it says 2,000 were minted but doesn't clarify if its funded or not.

further I never see that coin for sale anywhere .. That was before my time in bitcoin Im
wondering besides the low mint if there's a reason I never see one for sale.

They were never funded.

Every couple of months, one usually comes up for sale.

Is it graded? have any pics? That would help determine price range. It's a big range. the lower end of that range is $500

Its not graded. It's still in the original holder from 2014. It does have the silver toning around the edges.

Welcome to collectibles!

Just post a "Want To Buy" [WTB] in collectibles section and someone might reach out looking to sell.

I’d recommend taking it out of that holder and either put it in a normal air-tite capsule or get it graded. These original holders were the cause of that toning.

OP- Mike Caldwell sold these in a few places originally I believe, but of course this was back in 2014. So they sold out a long time ago and are rare, hence why you’ve not seen them for sale anywhere.

2,000 was the original mintage but ..

I may put it up for auction. I wouldn't mind getting a proper air tight capsule for it though.

Another factor in finding these coins for sale is that the original slab holder was somehow chemically incompatible and created a sort of tarnish on the silver and gold coin surfaces.

I kept mine in a cool dry place in original case for ~5 years before i transferred it to a different capsule, and I'm kicking myself for it now. I'm sure that others' coins may be in even worse shape if still kept in that original slab.

24" PCI-E cables with 16AWG wires and stripped ends - great for server PSU mods, best prices https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=563461
No longer a wannabe - now an ASIC owner!
