I'm sure it was just being manipulated to get people more confidence in the assets going in and out of the blockchain, so in essence the BTC giveaway is now 100% fake. Previously, they copied the name Telsa for their stunt and this is a catch of $crypto$ But fortunately the site is no longer accessible.

Scammers could be sending money to themselves in order to encourage others to do so. So, you can never know how many coins they have truly received - always remember that Bitcoin is pseudonymous and anyone could be behind the sending address, even the same person as the receiver.

They can alter this things with scams in millons of ways, one is that they can be the one sending the Bitcoin to their scam wallet from many other wallet, this can make -Newbies- join in the fake-giveaway but I think this scam way should have been over used by now, and by now it obvious that their are more scams on social media.

WTF, I could be a millionaire if I were to host those domains. Seems like a smart way to earn quick money now Those two that gave 5 and 4 BTC respectively would probably jump off the roof after realizing they fell for a scam, yikes.

I had thought of it too, but I highly doubt if there's a person that watches addresses' balances through a block explorer and attempts to send money to another elon-scam site. These lost coins are most likely sent from an online-wallet by people that have no idea what they're doing. Total Received 10.66406520 BTC Total Sent 10.36472773 BTC I have to admit that these numbers are pretty enticing, but if you analyze it, there is no transaction that returns a double amount. The scammers just keep the UTXOs and then, once they've collected a lot, they spend them to their address. Here's a transaction that does that: d89266678e2ab6f1e051be7c65b1481349b620143b699abdc98fcc9903837a23

Scammers can do anything because they also have a lot of assets and come from previous scams they have committed. currently the hype is Tesla and they (scammers) are taking advantage of this situation to trick people into getting into their traps and getting their money. Stay alert and don't believe this kind of giveaway.

Oops, almost forgot those could also be from their own kind. Thanks for the concern though, I have never participated in those things since 2017. Give away to receive from a giveaway, sheesh

What would they expect what scammers do. This transactions might be from their own (scammers) sending to their own address as what said above to look it more true. I guess its time to report the site to take it down.

But fortunately there were no victims so it's just those who do too ridiculous. I guess its time to report the site to take it down.
I support that all scamers sites must be reported.

It's very difficult to control our greed when we see a greedy offer. Scammer already received a huge amount of bitcoin, that means there is a lot of greedy peoples those fall into this trap. It's not surprising to me, because many newbies entering Bitcoin nowadays and they aren't aware of such scams. The warning about such as scam would find only a few websites or forums like Bitcointalk. Most probably newbies would learn nothing is free on the world and how they become a fool.
Anyway, increasing awareness somehow helping propels. Because this thread is reflected on Google as well. So, in case someone search on Google before sending bitcoin then they would discover this thread and save their money. The problem is scammers continuously scanning their domain names.

I saw this domain, It is spammed all over Twitter but I just ignored it every time. I really didn't expect that someone will fall for this really. Those amounts that are collected by the scammer were serious and I can imagine the faces of the people who sent in that address. This shows the number of people who are too greedy and just hoping for easy money.

Lol! I wonder how people can be so stupid! Even though I didn't see this spam in Twitter (even after being very active in bitcoin related tweets), but still I wonder how people are falling pray for such scams! 10.66 BTC is a huge amount. I can live the rest of my life with this amount of money. It's true that stupidity has no limit indeed.

I couldn’t imagine how scammers could end up things like this! That’s just full proof trap for new comers or new investors in the crypto industry. Just look at the number of bitcoin that has been invested in the same. It’s more than 300 hundred thousand USD in value. Is it just simulation of the transaction or they have just shown other addresses as their own project address? Because people falling for such high level stupidity is insane tbh. I’m laughing literally, how could anyone end up involving with such scam man.

You can check out @DroomieChikito thread here and see how many scammers are using Elon Musk face to promote fake BTC giveaway. In this case, I would lean towards what @hatshepsut93 said, they will initially "deposit" huge amount of BTC to that address to look more legit and attract noobs in crypto sphere to deposit there hard earn money.

Yup, it was just a lure in for those noobs to believe that this might really be a real giveaway since of those inputs and outputs on said address. Only noobs would really fall for this one and to those who doesnt have common sense and thinking off about easy money. Sooner or later they would realized that they had been scammed and keep whining and crying that crypto is shit.

Domains like the ones listed above should be blacklisted by all the social media platforms. Unfortunately Twitter,Facebook and Youtube aren't reacting fast enough to prevent those scams and to save the money of all the innocent victims. How can people be so naive? If something seems too good to be true,it most likely is... Ellon Musk might be the wealthiest person in the world,be he would never give away Bitcoins for free. What's the point for somebody to give you 1BTC,after you send him 0.5BTC?That doesn't make any sense.
