I saw that Jay-Z and Dorsey are buying Bitcoin, a lot of it, and using it in Africa? I'm not sure what this video is saying. Why are they buying so much?

The information at this point is limited. But, apparently, that's a development fund intended not just for Africa but for India as well. That Bitcoin endowment will probably be granted to certain developers or teams of developers from the mentioned places whose innovation, proposals, or project design are worthy of a slice of that Bitcoin trust. The goal, of course, is to promote Bitcoin's adoption in those areas.

Moreover, the said fund is not under the control of either or both men. Accordingly, there will be three board members who will oversee the trust.

If I remember correctly, Dorsey took time off Twitter a year or two ago to spend time in Africa and help the local startups. I guess this is the second round.

That means that Jack Dorsey can be jailed, if he travels to India. The African governments are not that retarded, but recently the Nigerian government issued a banking ban on Bitcoin and now bank accounts can't be used to trade in cryptocurrency.

I just saw this news today and I think both of these famous men must be creating something like a project that can benefit people of Africa and India. Since they got the money to buy whatever they want, establishing something like a humanitarian or maybe a developmental fund can go a long way in humanity's fight against many challenges since time began. I am sure this is adding more to the burning spirit of the current bull run of Bitcoin since this is the coin of choice.

Jack Dorsey has been vocal about his support for Bitcoin for a long time. Long before the recent news made rounds.

Jigga on the other hand surprised me. Never in a million years I would have though he would be invested in Bitcoin. Good for him though. One would be a fool to not have at the very least a small investment in Bitcoin at that net worth.

It is also worth noting that this help is a big benefit for them because they are going to be using this for their tax write offs. And I think that it is a good initiative that people of their status are using their power to influence good things to happen to the people and to the cryptocurrency community as a whole. Never heard of this story about Dorsey going to support start ups, I guess investing in people is a good thing for business and since you are on the top, you have to do everything you need to stay there.

The intention from the government is clear. Three days ago (on 11th February), the finance minister (Nirmala Sitaraman) made it clear that the government won't allow any cryptocurrency that is not controlled by the central bank to be used within the country. So rather than regulation, they are aiming for full prohibition. Under these circumstances, I don't know how the government will react if Jack Dorsey announces that he want to promote Bitcoin development in India.

And as far as I can remember he traveled personally to Africa and talk to crypto enthusiast there. So it's not a question on why Dorsey is doing it, he believes and crypto thus spreading the word.

Jay-Z though, I'm someone in-between his intentions, anyhow, Africa and India are two huge places to begin with to help spread the adoption. India though might be a difficult task as the government is heavy against crypto.

They are entrepreneurs, they probably have big plans or projects for the particular countries that they are sponsoring. Its not ordinary people anymore that are involved in Bitcoin adoption, more celebrities and billionaires are going to shill and talk about this asset in the future.

The issue with twitter and Jack Dorsey with the Indian government is that the government wanted to use them as their propaganda tool and to ban any user who questions the government and Twitter informed the government that they cannot use them as a propaganda tool and ban users and it will be  used as a free speech media and do you know the RSS and BJP started their own version of twitter  .

It is silly to even talk about them and how they overcome the opposition and it is literally like a dictatorship as there are evidence that came out a few days ago that they literally plant evidence in your computer to sent you to jail for a long time if you raise your voice against them.

Support for Bitcoin adoption maybe, just that the path of what and how to do that isn't really set. It's just like they're throwing money at the board panel and just say, "Here's money, go and spread the word about Bitcoin". It kinda feels like false propaganda, since the way I phrased it does sound like how those things work, but well it wouldn't be one if they properly disseminated news that is factual and the truth. There's also the reason of they're rich, so maybe I guess they just said, why not?

From what I read in media is that they want to make bitcoin as an Internet currency. It's a very large investment It's about 500bitcoins so the worth is close to 25million usd.

The funds made available by Jay-z and Jack Dorsey are dedicated to fund crypto projects in Africa. For people who don't know, Africa is one of the fastest growing technology continent at the moment. They have cited this and are trying to take advantage of it. Jack Dorsey has always been a fan of crypto, especially in Africa. Back in 2020, he tweeted that Nigerians can send funds using bitcoin during the end Sars protest that happened a while back.

Everyone has their own way of providing assistance, what Jay-Z and Dorsey do is a very good thing in my opinion. They both seem to want to educate
the people of Africa and India to become aware of Bitcoin. After all, Jay-Z and Dorsey are famous people and have a lot of money, it's up to them to
do whatever they want as long as the cause is good. I think the two of them also want to show everyone in the world, that Bitcoin is now very valuable
and expect many rich people to do what they both did.
