Basically  internet fraud has been on the hike(increase) or rise in recent times, several scam cases here and there both locally and international.
Youths of this generation has  made fraud look  cool, and legalized without considering the circumstances involved and penalty if been caught in the process.
Most adolescents have been lured into scamming people for their hard earned money, most of them are even supported by the parents this days to join their friends and colleagues to learn the illicit act of scamming   people.
Nowadays youths have made  scamming   look like a good hustle, and if you are not indulging yourself into it.. you are been made look like an outcast. So many are trooping in joining the new so-called trend of the today society..
In most African countries like Nigeria it's been called YAHOO YAHOO, those into it are called "YAHOO BoYS" this has made young people of today shun white collar jobs.
My advice to the youths of today, is don't let anyone  make you feel people ain't making it genuinely, the law of karma stands till tomorrow, karma has y'all addresses.

This is something that is gradually becoming a mainstay in the society today, it's almost like a the welcome way to avoid focusing on what your government didn't provide for it citizens as suppose.
For this menace to be eradicated successfully, the standard of living have to be improved, improving the education sector also should be prioritize and creations of more jobs for the masses to reduce poverty to it minimal.

OP  history has always celebrated con artistes and described them as intelligent and cunning people. We made them famous.
We made movies about them, we wrote books about con artistes(these were all successful btw). Name five of your favorite movies, two would be about a heist or a big con. These kids grew up watching these movies, intrigued by them loved the adventure. You can't blame them if they decide to be Ocean 11 instead of your friendly neighbor spiderman.
There will always be gullible people and there will always be scammers...prey and predator. It is the way of the jungle. Defend yourself and guard your mind with knowledge. That's the way to go

First things first, Internet scams and other fraudulent activities are not only carried out by youths. By standard, a youth is someone between the age of 15-24, we have almost half the bulk of internet fraudsters and scammers above the youth age range. Secondly, it is not just enough to say no to internet fraud, we should say no as well to all kinds of fraud, online & offline!

1.He didn't say that only youths carried out ONLINE FRAUDS, but instead he says that it was the YOUTH of these generation that make it looks cool.  Undecided

2.Small steps buddy small steps, Do it one by one. We all want a clean community and it is normal to wish for fraud to be gone, but we must take each specific fraud out differently, thats why this is only focused in ONLINE FRAUD.

The important thing to note is why people fall for the scams ? The reason is that most people do not have regular income and therefore they get attracted to anything which gives them free money. The only way to keep away from these scams is not to be greedy and also do not go after quick rich programs.

There is always an adverse phase to every advance in development and as uncool as it would be, some people are meant to suffer the cause of their ignorance. This is 2hat calls for more an more awareness through which ever means to ensure those around you don't fall victim.

On the part of the way the society takes scamming, I know the society isn't any fanatic about the act, its very .ugh frowned at but, for the young individuals that aren't into scamming, it becomes very depressing and undermining to watch another youth doing good out of scamming. Its a temptation every youth face but, your strength is in your ability to ignore and not giving in.

When the governments are not giving the empolyment then people will starve to death and few of them ready to accept the penalty instead of starving which is one of the major reason why hackers are exists. Mostly hackers do it for fun or they hack money from bank accounts and give it to poor people.

Have you heard about a story of a Russian hacker who is just a teen who managed to hack billions of dollars and gave it to the poor people of Africa?

And he accepted the penalty of 17 years in jail with full of smile on his face. Smiley
