This would be a tremendous advantage for the employees and could be essential to riches in the future. You can never expect what the price of Bitcoin has in the future, but building something small and waiting for it to grow would be fulfilling. I mean, maybe if they have somewhat a payment plan or salary plan that they would receive a portion of their pay directly into BTC and still utilize how they are getting paid at the current time.
I just thought that if the handler of their payments made a mistake on transaction fees. They might regret having their pay in BTC. (If they badly need it right away)

It's a step towards mass adoption. I predicted at some point in the future localities will start issuing out bitcoin payments in some form before it's adopted on a federal level. If mayors can get the ball rolling, governors will back bitcoin, until it's used on the federal level.
Andrew Yang was a Presidential candidate in the US 2020 elections, felt he would have been the most pro-Bitcoin President had he won.

I hope that you are right, because when this bull run ends and a dump season starts, people will be looking for the one who is at fault and knowing how a government/politics work, they will be looking for an scapegoat. I can see this adoption going at a state level but at federal level, the path that they are going to take will be the eye of a needle which means that a lot of thing will need to be considered and a lot of people will be giving their opinions about this adoption and some of them will not be agreeing for a federal level adoption. I don't think that Yang will have a chance, not at this current climate in America where racism becomes rife more than ever again, if he were to win, I would agree that he will be in favor of bitcoin because a good businessman always go for what makes the more money.

It seems like a great movement for the crypto community to be recognized by many people, that country who will do that thing will be benefited in the future because as of now for sure they are learning the world of cryptocurrency because they will get paid for bitcoin soon. This would be a beginning of mass adoption, there should be something or someone who will need it to start and for sure a lot of people will do the same.

The main issue right now with this salary using bitcoin, is if the employer adds the exchange rate from BTC-USD in their paychecks, cause if not, then I would rather have a fiat paycheck than btc, as we know that btc is very volatile and as soon as the paycheck come, price can crash.

This is new to me but i think its not good enough if the people will adopt this kind of changes.
first they dont have a prior knowledge about the cryptocurrency. Its so much hassle to them makes a deposit and withdrawal.
Second the market of the bitcoin is volatile of the salary given to them and then the market unexpectedly drop its a huge loss to them.
still its a favor on the fiat currency this is the most fair and favor to them just me thought.

Bitcoin is going to another organize to achieve its milestone,If Bitcoin will be utilized as compensation installment for workers I think this will be a gigantic break for Bitcoin. Not as it were the arrange will make a colossal request for the showcase, but it'll too empower a genuine mass appropriation since each ordinary worker will have a get a handle on of Bitcoin and be able to execute with it. I trust Miami will sort this arrange as before long as conceivable and begin paying their worker in BTC.The trend will be in corporate division to begin paying with BTC.

This is a great step forward in Bitcoin adoption, but I wonder if they have the necessary legislation to actually make this choice. Moreover, if you have you pay more in taxes for your salary in BTC than for salary in USD, it would have negative impact on Bitcoin. It would also be great if people could not only receive the salary in BTC, but spend it in BTC as well because otherwise there isn't much point to this as one would have to convert to fiat for usage of this money anyway. Regardless of these issues, it's a great initiative and I hope it works out.

To be honest this is a very good move that they are taking here. It is good knowing that this is something that is coming from the government, they are the ones pushing it and telling people to make use of it, that’s really good.
This is not how it is every other places, and I wish other governments will understand cryptocurrency this way and realistic that it is part of our future so that they too can as well accept and push it like they are doing in Miami right now. I know all it’s going to take is time, and when the time comes they are going to do what is right.

Great news, would help on the adoption of crypto in general, just like us campaigners, we are paid btc pegged with btc, if they want to invest, they can hold their salary when the market is not bullish as they can make a good amount of bitcoin, but when the market is bullish, no reason to hold if you have some expenses that you need to attend to.
I'm just saying about some strategy to benefit, but this is really a good news and for sure, bitcoin ATMs will also increase.

No one in the right sense will avail their salary in a volatile currency. These kind of news are popping up and i feel like laughing as it is something great, in fact it is not. I will never ever take my salary in bitcoin because i want the freedom to invest according to my choice and giving the employees the option to avail the salary is not bad either.

Would be happy if the company I worked on would do that, but it seems like way to far away yet to happen because of the common misconceptions of Bitcoin being a scam or being an illegal coin. For sure as what you mentioned, Satoshi's vision would be slowly be concrete. Adoption of merchants is another matter of discussion though/

I'm thinking there would be some issues since bitcoin is so volatile unless the company is also investing in bitcoin they need to change the amount every time it's payday or calculates the amount.
For sure there will be some huge fees if you choose bitcoin as a salary and for me getting a fiat salary is better and then just buy bitcoin on your own.
I'm not against it but I just don't think that it is a good time to use a volatile currency in these transactions, for me, bitcoin is a good investment for now and not as a currency that you could spend.

Well, it is kinda good on how this mayor of Miami recognizes the worth of Bitcoin that it wanted to implement it to its constituents to let them experience the greatness having their salaries in terms of Bitcoin because it is such an opportunity having even a part of Bitcoin to be owned within your account. But it must still let people to choose freely if they wanted to get their salaries in Bitcoin or in fiat for the reason that there might be some employees who still prefer the traditional way of getting their salaries and already contented with that for they do still not understand how they can be able to use Bitcoin. But all in all, it is such a great move done by the mayor of Miami once it becomes fully operational implementation.

As the world is now witnessing the rise of Bitcoin in both terms growth and price many big institutions and government are recognising the need of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies in their system. The Miami mayor Francis Suarez said that Miami city employees could soon choose to get paid in Bitcoin rather than in USD as salary because he wants to expand the Bitcoin adoption throughout the city. Crypto enthusiast and experts like CEO of twitter Jack Dorsey are calling it a smart move as they what impact it will have on growth of Miami city: The persons, institutions, governments with wide prespective who know what financial payment system will work in future are already making rules and regulations to adopt Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies along with blockchain technology to stay ahead in future with economic becoming strong of nation. CointelegraphWhat are your thoughts about this? its legit. i read an article about that. here is the link: https://www.forbes.com/sites/rogerhuang/2021/02/01/miamis-mayor-leads-the-charge-to-bring-bitcoin-to-americas-largest-cities/?sh=c744660c6c921. Miami is considering giving city employees the opportunity to get their salaries paid in bitcoin 2. Local fees and taxes could be paid in bitcoin or some other cryptocurrency 3. Finally, the city’s treasury might place some of its investment capital into bitcoin, which would be a first for major cities in the United States (and perhaps in the world)

What Major Francis Suarez did will surely make the city of Miami thrive, because adopting Bitcoin is a very good decision. State leaders should have extensive knowledge related to the world of finance, don't just because Bitcoin is decentralized, rejects Bitcoin right away. There is always the best solution so that Fiat and Bitcoin can help each other, I believe that Major Francis Suarez did accept Bitcoin as a payroll and tax payment not because he wanted to replace fiat. But because they want to help people open up to Bitcoin, and can provide an alternative to making payments.
