What's the cheapest way? Is it true "convert"? "trade"?

I think the best way is to utilize the P2P system that they have on the platform. It's quite easy and you are safe from the possible frauds, etc. It's a way to get your crypto converted or whatnot. You could also trade your BTC with their pair USDT-BTC and buy with the current market price there.

With that being said, what are you going to do with the BTC? Trade it within Binance as well? Or cashing out? If you are cashing out, you need to withdraw it from your account after, but if you are just going to trade it in Binance, then you don't have to worry about that.

P2P is the cheapest way to get your crypto/fiat but transaction fees are ridiculous right now.

Just to use the USDT to trade on Binance.
Then you can take advantage of trading your BTC with the pair USDT-BTC in Binance and order it with Limit Order. To make sure you have less fees with it. Or if you can, check the P2P like I suggested and check what best offer you can get from trading with another member.

I believe the "Convert" option is the same thing as the trade page, it just uses a more "friendly" interface.

If you want to save on fees while trading, make sure that you're holding BNB in your spot wallet and when you withdraw, choose the USDT TRC20 option instead of the ERC or omni token.

It is simplier and more friendly maybe. Convert is for lazy people who don't want to spend time to find good offers and choose trade partners on P2P Binance or don't want do few steps with tradings to convert their crypto from one to another.

Convert has a minus point: spread. Binance frankly presents it in their FAQ: https://www.binance.com/en/convert (click on View more).

6. Are there any trading fees?

We do not charge any fees on OTC trades. However, there will be a spread (if you are buying, our prices will be above the market price. If you are selling, our price will be below the market price).

The spread effect is same on other exchanges/ marketplaces. Accept wider spread and use Convert. If you don't accept it, do it manually with a bit more time.  Smiley
