I think both are very good and has a different function, because :
1. Bitcoin was created to make it easier for people to make digital payment
2. Ethereum was created to make it easier for other project to create their own smart contract
therefore I think Bitcoin and Ethereum are very good project, because the function of Bitcoin and Ethereum are very useful in the future.

Both are great coins but they have different use in crypto space. In terms of which coin should we invest, since both has a great performance. Ethereum showed good progress since last year and bitcoin also made new ATH near reaching $50k now.

I have both of that coin but already sell off all of my ethereum last week. No regrets at all. But as to my bitcoin, Im still holding it until now. Cheers to those long term holders like me who manage to wait up to this moment.

My preference has always been ethereal for some reason. Bitcoin is not for me because it is in front of too many people and too famous. Ethereum is more risky and attractive to me. Of course, this is my choice.

There are no comparison to begin with, two different kind of coins, the only similarity is that they are both prime movers, specially Ethereum in the altcoin market. Price? nah, bitcoin is way ahead. But they are good as investments, specially Ethereum which is giving higher yields year-to-year.

So in any case, if you are for long term investment, both are good and I'm sure majority will agree on me. Both surpassed their previous all time high already as you have said, but we are expecting more before the end of the year.

Eth is always next to bitcoin and if you compair bitcoin to ether you are just like comparing a giant to dwarf if we are going to look on to bitcoin price that is quit big vs the ethereum price, even if the ethereum will having a huge pump bitcoin is still more amazing, if bitcoin rise ethereum will also rise next to it so i think every coin or token in cypto is always follow bitcoin if bitcoin will pump more coin will also pump so there is no doubt bitcoin is more amazing than eth.

^ Have you invested them all, if so, you won't need to compare them because they are both leading cryptocurrencies that have good potential on earning profit. We are in the bull market as of now, considering that all altcoins have been also doing great and they pumped up together with BTC and now we are in a healthy market and most likely all investors was gained profit. Nevertheless, even though both coins have very high fees but they are still very useful crypto.

There is no Etherium vs Bitcoin happening. Both are performing well but I think all altcoins including Etherium just carried on the momentum because of the bullrun created by Bitcoin.

I doubt Etherium will pass the $1,000 or $2,000 mark if Bitcoin didn't went a crazy pump. Even in altcoin season, Etherium can't create a bull run on its own.

Having these 2 is necessary on our crypto investment and trades. Have it always on our portfolio.

I do not think that there is such thing as Bitcoin verses Ethereum as they are both in use and both will always exist, so there is not such thing as one will kill the other.

I do not want to compare ethereum and bitcoin or ethereum against bitcoin because both coins are different. Bitcoin and ethereum are as an investment, and we do not have to compare both as bitcoin and ethereum can work as a way for us to make money. Both coins, bitcoin and ethereum, is the best coin right now for me, and I am sure that both coins can make the new ATH soon. Bitcoin and ethereum will not stop lifting the price and will try to increase, so you can wait for that while you can buy back bitcoin and ethereum before it starts a rally.

I'm confused as well with the title of the thread.

Ethereum and Bitcoin is very different in terms of its used. Of course both can be treated as an investment but Ethereum - it's a decentralized applications. What we do love about this two though is that it becomes the top cryptocurrency in the market and no amount of competition that topple them in their position.

But there was a time in 2017 that people that there could be a "The Flippening", meaning Ethereum taking over Bitcoin but it didn't happen.

BTC is all-time favourite cryptocurrency so if we compare with any coin it will always rule the crypto market. Normally all the peoples are know about the exact market situation.

Well, you are both very right and also very wrong. Ethereum did created a bull run all by itself when the eth 2.0 phase 0 was notified, everyone heard about it and there was I think over 500k+ ethereum invested into that, which was awesome and I still think it is the cause of that jump during that period.

As soon as that was heard the price of ethereum and everything else was super high, and that is why I think ethereum could create a bull run all by itself. That is the part you are wrong, but the part you are right is that it happened only once and for a short while, whereas bitcoin can do that at any time, bitcoin does it all the time, price of things go up al to just because bitcoin went up, so yes bitcoin is the main reason for any increase, nothing else could be like bitcoin. So, you are 99% right about it, there was just this one instance where ethereum managed it by itself. But, maybe in the future eth 2.0 phase 2 may cause it too? I don't know.
