regular wallets for example such as Etherscan and Windows wallets, which do you think is the most secure for each campaign you participate in?
let's share a little because every Windows wallet I have ever participated in always fails to be exchanged or sold when the token is on the market exchange..
If you use Windows on your device as the operating system, then try to find a wallet application that is really supported for Windows or you can also go through certain official wallet websites.

Ethscan is not a wallet. An instance of regular wallets are Trust wallet, Imtoken and Coinomi etc. Or do you mean hardware wallets and software?
Yes, it is not a wallet, but just an ordinary application which does not function as a wallet, so the OP only needs an application that is completely compatible with the Windows operating system.

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

OP you don't need a windows wallet to participate in any bounty campaign, this days mobile wallets make things alot easier and many new projects prefer erc20 tokens than separate blockchain so you only need to use a Ethereum wallet and that starts from wallets like trust, coinomi, jaxx, exodus, Enjin, metamask etc, mind you etherscan isn't a crypto wallet

I don't think it's wise to join any bounty campaign that ask promoters to download windows wallet, in the past I've promoted such project and later it turned scam, if the project is a POW algorithm coin then it's still fair but if it has no proof of work algorithm then the windows wallet makes no sense to me, every smart developers under that more people around the world use smartphones more than their laptops and PC

I mean the Windows wallet offered by every small sample campaign like the bitdepositary bounty..
.

I think all wallets are safe, when we can use them and secure all seeds, passwords etc. Where you store it offline in order to avoid virus attacks or intruders through online activities.
if you mean a Windows wallet which is only valid during the campaign and after distribution. when everything is done then as you said for example bitdepositary wallet, the reality is not visible in google search, support it with campaigns that are no longer visible.

Maybe the failure is because you lack ETH for the gas fee.

But if that's just a coincidence then it has nothing to do with the wallet you use. As long as you're using a valid wallet and you're keeping the private keys or any form of the same.

Then, you're using the correct one, windows or regular or whatever you describe it.
Right, if the user has access to the private key and no one else has a copy of the private key, no need to worry about anything. The legit wallets are almost the same and have shared the same wallet features for both mobile and PC users. The key point is to have access to the recovery seed or private key if the wallet is hacked or stolen.
Yes.

That's the purpose of it. Once you lost your private keys or seeds then there's no hope for you whether you choose those wallets that you describe as regular or windows.

All of them are nearly the same but some are custodial.

You got it all wrong mate or maybe you made a typo error Etherscan is not a wallet, it's an explorer just like the blockchain explorer, etherscan is used to check any ERC20 transaction, but if you are looking good wallet it's best you make use of myEtherwallet on mobile phone, since you don't find the desktop wallets convenient, I wonder why you even make use of window wallet when wallets on mobile phones are much easy and convenient to use.

Online wallets are only safe if you do no transact anything suspicious online and that’s not Etherscan since its just like a blockchain explorer and I think MEW are indeed safe especially if you choose the best option. I still prefer to have a wallet where I can really control the keys, hard wallet might be the best option and with regards to ERC20 tokens, choose MEW or other wallet like Metamask.

I'd like to correct you dude, Etherscan is not a wallet instead it is like Ethplorer. And I don't use windows wallet, but most of the time
I used Myetherwallet, Trust wallet, Imtoken and Nano ledger something like that. So, these are already proven and tested to me already here and been using it for more than 1 year already and some are couple of years now.

You're probably not going to make a lot of money from campaigns unless you do them for a long time. It should be safe enough for small amounts to use a desktop wallet. For altcoins I have used Metamask in the past but now I'm in a campaign that pays in BTC and I use Wasabi Wallet.

For altcoins, we should always use a meta mask in order to protect our assets in the safe place, most of the people will divert their portfolio into different other wallets and stick to the most secure wallets in order to be in the safe game, we should be very careful with the links we are clicking.

yeah his post are confusing  . either or the two wallets that he think are i think not actually a wallet and i believe that his problem is the transaction fee and not in the wallet because fees are also the problem of many bounty hunters when they were trying to exchange thier tokens because they set or adjusted the fees into low when the recomended fee is supposed to be higher and the transaction just fail .

First of all, Etherscan is not a wallet unless I'm missing something because they are Ethereum Blockchain Explorer. Maybe you are referring to Web wallet(MyEtherwallet for example) compared Desktop Wallet like Electrum right?

Desktop wallet is safer than Web wallet because your data  is securely on your PC unlike Web wallet that you are prone on phishing. But it's more convenient to use Web wallet because you can access your wallet wherever you are. There is a pros and cons on each wallet type, It depends on your preference to choose the most suited to you.
I mean the Windows wallet offered by every small sample campaign like the bitdepositary bounty..
.

I am getting confuse with windows wallet? Do you mean, Desktop wallet?

The first thing, Etherscan is not a wallet.
Ok, maybe you mean is Web Wallet or Dekstop wallet. Both is same for me, because whenever i create a wallet, it has a private key, and i can import it in any wallet.

I think you are wrong, because Etherscan is not a wallet and in my opinion the best wallet at the moment are myetherwallet and Trust Wallet, but if I personally prefer to use Trust Wallet, because it is easy to use, simple and we can store any type of cryptocurrency on Trust Wallet (including Bitcoin and Binance), therefore I recommend you to use Trust Wallet instead of myetherwallet and of course Trust Wallet is also very safe, because I never had any problem using Trust Wallet until now.

There is a wallet and then there is a blockchain explorer or block explorer. A wallet includes Trust wallet, Enjin etc and an explorer is etherscan. Every blockchain have its own explorer which is used to track tokens as well as transactions, hence the reason we have different blockchains like Tron, Ethereum and their explorers, tronscan and etherscan respectively. Therefore talking or asking about etherscan means you are asking about Ethereum and supported wallets; actually be it could be windows wallet or regular wallet like Trust wallet, they offers same things and are good as well, hence in as much as you secure your private keys, you are safe and can import one into the other. Nevertheless, the only major difference is regular wallets are easily accessible, as they can open or work on smart phones while windows wallet can't.
On the other hand, asking about the wallet which is better to be used for each campaign depends on the campaign and the project in question, if the project is based on the Ethereum blockchain, then you will need an ERC wallet of your choice, and if the project is based on another blockchain, you will be informed as well which wallet to use.
Lastly, in the case of windows wallet being used for a campaign and you failed to exchange it when listed is a different thing. If you used a Windows wallet for a particular campaign, then it could be a new project building their blockchain also if you fail afterwards to sell could still mean that the project might not have succeeded.
actually the campaign that I participated in was in one of the markets, and now maybe the contract has changed ..
and my disappointment with the team at the campaign did not provide a detailed explanation of how to access the windows wallet that I had pasted on my PC ..

I am using the MetaMask crypto wallet. It's the most comfortable one I've used. MetaMask has a clear interface, such a wallet can be installed in the browser and it will always be in sight. I had no complaints about MetaMask, it meets all my requirements for quality and safety.

There have some highly secure and protected wallets for real trade on behalf of transacting with other exchangers. First of all you have to be careful with this concept which with them are you dealing. Some fishing wallet are always staying in apps store. So, I prefer you for a strong and highly secure wallet which can be able to protect your wealth.

Windows wallet or not what matters is if the wallet will give you access to your private key or recovery seed, without those keys don't even think about it because someone else is keeping your keys for you doesn't guarantee you will get your coins
