You mean you had the key? If only password of the email then could means its not sure if you can get it. Provided it has email means you used some centralized wallet to store your bitcoin.

But if you used non cusotidial wallet then you can access it on some supported wallets. Can I know what wallet have you used to store your bitcoin?

I'm going to be quite frank but you know that it could be one of the famous exchanges as well? Do you think it's just a custodial wallet that you used or some famous exchange that you funded but forgot? Some famous web wallets could be on your mobile app as well. Maybe this could jog your memory.

Search your email as well, there might be verification that could lead you right to it.

It was "email:pass" type of login so I doubt it was non cusotidial wallet. It was an exchange or third party wallet.

@OP when was that? You get what i mean? If it was in 2014 than suggesting you a wallet that was created in 2017 is pointless.

List of wallets. But you can google search it by yourown. Type "top 10 crypto wallets of 20xx"

Which year was it exactly? If the "web wallet" (which I believe to be an exchange) had an option to buy/sell bitcoins and not only store it, try to look into the following sites:

- CEX.io
- Bitstamp
- Gemini
- Bitfinex
- Coinmama
- BitPanda
- Kraken

These are the most reputable and known fiat exchanges out there.

If you signed up last year then It should be easy to trace. Go to the email address' messages and look through messages you received last year especially verification messages they send you after you have signed up for a service. Most, if not all web wallets or exchanges send a verification link that you must click on to verify your email as you are signing up. That should be a good start. I hope you didn't delete the messages during that time.

Try searching on your email (gmail, prontonmail, whatever it is) the keywords "bitcoin, wallet, exchange, crypto, cryptocurrency, coin". I know it will be sorted on your email, only if you didn't delete those emails yet.

Do you remember what year you've made that wallet. Aside from the suggestions about checking your email, it could also help to know what year it was because it can be a known wallet/exchange that's very popular by that year.

Don't lose that "email:pass" that you have OP. Please keep it until you find out and remember what wallet was that.

For sure this is a custodial wallet since it do talk about email and password and this would really be a long list if we do tend to mention all of those centralized platforms out there.

Its just really impossible to believe on that only a year passed he hadnt able to label it on where he did create this wallet. Its really hard to guess since email and password
could be inputted out in lots of platforms out there.

Every email address associated with any custodial wallets or centralized exchanges that required to have verification upon signing up can be traced on the message inbox, either also in the spam box.  OP can also check on his other email addresses as well it should be there something a verification message or notification as you registered on that wallet or exchange that you've used.

In my presumable perspective, if that is a web wallet, it might a Blockchain.com web wallet which is very common.  I'm afraid if OP used unpopular wallets which is most likely abandoned.  I think it might be good if OP give an update in here.

If it is not coinbase then it should be blockchain.com wallet in my opinion because this is another wallet we need email and password to sign up but to login you need the wallet ID which is not the case with coinbase. So as suggested by others go to your inbox and search for the emails which you may receive at the time of signing up where the wallet ID also will be there, use it, and log in to your wallet.

I guess it's easy if you still have access to the email you were using at the time, you just have to check somehow because if you can't find it with the search word then you have to check more manually.
I don't know what the main problem is, whether your old computer is lost so you lose your notes and backups or something, but if at that time you have a login in your browser then it can still sync and you can still check it in bookmarks. I personally have never missed anything important like this but recently I cleaned everything up and in fact, there are some exchanges and wallets that have died or that have changed in appearance. So, it looks like you won't be able to find it if you search through the front page to retrieve your memories, I'm afraid it's the same case mine.
