I believe, mos of the time, methamphetamine hydrochloride can do that to your psyche, which might be very popular among cryptocurrency traders from the U.S., and Europe, who moved to Thailand. I saw a tweet once from someone who looked like an OG from 2012, I’m not sure, posting a plastic container full of methamphetamines.

A British cryptocurrency trader is facing life in prison after an alleged drug-fuelled shooting spree on a speedboat near a Thai island.

Benjamin Robert Simpson, 33, reportedly took meth with a speedboat captain before cruising around Koh Samui together in the south of Thailand.

Terrified hotel staff cowered in fear as the Brit fired allegedly several rounds from a handgun near the shore on Wednesday (Feb 3).

Witnesses claimed that the British man went on a shooting spree in front of the five-star hotel he was staying at before returning to his luxury room.

Hotel staff had contacted the police for help after the incident and officers rushed to the establishment to arrest the man.

The fact that people are making that connection is the worst thing so far, and I have doubts if he is a trader but the article quoted doesn't specifically say it. This topic seems to be a targeted insult to someone in here or I could be seeing things. And if he is one of the users, do you think that he would admit it here? That kind of person is a coward.

There was absolutely no need for the article to even indicate that the man was a cryptocurrency trader lmao. Putting the description as a British man should've been more than enough. On the topic of the man though, looks like it was only a bad influence of drugs, and his collection should be legal since he was allowed to keep a collection of guns with him. Glad that it didn't escalate much to create an issue, more so that there were no accidents involved itself.

Being a crypto trader or Investor is one thing and being a drug addict altogether is another scenario as well, what I am trying to state is that, he being a crypto trader doesn't rule out the fact that he has issues, I mean this case scenario could be a banker, a doctor or whatever and when you break the law, you dance to the tone. Therefore even if the media states that a crypto trader or investor was arrested for crime, it doesn't change anything as same will be said of other category of people; maybe he had a quite a good profit and the best way to celebrate it is by shooting, since he threatens the life of people he ought to be arrested. Lastly, the issue here is totally not crypto but the man in question, and If he comes out from this, he will learn how to celebrate success or whatever peacefully.

There are Millions  or Hundred thousands of Traders in this market so having a bad egg is normal , and also Met is being popular for drug addict worldwide not only in Europe and US , because even in Asia there are too many cases of this kind of drug being busted .

yes, and also has nothing to do with the discussion in this forum. because be it a trader, investor, or bounty hunter, someone is free to do whatever he wants because it is outside the crypto forum. unless he's cheating on the crypto forum, that's what should be discussed.

I was reading your post and looking for words where it says cryptocurrency but no luck. Even though that kind of drug is most likely can be bought on the internet using cryptocurrencies. There is some kind of tendency that the man has not been a Bitcoiner his whole life and maybe he just got it from someone who got it from another source who doesn't even know about where the drugs came from. well if someone publishes such news and link crypto currencies to in or Bitcoin, that surely affect the image of bitcoins but nott today because most people in the world knows that this kind of has nothing to do with bitcoin like the fiat has nothing to do even though it was used for criminal activity, the word money or dollars has nothing to do with the crime.

I heavily agree with this and there's no point if he's a crypto trader or a big businessman or a doctor or whatever profession do he have.There's no exception when you do commit a crime

specially on illegal drugs or whatsoever violation or crime that  you had done.Everyone could really do such thing neither he had lots of crypto or does simply have lots of money.

It doesn't rule out on what are the possible thing you can do as long you do have the money to spend on.Its just right that he would really be put up on jail as usual.

Not all traders are taking illegal drugs, but I'm quite sure there are some. Meth are known to be a poor man's drug, and It can boost your mental stability temporarily and will help you awake 24hrs. Traders who suffers a lot of mental stress may use this kind of drug to relieve their stress, but If you're out of control It'll destroy your mental health.
But don't get me wrong, this person may not be a trader. He might be another drug syndicate that uses crypto trading to avoid getting suspected.

He allegedly traded cryptocurrencies, but is obviously not too smart to get acquainted with the laws of the country in which he resided.

From what can be seen in the video, this guy seems to me like a classic British hooligan who still lives in the belief that there is a British empire where he can do whatever he wants. It would be best for Thailand to deport him to the UK and permanently ban him from entering the country - to put him in prison for 20 years or for life is just a cost to the state.

Some people can't handle success and manage to lose most of the profits or do stupid things like this guy. I don't expect someone with that attitude, especially being under the influence of drugs being able to sustain wealth. However, we don't know half of his story and maybe we are judging him prematurely.
