I just sent some ethereum to a ronin network (sidechain) address.
Are ethereum and ronin addresses the same?
If not, is my ether lost?

it's likely you are not losing your ethereum. As far as i know if ronin being created use EVM and when you are sending ethereum to the ronin and it will be converted into the wrapped ethereum.
Could you check your WETH balance dude?

Ronin WETH balance = 0
The transaction was successful from the withdrawal side (metamask) and it shows on the etherscan but does not show up in my ronin.

The Ronin sidechain is for the game Axie Infinity.  It reduces the gas costs.
