Why do ordinary people feel afraid of Bitcoin?

People fear what they cannot understand, and it is the case with bitcoin. They don't know how it works, how it has value, how to obtain one or a combination of each of these aforementioned reasons, and since they do not know, they are staying away from it. But with proper information and encouragement, these people should be swayed to invest.

People would really be having that kind of reaction into something that they dont really know but to think up that it isnt really that hard at all.Its just a matter of acceptance and
interest but well we cant really please everybody.

Sooner or later, people will really know bitcoins existence and knowing even with the basics depending for those who are curios because those are the ones will really be having the edge
when it comes to the opportunity given on dealing with crypto or with bitcoin itself.

Its normal to be afraid but doesnt mean that you would limit out yourself on learning everything.

Common man fear when he doesn't find himself secure. Another thing is the affordability. He knows the market will rise, but he doesn't have the affordability. I mentioned the word security based on the market fluctuation, it is at the high point to risk. If one tends to invest his daily requirement into bitcoin for an immediate return, and if he wasn't able to make a revenue out of it then it is a security problem for a common man. In reality, bitcoin is getting transition as big players toy.

Cryptos also can be used in various ways that can alter the dynamic of current industries.

From my experience introducing Bitcoin to others, I found the reason most people are afraid of Bitcoin is usually they get misleading information.
In my environment consider Bitcoin scams, because they lack education related to Bitcoin. So from that we really have to educate other people
a lot so that they get the correct information about Bitcoin. Even though in my country Bitcoin is legal, but the government still doesn't support it.
In fact, many government statements have cornered Bitcoin.

People afraid of bitcoin, simply because they don't have knowledge about it and they don't have capital to invest on it. Also, some of them don't want to use it because they afraid that they could lose their money on it. Some ordinary people is not open minded in terms of new technology and digital currency.

Maybe there's also some remnant of their government propaganda that says "btc muh bad" therefore people still has that negative thinking planted in their mind about cryptocurrency, now that bitcoin has been recognized world wide I think their perception regarding bitcoin gonna change overtime and be more better because cryptocurrencies exist to make things easier for them and not as bad as they think it was.

From my experience I think the main reason why bitcoin people are afraid of bitcoin is due to lack of proper understanding bitcoin is not just like way lots of people think it is, lot's of people think when you talk about bitcoin you are trying to scam them because they don't have proper knowledge about bitcoin, since they are having just little they don't want to lose the little they have because they believe bitcoin is all about scamming each other. we have to understand things like this and all if there is no guidance from those who are familiar with bitcoin or are lazy to find the correct information which is a lot on google. they are certainly don't want to be in touch and want to know more about bitcoin. but gradually people will also be aware of the knowledge spread in the media about what the benefits of bitcoin are so far not known.

Look at the time you wasted for listening to other people who told you about bitcoin being dangerous you should have thousands of money right now if you bought long time ago and enjoy financial freedom like the early birds of bitcoin, bitcoin should not be afraid of because no one controls it means no one can manipulate it only btc price can be manipulated but not the network, in the future looks like US dollar will be more dangerous and risky to hold than bitcoin.

That is why I address the issue of misinformation and lack of information, if the people were taught about bitcoin in an unbiased perspective and there are a lot of websites that has a lot of information about bitcoin, I think that we can slowly resolve the problem and in turn destroy the fear and stigma that is labeled to bitcoin. But the problem will not be solved solely just because we got all the information we need, if the people are continuously being ignorant about things and has the critical thinking skill of dead sewer rat then everything that was done was for nothing.

Someone told me not long ago: Bitcoin is a dangerous game. It is even possible for some people or groups to take over the blockchain through a majority and destroy the entire mechanism. People don't know they are playing these games.

From this sentence, you could already say why they are scared of it and its because they are treating it like a game. Bitcoin is not a game but it can be used to play games and you can win it at games but Bitcoin is a Cryptocurrency which is digital money. They should not brand something they do not know about because it could be a hindrance to other people who have an open mind into learning new things. This "Ordinary" people are scared because they have no knowledge about it and studying it or teaching them what Bitcoin and Cryptocurrencies are can be helpful to them and might even change their mind.

Thats true, majority of people in my country are just holding their money in banks and are not investing it anywhere. The fear of locking your money and not beein able to access it immediately is too high even thou they dont touch that money for years.
Crypto has actually quite high liquidity but people are not willing to educate themself.

Maybe it is because those normal people doesn't have any chance to invest in bitcoin? Meaning they don't have the budget to buy and the thing is that they are afraid to lose because if they lose they can't buy back again, that's what I think the main reason why normal people are having doubt or scared on bitcoin meaning they don't have room to lose when they enter bitcoin. Another thing is that the lack of knowledge that they have because knowledge is power and this power will give you the things that you want, what I am trying to say is that they doesn't have enough knowledge on what bitcoin is.

To invest in bitcoin, the budget we need is never too big, so if we say someone doesn't have enough money to invest, it is unbelievable but you are still right that they have no faith in bitcoin because before the bitcoin market, we can refer to the binary and stock trading platforms, it has created great fear for many people when they overinvest and only received huge losses. But over time, people's views on bitcoin are changing a lot as the assets of old holders are soaring, provoking the curiosity of those around them, perhaps the fear will subside in the near future

Some categories of people in my country will take you for a thieve, a smuggler, or a scammer if you ever tell them you are into bitcoin and the reason is not far fetched their mentality and knowledge of the so-called Bitcoin and ear say they have not actually sat down to read about it but carries what they heard from someone who heard from another somebody wrong information.

In my opinion Ordinary people afraid of the high volatility of bitcoin even I also afraid sometimes due to the high volatility. Ordinary people buy gold just because of very little volatility and the chances of gaining it year by year are more, on the other hand, we have seen the last 3 years' performance of Btc how bitcoin drops to 3200$ so this is the main concern of ordinary people. I would say less volatility like in gold attracts more investors to the bitcoin.
