I always make a profit target, I never hold a coin or buy an altcoin and I didn't set profit target that I want. I always set the profit target everytime I bought the altcoin.

The altcoin price movement is so volatile than bitcoin. Its price can up tens of percent even hundreds of percent within a day but after that you will see a huge decrease that will happen.

As an example, I bought an altcoin with $1000 and I want $1500 as the profit, so I'll set the profit target directly so as when the price altcoin touch the profit target that I put the altcoin will automatically sold.

Yes, you just knew the answer. You sell when you're in profit. You don't sell if you're at loss. But it's also fine to sell at losses but it's a strategy that we call stop loss.
You do stop loss and you just do it around if you got 1%-10% of loss in your capital or further up to 20% if you're too that strong accepting a 20% of loss in your entire capital.

You have to know this the moment you buy coins/tokens, you should set your target price so you can know when to sell and you should also set cut loss price to prevent yourself from losing all your capital. Buying and selling is easy to set up, but your really have to commit on that so make sure that you have time to analyze.

Investors are buying for profit, it's always been buy low sell high, it's very important to get your initial investment back as soon as you can, but if the coins you are holding have a good potential in the market and the market looks fine you can continue to HODL it, but always on guard when there is a shift, you don't want to be caught off guard.

You should make a target price for selling ang buying.  So your question can be answered easily.  Thus, if you hit your target price to sell then sell your holdings if not, hold it until your target price is met.  It is that simple.  Don't be too greedy waiting for the price to go even higher after hitting your target price, you may regret it.

When it comes to holding my altcoins in the market I make sure that it is a great project to hold for a long term investment you could choose shitcoin to futuristics token that has the potential to increase its price.

Some easy strategy to earn a great profit is buying low and selling high for just short term investment to multiple your capital so that you could invest more of a volume in a token that would equate to a lot more profit.

You could know when to sell if you have your methods and goals of what you want to achieve, you want to achieve like for example a 100k$ in just a year and you only have 1k$ to invest it will not make sense to invest in 1 token and then wait for long term. You need a clear strategy like buying and then selling for profit to multiply that 1k$ like for example you profit it to 2k$ and then reinvest it all for even more profit.

You should have a goal when to sell a coin you hold. Holding for too long will might gives you not enough result or not enough profit. It also depends on your management risks, as for me when I’m already in profit I sell to take the opportunity of the highest peak of the price. So selling at a peak price and buying when in the dip since in crypto there is always the opportunity to earn.

well, this sure is every beginner's dilemma. don't risk it too much if it gets to your head that you would find it hard to decide what to do or whether to sell or buy. invest in a comfortable situation if you are just starting out. then gradually increase the risk and gain ratio so you can stick to your predefined goals or profits to achieve and if not able to do so, would be comfortable enough to pull out with losses and think rationally where to place your pulled out funds to gain back what you've lost and maybe get some profit. change your investing ways while it's still early. don't let hype and unproven/baseless news etc., get to you. good luck.

When holding altcoins we no one knows the future of the coin. How long these coins will enter the market, or how much profit will be given. Because in crypto the state can change every second. The only thing we can do is hold it until it can give us an advantage.
And one thing to keep in mind that the key to investing in crypto is perseverance and patience. By holding on to those keys I'm sure any coin will give me an advantage. It's just a matter of time.

Asking when to sell have no timeline, you can sell anytime if you OP that you already in profit but if you think about holding for several years, I don't t really works when you are just holding less potential altcoins. You can't be thinking that the market will fulfill your wish that holding 2 years from now you can sell your coins at a high price.

What I can say is that it matters to you and what you are holding. Take every opportunity that you see in the market, sell it once you know you are gaining.  I think that was enough because it was a waste of time being a holder forever with no ROI.
