Transaction invalid

Hi! I made 2 transactions through Bitcoin Core and mistakenly chose a very very low fee. That?s why my transactions are never-confirmed for months. When I tried to accelerate through third parties, they say my transaction ID does not exist. What can I do? It showed up on my receiving wallet but says pending.

The transaction volume is fairly big right now and your transaction might have been pushed out of the mempool of the nodes. Accelerating transaction would make it unnecessary expensive. Try to bumpfee through Bitcoin Core or use Abandontransaction and resend the funds.

As for the invalid transaction, I assume you're talking about blockchain.com. Thats a valid transaction and the error message is misleading.

Read the guide carefully and follow all the steps, its a bit complicated comparing other wallets but you are left with no other choices now.

If the outputs already have been spent, then there is no way for you to get this old transaction confirmed.
This also means, that you already have spent those UTXO, which should be visible in Core.

Check bitcoin core whether there is still an outgoing transaction waiting to get confirmed.

If the transactions were made months ago and have not yet been confirmed, then they will have been dropped from the mempool and you should be able to attempt to spend the coins again in a new transaction.

As above, although it still shows up locally, it has been dropped from the mempool.

Is this error on blockchain.com, by any chance? It has a habit of showing an error saying the inputs are invalid when they are not. It is a terrible block explorer and you would do well to use a different one. Have you attempted to spend the same inputs in another transaction? If not, then simply abandon the transaction and create a new one with a higher fee.

Bitcoin core can keep your transactions in the history even though they were replaced or invalid but will be marked with 'X' symbol.
Those 'X' wont affect your balance except if they are inbound, the amount wont be credited to your wallet.
If they are somehow still valid (just marked '?') and the receiver's address is correct, you can use "Increase transaction fee" by right-clicking the transaction.
But make sure that you're fine with the displayed new transaction fee.

There's also a chance that your first txn's change is the input of your second transaction, if that's the case, you wont be able to bump the parent's fee.
You'll have to do it manually using commands but that'll invalidate the child txn; or alternatively, abandon both transactions using the steps for Bitcoin Core in post #3's link then send another set with higher fee.

We can all speculate, but it's you who should know if there were made transaction afterwards that could have been spending those same inputs, or if the transaction parent is confirmed.

Also, if you got this message from one block explorer, try it on another ones (blockchair.com, chain.so, chainflyer.bitflyer.jp) maybe you get more meaningful info. Keep in mind that many block explorers may no longer have it in the mempool, because of its age and its fee

And yes, as already said, if the tx is not dropped then you can try to increase the fee at least to a level it can be confirmed in the week-end. IIrc last week-end the fees have dropped a few times shortly to about 5 sat/vbyte. The thing is that in "months" I am certain that the mempool also emptied, so I fail to understand why this tx was not confirmed, unless indeed some inputs were double spent.
