In the past month I've been getting a large number of requests from outside collectors looking to acquire some Casascius coins, and many of them are specifically requesting graded ones. Brass 0.5 and 1.0 are the most requested.

This is an open invitation to send me PM's regarding graded coins that you have along with asking prices. You are also welcome to PM with ungraded ones, but note that success is less likely (though I do appreciate them). If you have several and you can offer quantity discounts, let me know.
Pics are appreciated but not required- but I will ask for them anyway in the sale process.

Thanks

I’ve been offering to sell my collection as a whole, but have been unable to make a deal with interested buyers and will most likely begin selling them off individually in the near future.

May I ask how one gets their coins graded? (Sorry, new here) I found this in the search but wanted to see if there were other options https://www.anacs.com/

It also looks like Anacs has max value up to $10k which a loaded 1BTC Casascius would exceed.

Are there local places to the Bay Area? The shipping part stresses me out a bit

There's a courier who comes to Bay Area frequently and will take them to ICG for grading which reminds me I need to give him coins next time he's in the area.

Thanks for the quick response. Good to know -- do you mind sharing his info and/or more about the process?

Also, is it worth grading coins that aren't in mint-looking condition? Or are those the types of coins that can especially benefit from grading?

Any loaded coin benefits from grading IMO:

Protection from any elements, plus the grade value can help determine price for resale.

You are also less likely to deal with any counterfeits etc etc.

Grading is subjective OFC, but still - it also keeps you from peeling it a bit, since you know it's probably worth more unpeeled. Tongue

Good luck, awesome fckn coin right there! Cheesy
