Stop blaming Electrum for transaction fees. You paid 20 sat/byte on your first transaction, which isn't enough.

Your second transaction is showing 261 sat/byte, but has to do CPFP (Child Pays For Parent) so it's still not that much.

For future transactions, you should read how to consolidate your small inputs when fees are low. You're wasting a lot of money on fees this way.

The concept of transaction fees depends on a number of factors such as tx weight and the state of the network. A large transaction would need a high fee and during times when the network is clogged, you'll also need a high fee to get your tx confirmed quickly.

It hasn't gotten any confirmation at all. 1 confirmation is typically safe enough for average transactions, but for much larger amounts it is advisable to wait for 3 or 6 confirmations.

Seems that you don't know how electrum works.
You haven't paid any money to electrum. You pay the fee to miners, so they include your transaction into a block.
Electrum gives you full control over the fee and you can pay as much as you want. Electrum has no control over confirmation of transactions. Confirmations are made by miners and they prioritize transactions based on the fee they get.

As stated by LoyceV, the second transaction has spent the unconfirmed output of the first transaction and cannot be confirmed as long as the first transaction is unconfirmed. So, both transactions will be confirmed in a same block.

The transaction can't be lost, so don't worry about that. It will either confirm or stay in the mempool for approximately two weeks. This period is sometimes shorter. After that, it will be dropped, and the original amount will be credited back to the address it was sent from.

Please, is this correct.

The first transaction contain 3 input and 2 output, the transaction do not support RBF, which means you use CPFP for the second transaction. Using CPFP will also require more transaction fee.

I will be using legacy because the fee is estimated on the blockchain explorer already in satoshi/byte. So, the OP will pay less on his electrum wallet using segwit.

For the first transaction
Input*180 + output*34 + 10 plus or minus input
(3*180) + (2*34) + 10 plus or minus input
540 + 68 + 10 +/- 3 = 621
The size = 621 bytes.

The present mempool fee that will make your transaction to be confirmed in the next block is 102 satoshi/byte.
Fee required for the transaction to be included in the next block is 102 * 621 = 63342 satoshi = 0.00063342

But, you use 20.125 sat/byte.

This is a very small amount for even 1 input/1 output not to talk of 3 inputs/2 outputs.

For the second transaction.
Remember your first transaction is not replace-by-enabled, which means you use child-pay-for-patent.
For CPFP, is is like you are paying for two transactions, the first transaction fee is for the parent transaction while the second for the new transaction into another address. So, almost two fee will be charged. But, assuming you already paid 20.125 sat/byte in the first transaction.

Fee require for the transaction to be included in the next block is 102 Satoshi/byte
For CPFP = fee that will need the first transaction to be included in the next block + the fee needed for the child transaction. While the child transaction have only 1 input/1 output.

Size for 1 output/1 input
(1*180) + (1*34) + 10 plus or minus input
 225 bytes
102 * 225 = 22950 satoshi = 0.00022950

So Fee for CPFP = 0.00063342 + 0.00022950 = 0.00086292.

The CPFP is for only one of the transaction, assuming you use CPFP for the second address too and assume it to be 0.00022950 btc also, or you plus it to the second transaction.

So Fee for CPFP that will make he transaction confirmed early = 0.00063342 + 0.00022950 + 0.00022950 = 0.00109242 btc or higher.

And your total fee still paid is 0.00019300 + 0.00088343 = 0.00107643 btc.

I will advice you to wait. The mempool is so congested for now, but the transaction will be confirmed later as the fee is almost close to the one that will get your transaction confirmed.

You are referring to the fee rate not fee.
When it comes to transactions priority, there is no difference between a transaction with 1 input & 1 output and a transaction with 3 inputs & 2 outputs if their fee rate is the same.

Robovak to the rescue!  It's far from the first time and certain to be far from the last.

By the way, Electrum is (arguably) the BEST bitcoin light-client wallet software around.  Once you're comfortable navigating the controls it can be among the most powerful wallets available, while remaining fairly easy to use.  I use it almost exclusively for my hot desktop wallet, hardware wallets, and watch only wallets.

I'd say there's no such thing as the "Best" wallet, the use case of each user varies and resulting in various optimal choices by the user. Electrum is obviously not trash but still far from the best. It has a terrible privacy issue but if you're willing to overlook that then yeah.

As others said your first transaction has RBF disabled, so you didn't actually use RBF there. You can enable it in the future by going to Tools > Preferences > Transactions and check "Use Replace-By-Fee" (1.)

You can also enable CPFP, which Charles-Tim mentioned, in the same settings dialog by unchecking "Spend only confirmed coins" (2.)Then when you want to perform a CPFP you make the Coins tab visible (View > Show Coins), locate as least one of the coins you have spent there (viewing the transaction details will show you which ones) and right click on it, and a few more coins, and select "Spend" then proceed to construct another transaction with the same receiving addresses.

I think you might be a bit confused about CPFP here.

You do not need to perform a CPFP for each address you have sent coins to in the first transaction. Either the whole transaction will confirm, or none of it will. If you speed up a single output from the first transaction by including it an a CPFP, then all the outputs from the first transaction will confirm.

Let's say I send coins from Address A, to Address B, C, and D. Address D happens to be my change address. If I then include the coins from Address D in a CPFP with a large fee, then when that second transaction confirms, the payments to Address B and Address C will also confirm at the same time.
