Bounty manager is focusing on quality over quantity which is a good move to eliminate spam and low quality post from bounty hunters. I don’t think it’s funny that there are still many open slot on that campaign since it just mean that most of the bounty hunters has a low quality post history. You can use treat this as an opportunity to step up your posting quality and join on this campaign to enjoy a high pay rate since only few user will share the bounty(considering the campaign is not fixed rate).

I don't see the BM asked must earned 5 merit in last 120 days to join the campaign, he only ask merit earned in last 120 days on the proof of authentication.

But well, I like the initiative about the requirement on bounty section it will reduce many spammer/shitposter to join a campaign. I think all BM should follow @irfan_pak10 to ask minimum merit requirement to able join the campaign.

Originally I launched this campaign with merit requirements but later removed it since many members and jr member doesn't usually have merits. BUT I'll be reviewing post quality of these members closely.

Situation isn't as before as anymore. Every BM looking quality poster, and they have right to ensure best possible feedback from the campaign. But, impose merit requirement in bounty campaign kinda weird to me and it's unnecessary practice. In case, the most BM looking only big number of participants not quality.

I think the 5 merits request have been removed, I saw it there too but not it's not on the bounty thread anymore, maybe the bounty manager have a change of heart after noticing that very limited bounty hunters joined the campaign

It's a good strategy   , this is the only way to cob spammers some times, also it shows who is active and also a good poster too, I don't go against the idea at all, we have so many bounty hunters who are aiming to complete daily posts only without thinking about making quality posts

So the said rule was been changed and now he had removed this merit requirement but basing off on my own personal opinion is that this is just right to be implemented.
This will limit out those spammers around but somehow when it comes to bounty, they do really need maximum exposure and it isnt really needed to for them to be
strict when it comes on choosing or letting people joined the bounty.So it isnt really surprising that they will really be changing it off once they do saw that there are
lots havent able to quality on such criteria.

That was the initial requirement but when the turn up was poor the bm has adjusted the rules, I don't think that requirement is still valid because now more participants with less merit earned in the 120 days are accepted,  project is good so it is expected to have quality participants at the same time get the needed exposure which is the main essence of the campaign.

Many BMs tries to impose that rule in order to filter out spammers/shitposters and it is quite great to be a requirement.
Though some wouldn't, but have stricter posting quality requirement.
It isn't that hard to earn merit when you don't think about it actually.

That's true but bounty hunters gotta take the risk if they feel satisfied enough, I heard they raise some money successfully through a presale part or something, anyways this doesn't still determines if the project will be successful or not, the rules are just too strict for my liking

Do you watch sovrin? if you don't and you should watch it asap. Sovrin pre sale already sold out in a few minutes only dude and that was using itcoin as the bast price. I see the quality of this project and the team is really active at this moment.
BM already removed the merit requirements and he is accepting participants right now. I don't even think that will be a valueless coin for sure.
We will see that the base price was around 2500 satoshi for each sovrin and some venture capital already joined.

You do understand that bounty hunters are the most despised group in this community keeping aside the scammers and cheaters that already exist. However not just bounty hunters but many users who post in different sections too dont get merited on every post.

But for the bounty hunters the scene is completely different, if they are posting twitter reports for pages and pages they will never get a single merit. Even then I feel that these "users" can stop this dream of getting paid from bounties and move on the more general sections of the forum and become involved in discussions

From the manager's perspective, I can understand the situation. Still if merit becomes a requirement on shitcoin bounties, there will be a huge dearth of applicants which will weed out a lot of spammers.

From what I saw on the Bounty Thread of Sovryn there's no such thing as 5 merit prerequisite before joining the bounty campaign and just like what @irfan_pak10 told us in this thread that he removed it due to most low rank members doesn't usually received a minimum merit. So you might wanna read back the whole thread to understand this matter.

So unusual? This isn't the first time I would see such request from a bounty manager, I don't think it's that bad, it's just a way to force people to make good quality posts only but unfortunately not everyone can earn merits from time to time

Unfortunately, but I am afraid that when it comes to high quality posters, they take part in BTC paid campaigns. At the moment there are quite a lot of good paying campaigns on Bitcointalk, so when it comes to bounty it won't be possible to attract high quality posters. This could work if the campaign was paid weekly, but as I can see it's a monthly campaign. BTC paid campaigns are paid weekly, so participants don't have to wait a month. I think in monthly paid campaign only much higher rates could encourage more participants.
