Shouldn't it be much more effective and quicker if the testing was rolled out to members by migrating Bitcointalk to the new forum software?
Talking for myself, I am not technically gifted, but I could help identify a few glitches if I noticed any and right now all I see are few members who have some technical knowledge testing the software, making the whole process much slower. I believe there are hundreds of members in my position who could help if they changed the approach to testing the new forum software.
I mean, it's 2021, Bitcoin is almost worth $50K, and still the million dollar forum software isn't even close to ready?
Are you saying we should all start using untested incomplete forum software? I would vehemently disagree
If you're talking about a test site - there is at least one here:
https://coinbistro.com/And there are some members testing it and doing a great job at it but that's still not quite the coordinated managed QA effort that you should expect from a multi-million dollar project. There should be clearly defined goals, test plans, preferably professional testers with proper tools (randomly poking at a site can get you only so far), and a dev team willing and able to fix it. Supervised by someone with the experience and the leverage to pull it off.
I feel like I posted something similar a couple of years ago and we are still no closer to the finish line but I'll wait a couple more years to say "told you so". Still hoping for a miracle I guess.
