if you actually had "several years of activity" then you should already know that bitcoin has been rising in the same exact manner for years before Elon Musk even started talking about it. there is nothing new or surprising about bitcoin gaining value

the things that go up 100% are not "currencies" they are pump and dump altcoins. and they always come down the same amount after a while which is usually the next day.
if you go to penny stocks market you will see a lot of similarities between it and altcoin market.

I think you mean Elon Musk though. You have to understand for a fact that Elon Musk is not the only person who is actually involved with bitcoins and sees it's potential. There will be a lot of people coming along the way for sure and trust me, if Elon Musk decides to dump all his bitcoins then the price will be very low and then the whole market will get active and start buying like crazy!!

If you are referring to Elon musk , then this is not the first time am hearing this statement, your few year in crypto would be enough to tell you that one man no matter his position in the world economy has the power to affect the pump and dip of a currency , Elon musk was a former CEO of dogecoin and till today he still supports his work, they are certain things that affect the price of token in the market

 Burning of the token etc.

Don't be scare about the current market style dude, this has been the same way cryptocurrencies moved for ages and still moving. Bitcoin recent moved shows that lovers of this coin are now more in-love with the coin, but for other coins( majorly altcoins) in the market that moved 100% or more, are simply those coins that were pumped for cash out. I think it's more fit in the Altcoin section. Actually crypto isn't funny, we are funny. Because if someone from rich man posts something about bitcoin then we jump into Bitcoin. Same as when someone post about doge then we jump into it. As well all know crypto markets depend on the community, so when the community jumps into a coin then definitely it should be pumped. It's not only Elon Musk that is solely responsible for the recent appreciation crypto valu, particularly bitcoin and doge. Right even before Musk shilled for bitcoin, Jack Dorsey and co. are already hyping up bitcoin. It is only a few months ago that Elon started tweeting about bitcoin and doge, and while that may seem to be the reason for the tises, a lot of things happened in the background contributed by otber entities.

Expect that crypto market is wild. Why? Because of its volatility, many would come and go try to trade and scalp each and every movement. One day you wake up its moving sideways then the time you sleep it skyrockets. some are trusting some coins because some time ago fuds made them sell their holdings that could have made them millionaires. dogecoin wasn't really ignored all the time in fact most of the gambling sites in crypto added this coin for which we use every time as well. just like BTC its a good store of value but the only problem is the supply generated by miners.  this will be funnier if the price will really hit more than $1.

The technical development in Doge is slow but that does not mean that the code is not updated, they last updated in 2019 and they are following the BTCitcoin core code updates till now and most probably if they upgrade again they will follow the same path.

It is Elon Musk  . The price did not rally because of him breathing but his company reported to invest $1.5 billion and it is natural to see the market responding to it and much before that the market rallied 400% even before Musk tweeting .

So it is not a one man army creating all these hype, there are many investors investing heavily and you can take it as silly depending upon the amount of coins you are holding .

Though it became expensive in a sense, that doesn't stop many patronizers to hold this valuable asset. It kepts soaring higher and influenced many people, that's why it gained more popularity these days. The more it becomes more expensive, the more it provides bigger opportunities to all who've been a part of its journey.

Try not to be alarm about the current market style man, this has been a similar way digital forms of money moved for a long time and as yet moving. To be frank, I was disappointed at how the market played out. I thought by now we would had moved past the ara of twitter influencers influencing the market. The news of new companies buying bitcoin as reserve are quite understandable if they influence how the market react since those are signs of adoption and create wide range of media publicity since the news outlets will carry the news but that of a twitter users is just disappointing but there's nothing that can be done since emotions still has a big role to play in the crypto market.

Top figures are beginning to realized once again they can influence the market to make quick profit for themselves. You think Elon didn't buy doge coin before giving it all the hypes? Their motive are quite clear, they're trying to make a mockery of the industry. This pump would end badly as a dump will leave many in loss and probably drive them out of the industry.

My interpretation of what OP thinks is happening is that the market gets funny because big players like Elon Musk are joining the market which OP thinks is not the best thing to do because it leaves out small players like us which was the purpose of bitcoin in the first place. I do agree with the altcoin dilemma, the only way that this problem will be solved is when we do our own research on the altcoin that we are going to invest in.
