I need help. Looking for someone to download bitcoin.com app and put like 5 dollars in bitcoin cash. Then download coinbase app and transfer it to the coinbase app to bitcoin. Not bitcoin cash.  And recover this error and explain to me in detail exactly what they did. I can't seem to figure this out. I only have access to a cell phone, and I'm using a android device.
So I transfered from bitcoin cash to bitcoin and I just can't figure it out and it's a significant amount of money.

I am willing to pay whoever helps me get this done $200. I will need specific instructions possibly screen shots.  Idk. But I can't seem to figure this out.  Please help.

So I transfered from bitcoin cash to bitcoin and I just can't figure it out and it's a significant amount of money.

Assuming you sent BCH from Bitcoin.com to a Coinbase BTC address.

Coinbase is a custodial service, meaning you don't control the private keys to the address you sent BCH to and you by yourself won't be able to retrieve the BCH. Reaching out to Coinbase support will be your best bet since they are the ones in control of the private keys. BCH and BTC use the same private key format so it should be recoverable if Coinbase support is willing to work it out for you.

Coinbase support is mostly non-existent though so expect a delay in response time.

Coinbase wallet or the coinbase app?

You need to contact Coinbase support.
Was it a legacy address the receiving address, the one that begins with 1? If you have no private keys to the receiving address and coinbase does not provide this so you can't do more than contact the coinbase support
If the receiving address begins with 3 or bc1 then the funds are gone if it begins with 1 you still have a chance.

Coinbase wallet or the coinbase app?

It doesn't matter because they sweep the addresses into their cold storage so even if you did get the private key, it would be empty. (And coinbase will not give you the private keys to your addresses).

And their documentation states that they changed everyone's address into a segwit address. This is possible because of the address sweeping I mentioned earlier.

I'm not sure if coinbase support will reimburse you though because their FAQ repeatedly says they are not liable for sending money to the wrong cryptocurrency.

You didn't replied to your previous thread. If you can't find it, Mods moved it to 'Exchanges' board (link).
Because if it's 'Coinbase', not 'Coinbase Wallet', there's no point in reproducing the issue.

These are the wallets' links:
Which one?

...
Coinbase.com is different from coinbase wallet app, coinbase.com is a custodial wallet and have no private key given to users just like you said but the company manage the private keys themselves. Everything you said about them is correct but there is another coinbase wallet called coinbase wallet app, it is a noncustodial wallet. It will generate you seed 12 phrase. The private key to the seed phrase can not be seen on the wallet directly. I have just used iancoleman just 5 minutes ago, the seed phrase is truly BIP39, iancoleman generates the private key for me. For priove, if you have an Android device, just download the wallet and generate your seed phrase, then use iancoleman to get your private key.

On Android
Link to coinbase wallet app download: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.toshi
Link to coinbase.com download: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.coinbase.android

Secondly, the coinbase wallet app (not coinbase.com) also support both segwit and legacy addresses

I only have access to a cell phone, and I'm using a android device.
You should probably get an offline computer to extract the private keys. It is possible to do all this on Android, but I wouldn't risk it.

This sounds hopeful, if TedButler has 12 recovery words.

Warning: don't share them with anyone, and ignore offers for "help" you receive by PM. Users have been scammed this way.

and put like 5 dollars in bitcoin cash. Then download coinbase app and transfer it to the coinbase app to bitcoin. Not bitcoin cash.

Am I the only one who noticed it? 5 dollars in BCH or 5 BCH?

BTW don't expect my assistance for the coinbase support team because I am having issues with my vault for year(s) now and they did't help me in any way.

I didn't know that it is possible to generate recovery seeds for a coinbase wallet, hope he can fix it by himself or just forget that 5BCH!

If it's the Coinbase exchange - email their support, explain your situation, and cross your fingers. Also try messaging their support accounts on Reddit (moderators of https://www.reddit.com/r/CoinBase/), and relentlessly harass them on Twitter, Reddit, Facebook, whatever other social media you can find. Their support is terrible and they don't care about you or your coins, but they do care about bad press and their future profits, so usually this is the only way to get your ticket addressed.

If it's the Coinbase standalone wallet app - take your 12 word seed phrase, import it in to a piece of software which will let you extract your private keys (such as Electrum or iancoleman.io - make sure you verify them after downloading and only run them on an airgapped computer), extract the private key to the relevant address, and then import that private key in to a BCash wallet.

