Actually, for most people who afraid of Bitcoin, they won't even try to test cryptocurrency like me. But, when I first made money from cryptocurrency, I fell in love with them and spent a lot of time studying them. No one could reject cryptocurrency as long as people are willing to try.

We are all ordinary people here the only difference between us bitcoin enthusiast and those who are not is that we take the risk. Because we knew there is something much deeper when we first heard the word bitcoin. And maybe some of your friends are afraid due to extreme volatility of crypto market, unlike stocks, investing is much riskier. But high risk high reward game is much more fun to play. But be sure to play with caution, backed by knowledge.
Yeah, the volatility is what they're scared of. They're not willing to take the risk of it and even they start knowing it but when they're afraid of volatility, they'll decline. Well, that is the fact that most people are afraid to invest, but the difference between us and them is totally different. We are fully oriented regarding volatility and how bitcoin will work, that is why we don't afraid even though that is the nature of bitcoin. In short, --we can manage the possible risk in cryptocurrency, unlike them always afraid of anything not only the volatility, perhaps there are too many what if, what if that hack, what if I lost my bitcoin, what if bitcoin did not accepted in my country and etc. Those are big questions on their mind, where about us, we already aware and know how it technically works. There's already the difference because we're here and invested while discussing those people that are not willing to take the risk. It's a matter that others don't really think is worth taking. We can tolerate the risk that investing in bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies while they just want to stay wherever they are or likes the other types of investments.

Based on my experience talking to several people in my neighborhood, why are they not interested in buying Bitcoin. Most of them are misinformed, so they are afraid that their money will be used for something negative. Many people get information from the government, which usually always says negative things about Bitcoin, because most governments consider Bitcoin a threat to banks. Even though my country legalized Bitcoin as a digital asset, still the statements from the government regarding Bitcoin are always negative. So it's no wonder that many people are afraid of investing in Bitcoin, I sometimes need quite a long time to explain the correct information related to Bitcoin to people around me.

it happened because they didn't want to try to buy Bitcoin... the first time I was afraid to buy Bitcoin for fear of loss and doubt overtook me, but over time I learned that Bitcoin is a trusted asset that could not harm me. many people have never been educated about what Bitcoin is, I think education is the most important thing.
Don't be so critical. Most of the people that doesn't want to invest in BTC doesn't feel afraid of it, they either don't have enough money for that or don't want to know nothing about Bitcoin at all because they strictly believe in fiat money. Despite the fact that Bitcoin by itself can't harm you there are a lot of hackers and scam that can harm you so it's better always to be alert.

In my opinion, some of the biggest reasons that ordinary people afraid of BTC are its being much more different than the usual currencies and its being too volatile. There are so many people all around the world who have no idea about Bitcoin because of its totally different structure. And when you say that 'it is decentralized', many people look at you like 'How is it possible?'. If those people take the necessary education for learning about cryptocurrencies correctly or they do a good research about them, they would really understand what is meant by saying decentralized etc. and how its system works.

In my opinion, ordinary people don't really know Bitcoin and they saw FUDs from bad people. This may be the common reason for many people to be afraid of Bitcoin. There are too many FUDs and those people are sometimes lazy to check whether it is true or wrong issues. However, I think most people are starting to be not afraid again now because they already know about Bitcoin from many valid sources.
Well said, those who experienced scams provides wrong impressions to this industry. With certain losses they created fuds and misinformation about this asset, people who are not paying attention are easy been move so instead of gaining interest they'll simply been push away from this opportunities, if only they take time to learn about this system and all the benefits, for sure just like us they'll be able to enjoy all the benefits.

If a person experienced aomething negatively, he will always tell to others the negative side only of that thing. I agree to the idea that those person who experienced to be scammed are always getting bitter about the lesson they've learned. The ending is that people always get afraid of the opportunity that they might be get. They often move backward because of the only idea that the other told. People always losing the opportunity to learn new things and earn some profits. I think people isn't scared about bitcoin in general, they just don't want to experienced others mistakes and not afford to lose some of their investments.

sometimes ordinary people only see the negative issues of bitcoin. when actually looking at bitcoin has a good positive side. just look at the current high prices and many people get profit there. then where are you worried about bitcoin, so I think it's just an exaggeration and it's not good for ordinary people.
If we look at it at that point, its really alarming on why people looks at Cryptocurrencies at that way. This means that the mainstream news regarding Bitcoin and other Cryptocurrencies are always bad news but we really cannot blame them and just hope that they might keep an open mind. They will always worry about something that is talked about publicly because media is one of the most powerful tool that anybody can have and as long as bad actors have control over the media, we are not gonna get any good news regarding Cryptos.

