As you know, BTC (cryptocurrency in general) is illegal in our country, we have to face a lot of problems while trading/investing. But it was legal in our country, there would be no problem. Now, what initiative can bitcoin enthusiasts take to get attention of govt towards bitcoin.

It depends on you government to decide to make it legal or to at least regulate it but I don't really expect that the citizen can do much about it when the government decide not to. If it is taken to court, the constitution will be consider if cryptocurrency was made legal as means of your payment system. Except that your constitution will be amended and include it.

If the government would go through the hassle of drawing up strict regulations for Bitcoin, then it already has their attention. They understand what it is and choose to restrict its usage as the freedom it offers does not support their style of government. This is similar to the situation in Nigeria, the government recently put a ban on cryptocurrency trading even though it was becoming one of the largest markets for it.

Bitcoin enthusiasts should rather channel their efforts inot building peer to peer systems which can circumvent regulations.

Having some knowledgeable lobbying groups on the forefront of this discussion would certainly help. Some of the obscure ideas and laws passed by the government were made possible by lobbyists. Gather enough signatures or send a formal letter to the government and see whether they take up on it or not. Persistence is the key, but just make sure that you have knowledgeable people backing you up so that all discussions would turn out smoothly on your favor.

You know, Bitcoin is the world's first open-source digital currency. You don't have to go to a bank to trade in Bitcoin. in this case, the government is incapable to charge you anything for your trading. This is the main problem of the government.

Even after 11 successful years of Bitcoin, a few countries are still fighting against accepting Bitcoin in a normal way. You know, The United States, The United Kingdom, Japan, Germany are among the countries that have supported Bitcoin. But a few third class countries like India, Algeria, Egypt are the only countries that have a lot of allergies to Bitcoin.

if your government will not see you as a criminal for using BTC to help people in need in your neighborhood by starting a help a foundation or feeding program for the orphans. something like this is done in our local community, he seems to be receiving help from the user in the forum actually. if you could also do that and coordinate with the local government, i guess you show your country how BTC could help. who knows maybe later your government will see good sides of BTC.

Paying tax, of course.

The government will surely allow or legalize it and put regulation on the users, the reason why the government always facing the problem on cryptocurrencies because they can't put tax, and also they can regulate people from paying tax. If all people in your country will voluntarily contribute their taxes, I guess cryptocurrencies will be recognized as an alternative mode of payment.

Are you suggesting that crypto enthusiasts are non task payers?
For all i care, everything cannot be tasked so, the government can as well live it at that. Again, it would be of note that, not all task are directly levied on citizens or task payers. Task is of two types, one of which is the indirect task which comes in the form of increased price of commodities and task levied directly on business and production enterprises which is in turn reflected on the price of commodities and services provided.
Now we all know, bitcoin is yet to be generally accepted by most merchants and as such, its fiat equivalent is needed for transacting and that could be tasked at that point. Its almost the same thing.

Government has got to look at it from the most good bitcoin can do rather than focus on the demerit. All systems have got a negative part to it.
