Ethereum has so much potential, that $2,000 is not even considered as an exaggeration of what their future price will be. There's about $4.5 billion staked for ETH 2.0 and if things go smoothly on the development side, we could be looking at more than $2,000.

Continuous improvements like what Ethereum is doing is what's making it so successful, and potentially (I don't wanna say exceed Bitcoin, but the sky's the limit of ETH). That's why I appreciate projects who are going for the same route, similar to how Polkadot has helped power STP 2.0 and enable the issuance of cross-chain tokens in their ecosystem. That's a huge boost right there, especially that DOT is moving close to its ATH (It validates the work that they do)

You do not even need any data to see that it will definitely break over it very soon. First of all it broke over 1.5k already and that is a great thing, secondly when bitcoin was going over 20k it had a hard time but managed to break over it eventually and now we are at 35k already, which is a proof that same will happen in ethereum as well.

Last but not least, ethereum has a huge transaction fee problem, its blockchain is clogged with tiny payments that keeps getting failed but tried, and we are in a situation where every reason for leaving ethereum and going to another coin for it exists but people still keep going for ethereum. Also there are more and more defi reasons to keep having ethereum as well which is why I really think that we are not going to end up with anything low this year, in 2021 we are definitely seeing 2k and even maybe 3k price.

If you check the amount of ethereum in exchanges you will see that the supply is going down each day and it is already at all time low which simply means that there are very low or no sellers if this trend continues i expect eth price to reach very very big in few months time.

As much as it is very pleasing to hear eth price is going up many are equally concerned about the outrageous gas fees erc20 token holders have to endure, what are the eth dev doing about this situation,  it is no longer funny to see the amount you will pay to transfer some few tokens, sometimes even the gas fee will be higher than the transfer  
The more the price increases the more the gas fee will increase,  we are in trouble

Of course, the price of ethereum will go up a lot this year. Already today, the price of this coin is $ 1,629. This is yet another ethereum price record. So up to $ 2,000 is already very close. Crypto twitter is full of very ambitious targets for eth and the reason is that the bull market is confirmed now because both eth and btc have broken above their previous highs it is a matter of time now when we will see even more intense parabolic moves.

From a clear sense, looking at the market at the moment and most importantly the current price of Ethereum it is very likely that the target of $2000 will be surpassed, although this is most likely to happen based on our own assumption and speculation but we should also bear in the back of our mind that, this is the crypto space and anything can happen, which might cause a dump in the market therefore cutting short the speculation. However, at least till date, it can be seen that coins like Ethereum has stood its ground and grew till it surpassed its previous ATH while setting another one, which of course adds further to the fact that Ethereum is actually the second best coin in the crypto space worthy of holding long term together with Bitcoin.
