This depends on you. Sell your coins if you are contented with the profit but if you want to earn more then wait further.

What do you think of your alts, does it have potential? or just a pump and dump coin. There are coins that never lose their value because of the use case and has a potential to grow. This kind of altcoin is the one that is worth to hold unlike other coins that only relying on hype.

When you invest in crypto, you will only hold to as that time you make profit out of your investment which is the only reason investors get into cryptocurrency trading however, you might find some people hodling some projects for a bit longer than necessary because  the project has failed whether there is no more development from the Dev. or it is out rightly dead. Naturally to me, you should sell at least take profit nas soon as you make it.

But sometimes this won't happen as you know all the ICO's are not successful or can't be listed in the CMC. If you're lucky your long term coins are in profit, then selling would be a nice idea, but if you don't feel like selling at that current price at that moment, then you can simply hold the coin a little bit longer, if you see that there are some exciting things coming up that would help to drive the price up, after that then you can just dump, becuz whether you like it or not you would still have to dump that coin, no matter how long you have held it.

First you have to find where the altcoin is trading and know if its a good project or not and determine how long you will hold or you pick a prixe at which you think the coin is worth selling at and then you hold till then no matter how long. Well I think its a matter of your own preferred and targeted value when selling your long-held altcoins but most of the time that is not ideal because of market volatility so I suggest that once you see that you get a good amount of profit then take every opportunity because at the end of the end profit is a profit no matter how big or small it is.
