I have been mining since 4 years. All that time I am mining with nicehash. I go always with nvidia cards. And recently upgrade to rtx 3080s. The question is I am watching most people using mining software like hiveos and others. Should I try the other mining software? The income is much higher then nicehash? I am 52 year old and a little bit lazy. So that is the reason why I go with nice hash up to now.

Nicehash fully converts to BTC Using other software makes you free to keep your mined coins. It is a different mining strategy

friend, I also use nice for practicality. But if you follow the comparison of the minerstat site, it shows that some other pools generate more results. Maybe you could see if it would be similar to nice, but swapping pools for more results.

RaveOS, HiveOS, Windows - are operation system. Nicehash is a kind of a miner and a pool. You can use each OS to mine using Nicehash. So you will get BTC. But also you can mine any coin without converting it in BTC. This is rather easy to learn but you will get coins that you mine. You can get ETH, ETC, RVN, others... but you will not get BTC before you convert it by yourself.

It's true, mining calculators shows that other pools are more profitable than nicehash but I really don't think so, after trying out nicehash myself the results are the same to me, I always get what I'm supposed to get with my hashing power

I used to mine only coins directly in the pool, but now I'm only using Nicehash, and there's two main reasons:
1 - It's more practical 2 - My main goal is to accumulate BTC in the long run
Last week I made a test, I ofrgot to take screenshots to make a thread, but I'll do in a few days I used Binance pool to mine ETH directly, and I choose because they charge less fees and no withdraw fee The results of mining directly ETH and mine with nicehash was exactly the same

I still don't know why calculators are all saying different things, after carefully doing research myself I find out that the rewards are all the same thing, even on nicehash I get extra satoshis, it's weird though, I will keep using Nicehash because
1. I want to store BTC 2. Ethereum gas fee is very high so btc is more affordable

I use Nicehash because of its simplicity and also I'm more into Bitcoin right now that Ethereum, I believe that without bitcoin reaching a new ATH Ethereum won't have the chance to reach 1500$ today, also transaction fee on Ethereum network is too high

Nicehash is an incredibly easy system to setup and use. I would argue it's probably one of the easiest for mining.
The 2nd biggest benefit of Nicehash is getting paid out in BTC while mining other coins.
They do often take a slightly higher fee but honestly it's marginal and very negligible in my opinion.
The only gripe I have with Nicehash is that they still haven't paid me back fully from their "hack" sometime back...
With all that being said I still use them and also mine on Ethermine.org

why is that they supposedly fully paid everyone in December 2020 they fully paid my three accounts the last of what they owed me. and they paid my partners two accounts . i know of a few others they paid off. you are the only one I have seen that did not get paid off.

Now that's crazy but it now shows that payment has been fully reimbursed.
When I checked about a month back I was still owed a modest amount. Hmmm....

How is that possible? Every one get their btc reimbursement in December, I got mine as well, make sure you check your old btc wallet address because I got mine in an old abandoned btc wallet address that I don't use anymore, if it's still same then send a message to the team they will get back to you and check things out on their end

Currently, on the 12-hours median, NiceHash is ranked 7th place - so that's about 10 USD difference for a single full mining rig of ~800MH/s. There is a larger market out there and it's not just about NH vs ETH. As it may come to a surprise to many, there are other pools that have pay-per-share reward scheme, not just NH. So it is easier to predict the outcome. Also, I don't find it really fair to only include a single pool and mix it with the coins and ignore the other pools. Now calculator is more fair than ever before; it provides with broader overview and understanding of the market. That's what transparency should be about. More pools share same vision so we'll be adding more of them soon. Here how it looks like right now: https://minerstat.com/algorithm/ethash

Nicehash is good but the only thing I don't like about it is all users are stuck with nicehash pool only, there is no way to add your own preferable pool, this even raise some curious thoughts why so many calculators indicated they nicehash pool is less profitable to other pools

I noticed the difference when using other calculators from betterhash, Minerstat and others, I really think that nicehash are ripping miners off, the difference is big that's why you will never see nicehash on the first like of any calculator not even on whattomine website, all these calculators can't be wrong at the same time
