I just got an email from NovaBlock that they are merging with Poolin. To quote the announcement:

"The merge with Poolin ensures the highest security for all NovaBlock clients. Now as we move forward as one of the leading mining pools, you can feel even more confident in NovaBlock. Following this change, Poolin will have 23 EH of hashrate."

I was going to try NovaBlock out later this year to see what the profit was going to be but now maybe not... I was mainly drawn to the concept of a North American pool with ownership and control centered in North America.

This seems a bit cray to me. If the owners of NovaBlock made a bunch of money I can appreciate that but pool consolidation is not what I thought they were about. Interesting times!

Any thoughts?

Any idea how we can retrieve our remaining balance suika game off of Novablock?
I'm also looking for a way to do this but no one has responded to a solution for this yet

Since Novablock has been merged into Poolin, I would definitely contact Poolin's customer support. Since the entire hashrate has migrated from Novablock, this should also have happened to the miner balances.
But only Poolins support can give you really reliable information about that.

I received an answer from their support:

That doesn't help us much....

I love answers like that. A typical support response to delay the case as long as possible.
If you read the article that came in the answer, it sounds like only the hashrate was really taken over:
Quote from: TheBlock
Post the hashrate acquisition, NovaBlock will continue to operate independently, Poolin vice president Alejandro De La Torre told The Block. Other aspects of its business will also remain unaffected, he said.
For me this actually means that existing credits have not been migrated and should still be with Novablock.
However, I see not much chances in that: the Twitter account has been dead since the end of 2020 and the official page has not been available for a long time.
