If you want to expect for XRP to go back to the top spot, it's okay to hope for that. Well, those coins next to Ethereum are in tough competition.
It doesn't matter to me if it goes back or not but as long as you keep your coins with any of those and it's gaining traction. That's the important part of being an investor and a holder.

Glad to see that happen. I have been thinking if another smartcontract platform like chainlink will be also surpassing XRP. XRP will come to its end. I don't even think ripple can't be considered as a dark horse anymore.
People are still betting on the decision that will be taking by the court and this is the true story. When XRP gets a good news from the court and it may make XRP to go to the moon as soon as possible but remember this if SEC will not make it easy to happen.
That's pretty interesting to see how the next drama will be going on between ripple and SEC on the court.

soon we'll see Cardano hit $1. it's a good upgrade for ADA, their increments are slow, but very smooth. and maybe they will shift Polakdot and go up to rank 4. and for ripple maybe XRP will be replaced by other coins. BNB and Litecoin seem to have started a movement. if this situation persists maybe ripple will shift to rank 8 or 9.

Isn't it nice to see news coins in the top 5 ranking? It's refreshing to look at and is obviously deserving for that position. This actually ain't surprising anymore because we've also seen a significant increase in DeFi usage, as total value locked (TVL) grew from less than $1 billion in early 2020 to the current value of almost $34 billion.

Expect positive news with Ripple when their case is finished and they got the win but aside from that, it will be a pump and dump coin for the traders.

ADA on the other hand is already doing everything right now and with the Goguen Mainnet coming this March, it might be the catalyst for the price of ADA to go as high as $1 in the next months . Good for those ADA holders since they can get capital appreciation as well as the profits that they can get thru staking.

Cardano has moved up by almost 2,500% during the last 12 months. I don't think that any of the coins in the top-20 list has given that sort of returns. I always had a feeling that ADA was underpriced. When the altcoin bubble burst in 2018, Cardano exchange rates went down by 99% (perhaps the most for any of the established altcoins). I wanted to purchase ADA at that point, but storage was difficult. Back then they didn't had a lite wallet, and anyone who want to store ADA had to use the Daedalus wallet, which would take a huge amount of hard drive space.

Despite the price fluctuations, the basics are really strong for Cardano. The code is written using Haskell language and the algorithm is very advanced when compared to the other cryptocurrencies. Among the third-generation cryptocurrencies, Cardano is having the best technology without any doubt. Right now it is at 4th position according to Coinmarketcap, and I have to say that in the long term it poses a strong challenge to ETH.

It all depends on the update of the case, there is a possibility that Ripple will be out of the top 15 coins in the market, and go down to 10 cents, so far it's performing great in the market, but for how long one bad news and Ripple will stumble, they have shown resiliency, you can gamble on Ripple, and if they succeeded in their case, they will reach a new high and break their old-time records.

I knew it was just a matter of time before we see XRP slacking behind, the law suit against them and everything has caused them to start falling, and a lot of investors are now moving their money to different coins.

I do not know for how long they are going to continue with this problem they are having, and the last time I read they said they are not going to follow the easy way by settling the SEC, rather they will prefer that they battle it out in court and it is taking a long time, the more it continues the more they are being affected by it just like it’s affecting them now. But if XRP can win this big battle, one thing for sure is that it will blow up, cause it’s going to be a big news.

Sure. Now, number 4-6 will be very competitive, especially if XRP can come back stronger again in the near future. As the high demands of Cardano and Polkadot on the market, while XRP is dropping, so the position of XRP is downgraded. I think it is not a problem, competitiveness is a good sign that demands on crypto coins spread well.

Why not? You must know if anything can happen in the crypto industry.

They are betting on it, or shall we say playing games investing on XRP because we don't know how long and what are the results of the lawsuit. That's why we have seen the price going on a wild ride.

It's been in the market for at least 3 years so I wouldn't call it a dark horse, been consistent in the top 5-10 coins. The problem is that they are facing a big case against the US SEC. And we can't take any from DOT and ADA, very promising projects and the people behind has some reputation as well. They have made it to the top because of their hard work not because XRP falling down.
