I got a pair of these that I am not going to use for my self that I will let go for a decent price.
I bought them only because I could not even find them online at the time and Seagate does not have them listed on their site (only 2 and 3tb).

You will need to use a mobo with 2.2tb infinity or other EFI boot method to boot off the drive and use Vista/7 64bit to use a GPT partition in windows. Linux has no issues with the GPT partition. Other Windows flavors can mount the drive as a 2.2tb and a remaining partition.

Asking $275 ea including shipping. MSRP $349

As seen on...

According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

A preview review of this drive was posted about two weeks ago on storagereview.com.   They found that it's getting close to 190MB/s on the outer tracks.  Shocked

http://www.storagereview.com/seagate_4tb_barracuda_xt_first_thoughts_review

Picked one up from shakaru over the holiday weekend (one of several good transactions I've had with shakaru).  Very nice drive and a really good deal!  Very happy with it.  Grin

I had already planned to meet up with shakaru to get a couple of heatsinks:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=51857.0

He had one on hand that he was using for testing that I picked up when I was down there on Friday.

I know the external version has been out for a bit, but didn't know that anyone had the internal version.  Even the storagereview.com review was only a preview and just posted on 11/17.

If anyone wants me to run some benchmarks on it, I can do that and post the results here.

Are these retail boxed drives or were they pulled from external enclosures?

Thank you,

They are retail box purchased for corporate data solutions. I assume this question is to know if they are bootable with uEFI and yes they are.

I also have access to surplus from the same project of WD 5tb drives. I do not yet have a price on them as I only have one atm with 4 more coming in later today.
If you have larger quantities or looking for some other type of drive like the 2tb or 3tb Xts, let me know as I can arrange such deals.

Could you dump me a list of disks you have (new/sealed ones?), or can obtain + timeframe and the estimated shipping costs to 1000 Brussels (Belgium)?
