, even here community made it known to everyone that plagiarism and paraphrasing is against the protocols of forum, so its encouraging that we have to forget copy and paste to avoid cheating the system which is obvious that any one caught shall be ban, creating personal topic make a user to be potential so your potentially and reputation will determine the destination of every user, and our values or poteniality via community is based on how constructive and quality our post is, and I understand that is only ship poster are in love in plagiarism.

I wouldn't call it accidental plagiarism even though the person who copied it did not or forget to credit the owner or author of the content is still a plagiarized content and considered making it yours even if it's not your own content unless you provide where you get that content then it is not plagiarized, it is called "SHARING".
