Hello all. I've hit a low in life with covid being around now and having to close shop as a tattoo artist. Im without a studio to work out of after running it for a celebrity ive known for a few years and we came to disagreements. Which in turn caused him to change the locks so I no longer had access to my equipment and sent me packing without my laptop and machines. Because he was sending me 100 pound a week through lockdown he demanded i pay 1500 back as it was a "loan" but it wasn't agreed. I just started receiving money as he knew I wasn't earning due to covid closing shop temporarily. It was only when he fired me he pulled that card. I worked there and ran it on my own taking bookings providing the clients and splitting 350 a day on a 50 percent split and I felt like it was time to bring up the payrise we talked about on first agreeing to open the shop together. Which they said was after the first year but i left it go on one extra until i called it out. Ive been out of work since 2 months into the first lockdown I havnt really been counting but more than 8 months.. and on universal credit which isn't enough to pay my bills i had previous or live comfortably at the same time. Let alone contemplate on opening a new studio as I aint got the funds for it. Had to close my bank account after everything went tits up because I defaulted on my overdraft and car loan ( which its engine blew up no warranty ) and I just had my other car repossessed and defaulted on that too. I have no idea what to do as all I know is tattooing an have done for 8 years now. My instagram is s.i.r.tattoo if you want a nose at my portfolio theres years of stuff on there. All I'm asking really is a way to get a new laptop, printer and tattoo equiptment and any sort of help really. I've literally lost everything last year. The little family I had going with my 7 year old daughter. Now I'm back with the parents and no sense of direction.

Contact your past clients and make a deal with them - or ask your parents.   No collateral, no loan - no matter what your sob story is.

Hi mate. Cheers for the compliments Smiley and thanks for the link. I've checked it put but no one i know thats a user can vouch for me as they ask in the competition details. So thats not an option. I lost my job asking for a pay rise, had all my equipment basically stolen. Including my laptop which I need for my work. All I had is an ipad right now as a means to earn coin. desperately

...
I defaulted on my overdraft and car loan
...

And this is the way to convince the lenders in a landing section to give you a loan. I'm sure that everybody will fight to take your offer.

This is usually what happens when you "live the artist life" and don't give a shit about saving and preparing for the future. Now don't expect that others just give you their hard earned money for free.
If you want a loan, provide valid collateral, just like everybody else. If you don't have it, than this is not the place for you to ask for a loan.

You have a better chance of finding a lender if you list the expenses you need to buy and add them up and present a dollar total.

Lenders here aren't particularly generous to give a loan when the amount needed isn't known beforehand.

No he won't. It has nothing to do with generosity. It has everything to do with collateral.
Anyway, there are plenty of jobs in construction and delivery that don't require any skills right now so op should be fine if he want to work.
