In general, I'm moving between positive and negative months; still, the final balance is nicely positive.

Within this one month I feel there have been some developments, where every month I receive 50-60% and that is enough for daily needs and cover during the ongoing pandemic. I am much more used to it than before, this is because there are very significant market movements from day to day. so that I have started to get used to reading the trading conditions for a period of one month.

Trading with percentage of profit in mind can be dangerous because it tempt you to greater and unnecessary danger. Gradual and consistent profit is better than gaining 200% at the month and loosing 300% the next time. Better make small percentage and not aim for higher gains. Anything around 30-50% is good business at the end of the month.

I think I got like 500% profit in just 7 days in 2017. Where any new ICO that get listed on exchange is still profitable to trade and they can get pumped after a while when the bounty hunter already sold their money and yeah for a regular trading I just set my own goal like 25% per month, so if I have $250 on trading then I should expect to get $62.5 every month. It's maybe too little for some people but hey at least it's convenient for me.

It's really amazing when we see our respective portfolio having huge gains but for me, what should we only focus on is to get a better result for every each of our trades. We might be pumped seeing our huge gains and forget how to focus and maintain the momentum.

With the market showing an uptrend, we can see over 100% profit gain by most of the people here not just within a month period.

Don't get me wrong but try to not get too excited. I remember how I started trading. There was a bull market, everything was growing, I was making a lot of money, I could not believe that the statistics (the average trader makes about 6% per year) are so easy to break. I was doing xx% monthly easyly. I felt like a god of trading and when I look at it in now, I know that even a monkey buying randomly would make a profit then.
This is characteristic for a bull market. It's the same now. Don't let your brain to turn on god mode. Don't bet your future on trading by extrapolating current profits into the future. Soon there will be a correction, a bear market, a bubble burst and the bull market childrens will lose everything they have earned along with what they put in trading. Thats hwo it usually ends.

Back to OP question. Many times +100% out of my algo trading strategy.

I am inconsistent and I don't intend to say how much it is. If you're asking this for the sake of inspiration, that's good for you and you have already made a good percentage just for your first month.

As you say, be positive and keep it.

Just don't be discouraged if the times of loss come to you because just like me, it's possible that you'll become inconsistent at one point.

I still cringe when I think of it today. Ended up garnering 400-500% in BTC profits. Still really not bad, but good lord I was stupid.

10-20% is the real expected profit from trading. Everything over that requires great luck and this can be considered extra profit. Also, when the price fluctuates +150%, there is to be expected a big dump and high loss in risk.
Usually, altcoins ^shitcoins can have some unrealistic growth, but they certainly carry the greatest risk when holding it. I am trying to stay away from it, everything out of the top 50.

I can be a bad trader but I have my daily target is 1% to 5% of profit from with I aim to get a lower and upper band of profit each month at 30% or 150%. Honestly, I feel satisfied if I can earn 2% profit each day and end with 60% each month. Some days I can get more than 5%, but some other days I stay outside the market as my priority is capital protection first.

I do my work every day and I don't expect to get a free profit-drop in one night: sleep, wake up and get huge profit >100%. I don't expect such.

If you have your humble target like mine, and have a good methodology and good discipline, you will regularly make profit.

Precisely. Many forget that the only way you can profit from your trade is when you sell.

I mean, hodling is fine if you believe in the coin and think it has a bright future, but if you want to profit you have to sell it at some point.

I am not trading on a regular basis as i am patient enough to wait and i have made profits in almost of the major coins in the market ranging in 3000% and sometimes even more, i never had any major losses in the market but there were times during the ICO boom that i was too greedy to hold for a much longer time and had to book the profit at a much lesser profit. Lessons learned and move on and now i am holding only top coins and waiting for the right moment to book my profit and it will be well above 150%.

Is this in BTC terms or USDT terms? Because I once made 600% in USD but that wasn't in btc, btc was less because btc price increased a lot as well during the same period, which meant I made a profit in btc a bit but I also gained from btc going up.

I turned 0.15 btc into 0.35 btc so it was just a bit over 2x normally, but at the same period bitcoin went super high (this was old times) so I made a total of 6x in USD and a bit over 2x in BTC that month. That stays as the best month I ever had in crypto, I did made a bigger profit in longer period of time, just even recently I bought bitcoin at around early April, and still hold it, so that is great but it wasn't one month profit, it was a profit for the whole year so I can't say I profited in a month. That personal best will probably never be broken, that was just surreal and I doubt I can replicate it.

Well, when I was a trader before I also can do that in just a month but later on when I am too much busy I don't have much time working as a trader.
The biggest percentage in a month that I encountered is only 60% in just a month, I know that everyone can do this but this moment I always treasured in my mind. Good to know that OP was able to manage and gain that huge profit, 142% in a week is not bad at all. Perhaps those altcoin traders will potentially gain profit

I get many months with more than 150% profits, that too in a day because I look for futures' scalp trades which have higher RR and just jump in them. I'm now slowly understanding the directions and it's becoming way easier for me to develop my capital to such an extent where I can diversify it in pieces to save remaining money and add more margin to an existing position.
