Can you share the transaction id here so that we can say if he is bull shitting you or not?

Everything can be seen in blockchain, perhaps it is not yet confirmed, that's why he says that he didn't get the money yet. In any case though, giving us the transactions id, we can verify what you have sent or if someone has received it already.

1. The transaction Hash ID
2. The sending address(es)
3. The fees
4. The receiving address(es)
5. The transaction’s status

Someone once explained to me that when sending coin to another address one must ensure that the address he is sending it to is compatible to the one you're sending it from.
This will happen when they are not compatible.
The coin sent will vanish without knowing where it went to, and that means a loss to you.

So, make sure you send btc to btc address, eth to ether address etc.

Dude, don't use Bitcoin to buy something on the internet.Invest in Bitcoin and wait for the Bitcoin price to increase. You can use Paypal or credit cards to buy stuff on the internet.
However,if you plan to use Bitcoin when buying online, always make sure to use an escrow-a third party, which holds your coins and let you release your coins to the seller, but only after your confirm that you received the product/service.

The gist of it is you got scammed. You said that you already did pay and the message popped up that the payment is received so this means that you just got scammed. That is a typical line for a scammer saying that they didn't receive it yet hoping to get more from you. Next time, use an escrow for online transactions regarding bitcoi.

How exactly can one go wrong with that? You don't have to look if the address is compatible since the wallet does that for you, but how difficult is to look on the address before hitting send? You can't just send bitcoins to an ethereum address...

Do you understand what you're suggesting him here? Everyone can use bitcoin as a medium of exchange, why shouldn't they? Why should all have to do with profit on bitcoin? Can't they see that it frees the people?

I wonder how the OP got on? did the funds land and gas the receiver of those confirmed?

This is one of the scenarios Bitcoin was designed for so why wouldnt he use Bitcoin.

I wonder if he had instructed the 'seller' to encrypt a PGP message on the address the 'buyer'
was to send to would give a form of proof of transaction on top of the public ledger?

Where in the post did it say that the payment has been received? It only says payment is completed. Coinpayment is a third party platform and if they say the transaction is complete then that could mean they already processed the transaction. We don't know if they paid high fees to make sure the transaction confirms faster than the rest.

Someone once explained to me that when sending coin to another address one must ensure that the address he is sending it to is compatible to the one you're sending it from.
How exactly can one go wrong with that? You don't have to look if the address is compatible since the wallet does that for you,
I have read cases where the wallet failed to reject recipient addresses that are from different blockchains.

Dude if you wanna go p2p, start with Localbitcoins. Go get verified and then trade with also verified people who recently completed trades. There's an escrow system with a method to arbitrate in case anything goes wrong.

Crypto and internet are riddled with scammers. Trust no one. Trust tech, escrow.

You're right. There is a concept of Cross-chain transactions in the network. For example, when you sending a LiteCoin (LTC) to the Bitcoin (BTC) wallet or Ethereum Classic (ETC) to the Ethereum (ETH) address it will be difficult to you to manage these funds further and they can get stuck in your wallet. Sure, you won't be able to mix up the addresses and send BTC to the Ethereum wallet but you should still be careful and check the addresses you use to transfer. Measure twice, cut once Wink

is he bullshiting me as on coinpayment.com it says my payment is completed???

If the memory serves me well, it is possible that the seller set a certain time in which you should have made the transaction, or in which the transaction should have received the first confirmation. In case this happens, your BTC is actually stuck on coinpayments - but as others have already written, it is possible that this person wants to cheat you because you are a beginner.

Dude, don't use Bitcoin to buy something on the internet.Invest in Bitcoin and wait for the Bitcoin price to increase.

This is really the advice of a true Bitcoin believer who just wants to make money, and believes that Satoshi Nakamoto was wrong to make Bitcoin as a currency. If there were fewer people thinking like this, maybe Bitcoin would be more accepted than it is today.

The first thing you must confirm before proceeding to send Bitcoin to a seller is his store legitimacy, because if he is not legit, or just starting his business, he will not care about his shop reputation and could easily scam anybody, including you. So if you don't know personally the seller or where his store his, most likely he will not return your Bitcoin payment and will insist that he didn't receive the payment.

So I suggest, just move on and learn your lesson. Because even if you provide a proof that he receives the payment by sending him the Blockhain screenshot of your transaction, trust me, he will either block you or never response to your message again.

Wait for another hour or minutes because sometimes the transaction is having a delay or traffic because when you are making a transaction on bitcoin or another cryptocurrency like ethereum and etc. The second thing is always to check if you really transfer the bitcoin into the correct bitcoin address or if it is a bitcoin address and not a ethereum address. The transaction must be always bitcoin address is to bitcoin address and ethereum address is to ethereum address. Always make sure that the addresses that you are sending is compatible with your address.

How much do you know about Bitcoin and how to send it, although it is pretty easy to send but you also need to make sure you can differentiate Bitcoin address from other cryptocurrency addresses. Also, if you are sure you sent the Bitcoin to the correct address there is only one reason why he is yet to get it and that is, the transaction is yet to be confirmed. Most times, Bitcoin transactions can take time owing to congestion in network, but if you are sure you didn't customize the fee, then be rest assured it will get confirmed. In case of another time, first and foremost check the transaction hash or transactions ID to know if the transaction has been confirmed or not, this you can use as a proof to show you really sent the Bitcoin.

I do not have a Coinpayment account, I just saw the website and it is difficult for a beginner because it is not intuitive. I understand why P2P exchanges are so useful today. So people new to bitcoin can buy their coins, quickly, easily and safely.

I would recommend that OP try to buy bitcoin on these local exchanges. Think of Binance, it supports a large number of currencies.

Returning again with Coinpayment, any user who correctly follows the steps to buy bitcoin should have their coin, you just have to be patient and wait. If time has passed then you should ask for support and state the facts.

In the future, it is important to consider buying bitcoin on reputable exchange platforms.

The OP has not gotten back yet on this thread. Wonder if he already received his coins or not? But yes, it is better to trust top exchanges like Binance. They have p2p also if he wants to. But don't ever trust someone from social media to do any kind of crypto transaction for you. You can always do it on your own. But make sure you are on the official sites before you sign up.
