Is air conditioner a good option for cooling a mining rig or a mining farm? If yes is there any new tech air conditioner that draws very low wattage compares to those that use one horse power (1500 watts I believe) ? Thank

Which farm are you talking about? What are the conditions of your farm? If you have 1 or 2 farms, you can mine cryptocurrency without using an air conditioner,
and in the summer it will be enough to install a household fan.
If you have a larger number of farms, it will probably be cheaper to design ventilation.
Installing several air conditioners will cost more.

Air conditioner isn't a bad idea if you have extra electricity to power it, also you can consider two standing fan or table fan too, it's what I used and they work very well with the cooling

It depends on your electricity, air conditioner only makes sense to me if you have free electricity to power it, I believe a AC draws up to 1500watts, that's way too much for a mining farm, it's better to go with other options like fans that consumes very low wattage

Yes it matter if you paying 0.1$ for 1kw. in my case it is not free but almost free. in my country 1kw is 0.0007$ so i dont even calculate electric bill. i use air conditioning and very effective and no dust.

Which country is that?  Shocked Shocked Shocked that's insanely cheap electric, if I'm paying that less for electricity I would mine with many old obsolete asic miners, are you from Africa ?

Lol mining room need fan input + exhaust fan, ac conditioner wont work, except youre using 3M liquid mining, and dont throw your money for big electric to turn down 1-2c temp, dc fan is more efficient, you can use solar panel+lifepo4 battery to supply the fan for free electric

AC pulls too high wattage, not good for mining unless you have your ways around that, free electricity maybe? But it's definitely an effective way of cooling your miners but not an option for small mining rigs owners, it's total waste of electricity

It's better to simply pull in cooler air and exhaust the warmer air then to spend power actively pumping cold air into a space
