Using Binance in New York.

Hi , I want to buy some alt coins like BNB but i live in New York and binance is not available here , vpn options seems a bit risky. I understand that i cant deposit funds into Binance from New York. My question is would it allow me convert BTC into BNB that i can send from Coinbase to Binance ? Basically buy BTC on coinbase , send it to Binance and convert it into BNB.

If there any other alternatives or thoughts on this , please do tell:)

Binance.US is a special version of biannce that was created for the USA citizens, so you should have no troubble using it.
Also I recomend to avoid trying to cheat binance using VPN. CZ warned that they have many advanced techniques for filtering US users. VPN migh not be enough.

You can also try decentralized way. Wrap BTC on BSC or ETH and trade it on dexes.

^ Why not directly buy BTC on binance exchange? If you can access that exchange without using a VPN to access it, you are fine and you can buy BTC.
However, your idea is not bad but I think you will suffer probably high fees buying from coinbase and then sending it to binance.
Follow as they advise above and use binance.us, there is no need to bypass anything, if you cant access, don't take a risk, instead, use decentralized exchange that surely never required KYC.

as suggested by the seniors above, use Binance US, most importantly don't force to use VPN, you are right, it is very risky. so you now know how to access Binance. You don't need to exchange your bitcoins to BNB, because bitcoins are long-term, save your bitcoins, and buy BNB with other funds.

Or you can use binance.cc if you have trouble using the main domain I also thought at first it was like but now I don't use VPN anymore after knowing there is a sophisticated tool that can track it so now I can only access binance.cc compared to .com always unhindered IP that is area boundary.
I think what is suggested above is the good thing with Binance DEX you can do as much as possible US citizens can use it.

I don't think it can (or formally not allowed even though it can be accessed), this is related to local regulations. Judging from Binance us only lists certain cryptos that can be traded. This means that crypto that isn't in binance us may not meet us regulatory standards.

and all others members, before giving advice, it would be wise to inform yourself, because the fact that a company operates in the US does not mean that its service is available in all federal states. OP is from NY, and binance.us is not available in that state.

If you are living in US you may also try Binance US , I think that will be the same thing to what we are using, so you may convert your btc to bnb and transfer it as well, in case you are hesitating to do this thing and you are afraid that your fund might lose, just try a small amount only and do the process or try other exchanges that has bnb listing on it, there's a ton of exchange that you may choose from, chat binance us support too.

I think Binance have an exchange for United State people if wanna buy or trade on Binance, I think they use exchange with Binance US so every one from United State can use this exchange for investing or trading. Almost coin have listed there so don't worry look like with Binance global, just have any coin more on Binance global than Binance US.

best option, you can buy binance token with a DEX or just opening on forum a request for a trade (escrow is a must).

however, generally speaking, if you are not legally entitled to use their exchange it's better avoid any operation since it's very easy get caught (and loss access to the funds!)
