I've transferred BTC from my seed-only hardware wallet into my passphrase protected hardware wallet with the same provider.
The transaction has been included into the blockchain.
I successfully entered the passphrase protected wallet and checked the received funds.
A few days later I entered the wallet again and couldn't find my funds anymore.
It says "0.00 BTC, no transactions yet."
I'm sure I'm using the correct passphrase as it is short and easy to remember.
In the meantime I have logged into the beta version of the Ethereum wallet with the same provider. I've been prompted repeatedly to disconnect an reconnect the device. Might the beta wallet have caused the issue?

Try to download electrum wallet in a safe computer and connect it to your hardware wallet, I do not know the type of ethereum wallet you use as the wallet extension, but electrum wallet will be better. Your funds are still likely on your wallet, the reason why the wallet do not recognized any transaction history means the wallet extension is the cause of the issue. Download electrum from electrum.org, verify the signature and connect it to your hardware wallet, your funds should appear.

I've transferred BTC from my seed-only hardware wallet into my passphrase protected hardware wallet with the same provider.

I can't understand this? Do you mean that you sent BTC to seed phrase that generated from hardware wallet with passphrase protected?

If you do that you won't receive anything from your wallet.

Much better to add more information about your issue.
What wallet you currently using?
And what hardware wallet do you use?
Do you have a backup words seed?

Maybe the wallet you are trying to check is not syncing properly?

Here's a sample format that you should do before you post:

The two options here are your wallet is not syncing properly, you are not in the correct wallet. The easiest way to determine which of these is happening, is to enter your passphrase protected wallet and look for the address you sent all your coins to. If it is there, but shows no balance, then it is a sync issue, and I would try using your hardware wallet with a different piece of software, such as Electrum as Charles-Tim has suggested above. If the address is not there, then you are not in the correct wallet and so have most likely entered the wrong passphrase, although it could also be a problem with the derivation path.

What hardware wallet are you using? What piece of software are you using to interact with your hardware wallet?

OP's post is quite unclear. What does mean provider? Just to clear you, if you received a device with a pre-generated seed phrase then you have been scammed. But the transaction supposes to be there. If you are trying on Electrum then look into the address where you had sent funds. If the address isn't there then you have to create another wallet with changing address type. I am using Ledger into Electrum. So I had to create a file for each type of address like Legacy and SegWit. When I need to use login with Legacy then I have to select the appropriate file. I am not using my seeds, I am connecting the device directly to Electrum. So you have to select the correct derivation path for your desired address.

I've transferred BTC from my seed-only hardware wallet into my passphrase protected hardware wallet with the same provider.
Right... so you've moved your funds from the "default" wallet on your HW, to one that is "hidden" behind a passphrase. Is that correct? Huh

The transaction has been included into the blockchain.
You've confirmed that the transaction has > 0 confirmations by looking at a blockexplorer

I successfully entered the passphrase protected wallet and checked the received funds.
You tested your passphrase and you were able to see the funds.

A few days later I entered the wallet again and couldn't find my funds anymore.
It says "0.00 BTC, no transactions yet."
Now, when you try to view it, none of it is showing...

I'm sure I'm using the correct passphrase as it is short and easy to remember.
As a side note, it probably isn't a great idea to use a short/easy passphrase... it kinda defeats the purpose and if your hardware wallet is a Trezor, could spell trouble if you device is physically stolen and someone retrieves the seed phrase. Bruteforcing the short/easy passphrase could be "trivial"

In any case, I agree with o_e_l_e_o... likely just a syncing issue... or you've just entered the wrong passphrase. Does it contain a mix of lower/uppercase and/or symbols? It's possible that you just mis-typed using SHIFT or CAPSLOCK when you originally set it up, if you were typing quickly.

I'm sorry I didn't describe the issue very well.
Please find enclosed some additional information:

Hardware Wallet: Trezor One
Wallet names:
- Trezor wallet (for BTC) https://wallet.trezor.io
- Trezor beta wallet (for ETH) https://beta-wallet.trezor.io/next/#/
Description of Problem: sent BTC funds are not shown in recipient wallet
Related Addresses:
- frist transaction: 371HaxAKjJaEMtWLxm1UEpFnH8C2ehuFj2
- second transaction: 32GS4agqd6gzysdjxeVdJucuWhzVc88Xzp
Related Transaction IDs:
- first transaction: 599216c0d80b75f82ee87967c08271426f1a3d4e00c435958b44a4073dadb4c8
- second transaction: d08e36020a08872b3aec8fe0f2551b28c7ac4252dfb8f71d2baa9a5e3bbf4c90

The complete history of the process:
- transferred 0.0495 BTC from the default wallet into one hidden behind a passphrase (first transaction)
- entered the hidden wallet, balance showed 0.04595 BTC received
- transferred 0.04327862 BTC from default wallet into hidden wallet (second transaction)
- entered the hidden wallet, balance showed 0.04595 BTC received and 0.04327862 BTC received
- entered Trezor beta wallet
- entered the hidden wallet, balance shows 0.0 BTC, "no transactions yet", no used receive addresses

The assumptions of HCP are exactly correct. His formulation is better than mine (sorry again)!

@ Coolcryptovator
I bought the device directly from Trezor.
I have a 24 word back-up seed, which I didn't enter anywhere yet.
The passphrase is on top of the seed to create a hidden wallet. To enter the hidden wallet you have to enter the PIN and the passphrase, which worked well at the beginning.

@ o_e_l_e_o
I have entered my passphrase protected wallet and looked for the addresses I sent my coins to.
The addresses are not there.
You are right, that suggests I'm not in the correct wallet.
I don't know how that comes about, because I'm sure I have entered the correct passphrase. (That's why I gave the hint, that my passphrase is short and easy to remember.)