Also stop using the bitcoin.com wallet since bitcoin.com wallet is a known scam site ran by a known scammer whose entire business model is to trick newbies in to mixing up Bitcoin and BCash and buying the wrong coin, as you have just discovered.

This is what I also thought. OP seems to be another victim of Bitcoin.com lying to Newbies that the "Real" Bitcoin is BCH and BTC is supposed to be called Bitcoin Core  Angry
Quite sad as OP might have lost a significant amount into buying BCH and sent it to a wrong blockchain address

No one can really help you if it's in Coinbase, not even their customer support because of the address' script type incompatibility between 'Bitcoin Cash' and the 'Bitcoin'.
I had asked in your previous thread of what "Coinbase" your coins were sent to.

Alternatively, the first characters of the address where it was sent should give the info if it's recoverable or not.
Does it start with '3' or '1', 'bc1' is out of the question since BCH can't be sent to it?

I thank everyone who is trying to help me figure this out and whoever leads me to recovering this I will pay them generously.
We are trying to help but you haven't answered any of the questions which have been asked in this thread.

When you say "Coinbase app", are you referring to:

The "Coinbase" Exchange App
Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.coinbase.android
Apple App Store: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/coinbase-buy-sell-bitcoin/id886427730

Or

The "Coinbase Pro" Exchange App
Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.coinbase.pro
Apple App Store: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/coinbase-pro/id1446636681

Or

The "Coinbase Wallet" App
Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.toshi
Apple App Store: https://apps.apple.com/app/coinbase-wallet/id1278383455?ls=1

What character(s) does the address you have accidentally sent your BCash to start with? 1, 3, or bc1?
Do you have a 12 word seed phrase from your Coinbase app?

Until you answer these questions, we cannot help you any further.

Yes the coinbase exchange app. The app icon with the C.
I thank everyone for replying and trying to help me figure this out.  I have no idea how to use the iancoleman tool.  This is such B.S. that coinbase would just disregard this situation when trying to use customer support.  I am limited to the number of messages and replying on this forum because of the membership I have. Here is a email if anyone believes they can help me in my situation,  I am a man of my word and I'd  pay $1,000 dollars to get this fixed.

That's a custodial wallet, right? Which means you don't have 12 recovery words, which unfortunately means nobody here can help you.

You're entirely up to their mercy.

You'll need to convince Coinbase for this. See this case for a similar situation, it completely depends on how the exchange handles this.

It's good to realize why exchanges can't just access a private key like you would do at home. Many exchanges have lost considerable amounts of crypto due to hacks in the past, and any decent exchange now has a setup in which no single employee can get access to private keys. Cross chain recovery is time consuming, and thus expensive.
Some exchanges recover it, some charge a fee, and some don't do it at all. If they don't do it now, they may do it (far) in the future. They're the only ones who can move your funds.

If it's the Coinbase exchange app, then it's Coinbase support that has to help you out in this case. They are the only one who might help you recover the funds since they are in control of the private keys

The iancoleman tool becomes helpful if you had access to your coinbase account mnemonic phrase or private keys but in this case you don't have.

Don't use their chat robot, try opening a support ticket through this: https://help.coinbase.com/en/contact-us

Had it been a legacy address (1), maybe we would hope that the coinbase support would try to do something about it

Is there any chance the address uses multisig instead of Segwit?

If not, the only chance is to wait until BCH starts supporting Segwit (and even then you'll still need Coinbase to help out), but considering the BCH-guys are into big blocks and against Segwit, that's not very likely to ever happen.
Update: I stand corrected, see below.

There is no need to activate SegWit, assuming the bitcoin address the funds were sent to was a P2SH-P2WPKH type then the spending script (signature script) is simply a very simple data push to the stack that corresponds to the hash in P2SH output (ie. a redeem script containing 0014<HASH160 of pubkey>). Anyone knowing OP's public key or hash of it can spend the coins sent to that address but the transaction will be considered non-standard and rejected by the nodes, so it needs miner's intervention.

Remember that bcash is exact copy of bitcoin and SegWit was backward compatible which means bcash nodes are somewhat like old bitcoin nodes that see stripped down SegWit transactions today; when it comes to nested SegWit addresses they validate the transaction by simply hashing the redeem script and checking the hash and that's it since top stack element after evaluation is the hash and that's true.
