New to crypto here ... so fascinated by the technology itself..

But one cant help feel with the amount of altcoins and other projects now that new commers into crypto simply feel its pointless to start becoming interested in the technology and bitcoin itself and the Satoshi story.

If you're feeling like that, you're not the one that feel it. Even us, people who were somehow quite in the market for a few years thought of that years ago. But to say that you're not yet late. It is only you that's thinking like that but in reality, there's more to grow to the market if you're wanting to invest or learn more about it. But you have already said that it's pointless because there are too many altcoins. Well, if you're just starting and you have that thought, you will really have hard time to think positive.

Those many altcoins are just a smoke screen. You know what the real deal is, Bitcoin!
From the time Bitcoin started raising eyebrows. Altcoins come and go but Bictoin always keeps at the top

welcome and nice that you post here. you are not too late, you made it here compared to too many people.
if you go loose and buy coins, please find out where you keep your coins. i think hatdware wallets are good and i have put together some information, i hope this helps you. All the best

No, it's never too late. Many of us felt the same way because we didn't get involved from the beginning. But look where we are now? Even if you'd bought bitcoin during the last ATH, early 2018, you'd have twice the value right now.

Just start small (don't invest more than you're willing to lose) and see where it takes you.

If you are truly "so fascinated by the technology itself," there is no reason to feel that you are "late to the party." If anything, Bitcoin' technology has improved through the years so coming today is never considered late.

I have only heard of this "late to the party" comment whenever the price of Bitcoin is talked about. But Bitcoin's price is not about its technology, right? However high or low Bitcoin's price is, the technology is there.

It's pretty simple my dude. If you're really not that interested with learning everything, it's either you just solely focus on Bitcoin(because it's what mostly matters), or just do something else entirely.

As for being "late to the party", while it might seem like it due to the recent price rise, you're really not.

Not at all. There actually is only a handful of altcoins, possibly less than 5 that actually have some "technology" and aren't vaporware. The rest are copycats and useless. Anyone who checks out the altcoins under the hood instead of just looking at their prices would realize it soon enough.
Besides, when newcomers enter this world they don't really know about altcoins. In almost all cases they only know about bitcoin then they sometimes are bombarded by shitcoin advertisement. If they simply ignore the ads they wouldn't have any problem knowing bitcoin.

Bitcoin is only a little over ten years old, which is not much of an age lol 
I think we're just at the beginning of the road and a lot of great things are still to come, so don't worry, you aren't ''late to the party''.
I also advise you to learn everything you can about this new technology and make an effort to collect some bitcoin because it will be digital gold in the future.

you should try to widen your view about blockchain it's not only about one coin, if you are just looking at one, then you miss other opportunities to come, exploring and look for other alternatives should be what you are doing, especially with the prices that are higher than before, there is no such thing as late when it comes to crypto because there are lots of opportunities with blockchain.

we are always welcome here. i think its never late. Everyday there are new opportunities to gain. Its a good thing for us that we can take advice from expert in this forum. We should be thankfull to them.

No time is late friend here or in cryptocurrency investment. About investment, you are to look and search for a better volume coin to put your money and you can be lucky to make a good decision. So don't relax or give up hope.
