You have done well by choosing Litecoin and Ethereum to accompany your Bitcoin.
You could increase you BTC at the cost of LTC.

70% BTC
30% LTC
30% ETH

This is not critical because you can still trade one into the other when the prices are
favourable to increase your BTC amount.

Nobody will give you accurate information about how your portfolio allocation should look like, you will be the one to learn and know what you want. Learn about the cryptocurrencies, know the ones that are less volatile and the ones that are more volatile. I will advice you to let bitcoin to be 50% or more while altcoins should be other 50% or less. I do not know much about the altcoins, learn this yourself, be careful and invest at the right time after making proper analyses.

You should not ask whether the allocation is "ok", but whether the allocation is ok for you. If one does not know your financial situation and risk tolerance, their advice cannot be anything else but subjective opinions. Moreover it is unlikely that any of us here are certified financial advisors.

In my opinion Bitcoin is less risky than the other assets out there, just because it has stood the test of time so well and it is now looking to become a reserve asset for companies' balance sheets.

"By the book" you should have at least 50% BTC. You have that. Good.
The riskier the rest of the portfolio is, the more % should be BTC, but LTC and ETH should not be that risky.
Although it's not how my portfolio would (actually does) look like, but as long as you did your homework on which coin has what potential to rise (or not fall), you should be "fine".
(Just a reminder, don't invest more than you afford to lose, else you'll be very stressed when the market will have bad times and you may do stupid moves.)

I think the amount of btc should be kept at 50 percent for the risk to be minimal.  No matter what altcoin you invest in, be in 50 percent of your bitcoin portfolio

You can set aside 5% for small caps. 80% of altcoins are likely to pump at least 2X on this bullrun so that's something you can consider. The risk is higher but your portfolio will not be affected too much if the gamble loses.

...You could increase you BTC at the cost of LTC.

70% BTC
30% LTC
30% ETH
This is 130%

Opinion about portfolio varies for each person depends on many factor and their own recipe but as I've seen IMO your portfolio sounds OK. I'd always put big portion of my investment to BTC since it has highest market cap (about ~60%) and ETH (~25%)the rest spread to coins with less market cap, high risk but could give high profit but diversify it properly to reduce the risk of loss in one go. Honestly, your portfolio is fine without any modification but thats just my opinion

Being new to cypto i'm not sure how my coin allocation should look. My current portfolio allocation is 50% BTC, 35% LTC, 15% ETH does this sound ok?

This division of portfolio is also good but this means that you only have these three coins in your port folio. Also you are allocating LTC 35% of the portfolio which is too much for a coin like litecoin.
It will be better if you increase the percentage of eth in your portfolio and consider adding few more altcoins along with ltc.

If I were you, I would start slowly increasing the BTC % of your portfolio soon. Alt season has begun but you never know when it ends, and it's usually Bitcoin who follows after it since money from alts will start flowing back into BTC.

Moreover, compared to alts, even when BTC gets dumped it usually doesn't go even near the previous high. As soon as you purchase before the bull run, you'll be on profit even if you miss the ATH.

You shouldn't even own any altcoins specially since you are so new that you have to ask others what percentages to allocate the shitcoins in your list. You should only stick to bitcoin and if you are so eager to create a "portfolio" then do it correctly by diversifying into real assets instead of shitcoins. You can include things such as stocks and precious metals in your portfolio.

I agree with you here. At the end of the day, you are the only one that knows what's best for you. But his choice is not bad. At least, he is diversifying his portfolio into solid cryptocurrencies. And yes, he can receive a lot of pieces of advice here but in the end, he will be the one to assess it if it is appropriate to his financial situation.

Maybe aim for about 5% spread across some DeFi tokens which are taking off big time now.

Do not allocate portfolios consistently.  Sometimes it is necessary to change to catch other strange winds or to better catch fomo.  What you have done perfectly well in this trend, however in the near future LTC and ETH could be reversed.  That is the optimism that I evaluate for the coming.

if my suggestion is you better change 15% to LTC and 35% to Ethereum, because in my opinion the price of Ethereum is more likely to increase very high than the price of LTC, therefore I think investing in Ethereum is definitely more profitable for you or my advice is that you better change your LTC to Polkadot, because the price of Polkadot can increase higher than the price of LTC, so my recommendation for your portfolio is :
1. BTC - 40%
2. ETH - 30%
3. DOT - 30%

good job, you don't have to worry about how your portfolio looks like. because that's a pretty good start. I am sure that you will benefit enormously. My advice is to stay consistent and don't get exposed to FUD easily. Enough of your emotional educator to be as controlled as possible.

The current situation is little different to arrange the allocation, Because we are run in day trading segment and I always actively monitor the every pump and dump of my portfolio.
1. Bitcoin 20%
2. Ethereum 20%
3. Dogecoin 20%
4. Binance 20%
5. Token 20%
I always split to invest in many platform so I can invest 80% of coins and 20% of tokens.

Such allocation is adequate if you want a more stable portfolio but with limited gains.

What I would do is:

40% BTC
10% ETH
15% Synthetix
15% ATOM
15% Solana
  5% Binance Coin
