I have been gambling for awhile now, I noticed gambling at the start of a season is more risky than gambling when the strong teams are surfacing. At the beginning of leagues like premier league, bundesliga, Seria A, ligue 1 and other strong leagues like that, I noticed weak teams are strong but on getting to the middle, the strong teams at the first five leads are more predictable about the matches they can win, though they can still lose but the chances of strong team losing is at the start of the season. So, I am prefering now to bet more during the middle to ending of a season rather than the start. How about you, which one do you prefer?

I do prefer betting at the start, because we could determine the capabilities of each team but be careful not to put up a huge amount. That's only for a trial bet, then in the long run your middle betting could be established as long as there's a good potential on each team. Chances of losing is very low when you find it more exciting to bet for another possible wins.

I think it's normal thing that there is more upsets in the start of season. First of all, usually after summer transfer window there is a lot of changes in big teams. It can take a while to integrate new players into the team. Especially if team is managed by new coach.
Another reason that often main players of big teams spend summer playing for their national teams in World Cup, Euro, Copa America and etc. Often they return not in the best condition. Small teams are less affected by this thing.
Though, on the other hand, during all parts of season there is alot of unexpected results. Even big teams can't avoid bad periods. Just look how much Liverpool are struggling recently for example.

I prefer to choose betting at the start because we can know each team's quality and how good they perform in their history. We can start to analyze each team, and we can make a note for them, and we can choose which team will have a chance to win later. But if we want to wait to see which team can enter the next rounds, that will not be a problem because that will not make us analyze a big list of the teams at the season. It will make us have more chance to select which team can be the winner in that season. That will be a personal decision because if we don't have interest in that season, we don't need to try to analyze each team.

Like the others above I also have to pick betting at the start because bookies usually set the odds higher so you get some value bets in and as the season goes on the odds get adjusted until it becomes very one sided with the top teams. From my experience the amount of upsets that happened at the start until now feels the same as some teams were able to take advantage whenever the other teams have missing players that lasted for a few weeks.

The best time to bet in sport betting I think is in the middle of the season where standings show the true form of a team.For example during 15 games a team which has 13 wins 1 draw and 1 lost game is an indicatiom that this team is in great form and if a team from 15 games have 10 lost games,4 draws and 1 win it is an indication that this team is not reliable to bet on.Of course you cannot see these statistics during the beginning of a season.

On major tournaments and leagues no matter the sport, I usually just bet no the semis because I believe this is the time wherein teams would be performing and trying to do their absolute best in order to score consistently and get ahead of their opponents. This is where most of their stats, their lineups, and strategies are usually employed, and with that I believe the stats and the odds are at the truest that they can be on sports books. Not that I'm saying that the start of the playoffs are shit or anything, but usually the beasts are released when the scores are critical and the season is already about to end.

Op, I agree with you about the timing. The first few round of a season are very tricky because all the teams are pretty good since they got to play there, but you don't know how the team is doing this year. After a solid amount of rounds, on the other hand, there is useful data on wins, losses and draws of the teams this season which allows to better predict how a particular match would end. However, there are always surprises, and sometimes very unexpected things happen in the middle of the season, so there's always quite a high risk.

Does not matter to me for the team I follow, I always bet on them and you as a fan tend to follow everything from pre season so you know their form from friendlies.

But betting on other teams like surprise packages or poor performers,,, that needs you to be patient and see how they play their first few games. Not everybody has the time to watch every single team game though!

For serious betting, it is always better to wait for at least 5-10 rounds to be played, because in the beginning there can be quite a number of matches that end in very strange results. I generally had the best betting results during October and November, and then after the winter break - then all the cards were more or less open.

If your favorite team is one of all teams that join in that season, I think it is worth betting at the start of the season because you will place your bet on your favorite team.
Maybe you can bet at the next rounds, such as quarters or semifinals, so you do not have to choose too many teams to analyze.
I think it will depend on how your feeling about that season, and if you think that you do not have to bet at the start, you can watch their performance at every match, so you will know which team has the potential to win.

It makes sense, it takes some time for good teams to generate good enough chemistry among each other as those teams have a lot of turnaround as players come and go and only a core of players remain each year, however this does not means that you need to avoid betting maybe you could give some preference to underdogs during the early phase of the league and then after a few games you could switch back to support the favourites to win more often than not once they get the chemistry they need.

In the past I considered this but in fact the theory didn't really work for me personally, so I made that conclusion just about the luck factor. Therefore, I will always gamble when I have the time and money to spend because for me, soccer betting is the same to be done at the beginning, in the middle, or even at the end of the season because winning and losing is all about luck and bad luck. It actually depends when would I be available. We won't always gamble for a fight that we couldn't be able watch right? Some seasons do have fights that might be scheduled on days that I have work to do or things to finish. Whilst there are still times that I can watch every games from start till the end. Yes, you can predict just before the season starts, but it isn't really fun if you can't watch it progress. Overall, I don't gamble to just win and earn money, I gamble to enjoy the games while making money out of it.

And relate to your question. What do you choose? If you just want to enjoy the weekends, I thought you only want to enjoy your time and use the time to bet on the favorite team. So that means you don't have to bet at the start of the new season. You can bet at any time you want, especially if you have a free time at the weekend.

By the way, many people feel unhappy if they lose, and I think that is normal because we lose the money without we can have a big chance to recover or getting the money back.

For me, it's a mix or fun and business. Sometimes, I'm all about making money off those juicy odds and other times, I just do it for the fun especially betting on events where both teams are favorites. And of course, nobody likes losing money even if what they do is just for fun. Why not have fun and get to make so money while at it? That's most likely why you're unhappy whenever you incur losses. Whether I'm placing bets for fun or otherwise, I don't enjoy incurring losses. Just want to mention that I also do use funds that I won't have much impact on my overall finances in case things doesn't go as planned kinda like how Liverpool lost at home yesterday.

Football betting is risky either in the beginning of the season; in the middle of the season or at the end; this is why it is called gambling or prediciton.  It is up to you to gamble wisely; and stake funds that you can part way with. You can also play live in bets; where you are watching the tie and can easily stake to win. Remember betting is risky any time.

inexperienced teams have lessed or no experience at all but why they have an advantage more than the popular teams?
 but popular teams have a high win chance but dont say that they can win always because there will be no bettors on the inexperienced teams and unpopular teams if that happens  .
 im a moody player but i want to play at high risk most of the time and with that ill be betting at the beggining of the match but if my mood swings again i will bet on games that are already started and running for a longer time .