Sources of mass media practically always adhere to one point of view, which very often brings harm to society. The fact is that they are publishing only one point of view, which is very often negative, when members of the government or other people speak very badly about cryptocurrencies. Most journalists do not study this issue and they are incompetent in providing complete and objective information about cryptocurrencies to the public.

There are also some people who deliberately want to show and talk about only bad news about Bitcoin. I don't understand this kind of people too. As digital currencies will have a big dominance (and maybe there will be no fiat currency left at all) in the coming years, people shouldn't antagonize cryptos and they should try to learn about them.

It is normal for people to feel scared of what they have little or no information about and most importantly as it concerns finance, people have heard of the kind of money made from the blockchain space and the truth be told, it was just a transfer of wealth from an investor to some trader who wants to sell off his digital asset. nobody likes to part ways with money no matter how small, so, i can understand why people are scared of bitcoin. Someone told me not long ago: Bitcoin is a dangerous game. It is even possible for some people or groups to take over the blockchain through a majority and destroy the entire mechanism. People don't know they are playing these games.
For a long time buying Google at a high price, Amazon and Apple are both good choices for me.
Yes, there are a lot of stocks there, there are also cryptocurrencies, there are also many bonds and debt instruments. In the US, there are obviously 9,600 mutual funds (quick Google search) . The question is, which of the thousands is worth buying.
Just because some or many of the available options are not good investments, it does not mean that the entire asset class is bad.
The prosperity of encryption technology is just like the technological prosperity. They have got a lot of IPOs because of various stupid ideas. Most of these technology companies are stupid and not worth it. Nowadays, there are many ICOs, most of them are stupid and not worth it.
However, there are still opportunities to realize value.
Also about digital assets. Digital assets have become a reality. Did you know that Fortnite had nearly $2 billion in revenue last year? Do you know what these billion users got? Different appearances in the game can give characters different dance moves. You can play the exact same game without paying any fees.

The answer is very simple - they are afraid of what they do not understand.
That is the reason at the simplest form but I have to add that they also fear technology and the things that are intangible that is why they do not risk doing anything involving finance online because they don't know whether to trust the site or not. It is not the fault of the people entirely that they are afraid of what they do not know, the fault also lies on educators, they need to tell this people what they need to know about bitcoin and cryptocurrency.

They are simply scared of moving cashlessly and being rich digitally. Some are scared because they don't have a good knowledge of what Bitcoin is all about. Some need to be enlightened, educated and coached. They're not ordinary people IMO. Once they find value in it through advertisements or a payment gateway they wish to interact with accepts Bitcoin as the easiest alternative; they will have no option than to get involved in the fat growing technology. It is fine to get scared of what you don't know about how it operates and it also involves personal funds. Finance disrupts security and everyone is always cautious of what involves their financial investments.

If you talk about people who have zero knowledge about bitcoin then yes they are afraid of bitcoin, for them bitcoin is something used in ransomware, dark net and alike stuff. The more you know about bitcoin more is your fear gone.

But how many of them are willing to know more about bitcoin? I think unless they step up and do their own due diligence on bitcoin rather than relying on media that’s a control freak. Until that happens people won’t be able to find what’s good for them.

what they fear might be the lack of understanding about crypto, so they are afraid to dive into the crypto world with the least experience they have so they must be careful how to take the next step, and also they are afraid of the many cases of fraud and hacking that occur in the world. cryptocurrency basically they are afraid of just a lack of knowledge about bitcoin, if they have an understanding of bitcoin enough to make them there is nothing to be afraid of when plunging into the world of cryptocurrency.

Why is it so opposed by the world of traditional finance? Because the lack of any control over this market and related regulations exposes buyers to risk. In 2017, the NBP and the Polish Financial Supervision Authority, in response to the growing interest in cryptocurrencies, issued a warning to people tempted by the record-breaking rate of bitcoin. Governments spread panic ...

I love how you label them as a normal people. Truth be told, its a typical reaction for people to be afraid or reject something they don't know. The lack of understanding of the said token leads them in rejecting the idea, worse is cursing it.