@ Charles-Tim
The Electrum wallet is probably better than the Trezor wallets.
I have contacted the Trezor support. I want to await their response first. After that I will try the Electrum wallet as you described it.

The only explanation, given the information you have offered, is that the passphrase you are entering is incorrect... The BIP39 passphrase mechanism will not tell you if your passphrase is "incorrect"... it will just generate a completely different set of private keys/addresses.

This is both a blessing (it's the foundation for the plausible deniability and "hidden" wallets etc)... and, as you are discovering, a curse... as it makes it when dealing with "typos".

Does your password use a combination of lower/upper/symbols/numbers? If so, do you hold "SHIFT" when typing UPPERCASE or symbo!s? It seems like a simple "typo" had resulted in a "double UPPER" or something like that... ie. instead of typing "Password", you've accidentally typed "PAssword"... or possibly the reverse... and you've missed one... so instead of "P@ssword", you've entered "P2ssword"

Given that your password is apparently "short and easy to remember", it should theoretically be possible to recover it by bruteforce if necessary... Although, I'd recommend trying different combinations yourself manually if possible... as to brute force it, you're going to need to (potentially) "expose" your seed by typing it into the computer when running the bruteforce scripts like "btcrecover"... which will compromise the integrity of all your wallets/keys. Undecided

I think this is your issue, and as others have suspected it's most likely a synchronization issue.  Trezor has disabled it's beta wallet and is recommending users use it's Trezor Suite software.  Here's what I get when I go Trezor's beta wallet link:

I prefer to use Electrum for bitcoin transactions, but I've used the Trezor Suite for altcoins, and it's alright.

- entered Trezor beta wallet
- entered the hidden wallet, balance shows 0.0 BTC, "no transactions yet", no used receive addresses
So, are you using the beta wallet to try to access your passphrase protected wallet? Can you try to access your passphrase protected wallet using the standard Trezor wallet again? It may the beta version is doing something incorrect with the seed derivation process or the derivation path (it is beta, after all).

I think this is your issue, and as others have suspected it's most likely a synchronization issue.
He says that he does not see the addresses he sent his coins to in the new wallet he accesses with his passphrase, so it is not a sync issue. He is in the wrong wallet.

My next step would be to download and verify Electrum, link that with you Trezor wallet, and try to access your passphrased wallet through that.

Did he?  I'm sorry if I missed that, all I see is this:

- entered Trezor beta wallet
- entered the hidden wallet, balance shows 0.0 BTC, "no transactions yet", no used receive addresses

He said he sees the transactions in the trezor.io/wallet, but not the beta wallet.  If he's using the beta wallet it's not going to sync because it's been disabled.  I don't know that he's used the beta wallet to try to generate a new receiving address to compare with the trezor.io/wallet, I'm not sure he's gotten that far.

Yeah, he says further down here:
I have entered my passphrase protected wallet and looked for the addresses I sent my coins to.
The addresses are not there.
You are right, that suggests I'm not in the correct wallet.

As you say, at some point he was able to enter the right passphrased wallet and see his balance had been received, but now he is only entering the a wallet which is showing different addresses altogether. So the best steps would be to go back to square one and try to enter the passphrased wallet in the exact same method as before, using the exact same piece of software (i.e. the standard Trezor software and not the beta).

I think there is a misunderstanding according the beta wallet.
The Trezor beta wallet is for Ethereum and ERC 20 tokens only.
My Trezor passphrase protected wallet is a BTC wallet.
I didn't enter the beta wallet to access my passphrase protected wallet.
I entered the beta wallet just to get to know it.
Why is that worth mentioning?
The passphrase protected wallet worked fine before I visited the beta wallet. The issue occurred after I visited the beta wallet. Maybe that's a coincidence. Maybe there is a connection.
DireWolfM14 quotes the Trezor website: "Closed Beta is designated for experimental testing and access is limited exclusively to the Beta Testers Community." This might be an interesting hint.
I didn't see that message when I entered the beta wallet in January.

I think there is a misunderstanding according the beta wallet.
The Trezor beta wallet is for Ethereum and ERC 20 tokens only.
In any case, if you are entering the passphrase protected wallet in the same manner and using the same software as you did when you saw the coins in it, but are now entering a different wallet in which you do not see the addresses which hold your coins, then all else being equal the only answer is that you are entering the wrong passphrase.

Since you are using a Trezor One, then you must have entered the passphrase using your computer keyboard. Did you accidentally have Caps Lock pressed when you were using it before? Or maybe Num Lock and therefore you did not enter some numbers? Try any typos you might have made as suggested above.

If you still can't access your coins, then the only option left is going to be to try to bruteforce your passphrase.

The Trezor beta wallet is for Ethereum and ERC 20 tokens only.
If you are talking about Trezor Suite beta wallet, it is supporting Bitcoin and all other coins that Trezor supports, and it is best to download the software because there could be some phishing web versions.

You should also check what address format you used for Bitcoin and was it starting with number 1, 3 or bc1, because Suite default address format is Native Segwit bc1, and you need to add one or more older address formats starting with 1 and 3 because they are separated.
Default address format for Trezor wallet before Suite was released was starting with number 3.

As far as I can tell, Trezor Suite should automatically find all the "accounts" that have transaction history as part of the "discovery" process it does when you connect your device.

Mine shows up Native SegWit, Nested SegWit and Legacy.

So, if OP had a Nested SegWit account, prior to using Trezor Suit, it should should automatically be added and shown.
