As for me, it was fine because I never any access to the Bitcoin wallet or offer that year and all I've done was playing games on the computer every day. No one has ever told me about Bitcoin until 2015 when the price has already jumped up to more than $500 if I'm not mistaken and as a teenager, I can't afford it that time. The people who lost are those who had someone offered them those bitcoins when its price is so low and they didn't pay any attention, now there's no turning back again and all they can do is choose from any of the altcoins or invest in bitcoins anyway.

It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

Yeah those prices in 2009 or even in 2015-16 . . .

Do you guys also get that angry feeling deep down there in your heart? Where you heart say "I wish I should have kept my bitcoins which I earned or bought back in the time?""
I think no matter how big trader you are or big investor you are, this feeling stays the same to all of us if you have already sold your bitcoin.
I know there is thing called as satisfaction, so if someone says I sold at 14k USD and made profits then it's fine.

BUT, today the price is so high that even such guy would say I wish I would have kept it. Don't know but honestly this is what is going on my mind right now.

There was time when it was equal to my electricity bills now same bitcoin is equal to our house price and car EMI altogether. Lolz.  Tongue

Be honest, and tell me do you feel the same?

Nah, Not feeling it, as I myself didn't have the motivation to ride that train way back that time.

I have informations regarding BTC way back 2014 but the idea of investing in it doesn't even cross my mind.

So no, I don't have any regrets and won't even try to convince myself that "IF".

Now, living to where I am now, I'm currently worried about how the price will move as BTC is reaching ATH in just weeks.

That was ay back in 2009 when bitcoin is not that too high and no one knows that bitcoin could reach as far as like this, imagine if you bought bitcoin the time for sure you are an instant millionaire right now but unfortunately I don't think that people bought bitcoin that time have waited for so many years before they sell it. Those who bought bitcoin at that time had sold their bitcoin when the price of it moves high even a little bit.

Another nostalgic thread:

[OLD] Bitcoin Auction: 10,000.00 BTC --- Starting Bid 50.00 USD.

10k=$50, damn, those where the days.

The first time I am noticing this thread. I have heard about the BTC50,000 pizza, but no one told me about this BTC10,000 auction. BTW, no one took part in the auction, so it failed. The seller could not find any buyers and therefore the coins didn't changed the owner. Perhaps this is one of the rare occasions, where the seller would be thanking the buyers for refusing his product.  Grin

At that time I knew that bitcoin was a crypto asset, but I ignored it too much because back then it was still very vulnerable to the Ponzi system. But now Bitcoin can show anyone who doubts it, the more enthusiasts the higher the price. It's still not too late to start investing in bitcoin

How i wish i'd be able to make an investment at that time, looking back at the time where bitcoin was affordable and friendly to investors with not having a huge capital to used as an investment. Wayback at that year also bitcoin was one of cryptocurrency that was given for free not that high value enough but the mere fact that it was free was a good chance to grab on. Who would've thought that a crypto coin back then worth $999 will become a $59999 today.

No regret even the price went up after I sold my bitcoin years ago at $10,000. As long as I hold bitcoin, everything will gonna be alright. Stacking up kore at these $60k prices.

Those who have Hold it when the prices were low to even $20k which was 2017 ATH are now in profit buckets because it's not easy to hold as it looks. They have invested at high or say peak prices but does it even matter at $60000 when they have 4* their intial investment without any extra charges in just 3 years of time. And the whales who were initial players in Bitcoin market in 2011 are now sitting on piles of funds with them and they are even investing now at the dips to gain profits. After 5 years you will be posting same picture with $60k as past memories and regretting not to invest at that time when prices will be at $200k per coin.So be part of it.

That is nice to hear. In general I don't think there is any use of regret and especially in case when someone managed to do some good things like you did .
I also sold substantial amount of Bitcoins years ago, maybe not at the most favourable price, however at that moment this helped me to solve some personal and family situation and now I look at this as a good move. I can't say that I don't think somethines what would have happened if I left some until now, but it's not a regret. I can say that Bitcoin could be very useful and helpful for everyone of us, at any situation, at any time, no matter the current price.

After 2017 ATH of bitcoin, it's market price dropped down to the lowest of more or less $3000 as i could remember it wayback middle of the year 2018-2019. And i do regret that i didn't take advantage the bearish trend of bitcoin at that time, well i didn't also expecting that bitcoin will make it up from its bearish to bullish and hitting a new ATH for as high as 200% than it was before. Now, all i can say that bitcoin was still on it's finest and bearish trend were not yet expected.

It was really ridiculous seeing these prices in the past years, I guess it's easy to sell at that time especially when you already at x10 or x20 at that time.

I mean no one would really think that the market price of bitcoin would reach 60k$ today at that time so only a very small percentage that really holds for a long time or maybe they just forget about that investment.

So practically when you buy bitcoin at that time it would make sense to sell when it's already too high I mean it's risky with just holding, we don't really know what could happen if the price would continue to pump in the future. I remember when I was just getting started at cryptocurrency price was around 400$ only if I just invested at that time, also one thing is I don't really have the money to risk or invest.

the price of $400 back then was already very high and imagine buying in 2009 and selling it now.
the current price of $60k is certainly a high price tag and would not have expected it to be like this.
I joined crypto and got to know bitcoin in 2016 and the price is still around $600- $700. being a holder will always win if you are sure.
$100k will probably be reached by Bitcoin, but it may not be that easy to hit the $ 100k price tag.

Bitcoin has a good future, the more it is adopted, the more it is known and trusted.

Investing several assets in bitcoin is certainly a good thing, the most important thing is that investment must use free money.

If everyone knew about it, there would have been many who took advantage of the bearishness when it happened at that time, what is clear at that time was in my mind there was a continuous frying of opinion on the bitcoin market even though they didn't know what the conditions would be in the future and now.

Even at the price of $30k, we are slow to take advantage of it because for me it is already the highest price but in fact not everything is going well even it can redeem x2 afterwards, so indeed ATH will continue to be achieved where conditions will continue to recover over time.

Is it worth investing in once the price reaches $60k? of course it's not too late and we still feel how bitcoin will grow again.

Imagine someone not investing in bitcoin because they thought that the price was very high last year and earlier this year at $10,000 price rate.

A lot of people used to say that it was late already to invest in bitcoin due to how high the price was at $10,000.

There were people who would come to me back then and say that they are interested but the price is high, and I will just tell them that if they are able to risk money in the market, they should invest that money at that $10,000. Only one guy was able to do that and now he’s happy he did listened to me and invested his money.

Currently Bitcoin is 55 thousand. If Bitcoin goes down to 30,000 again. After that, I would say that by mid 2022, Bitcoin will reach 2.5 lakhs. This is a comment from many predictors and analysts.

Because these people are too naive to think about the possible huge growth of Bitcoin, what they think is that the crisis will give a huge impact on the crypto market pushing Bitcoin to drop, instead of increasing value. And they are absolutely wrong, digital transformation has made the value of Bitcoin more than $10,000 and it continues to grow until reaches $20k, $30,..., until $62k.

If the pandemic still not resolve, no reason that Bitcoin will bounce back low to $10k, not anymore. Guaranteed nothing but the situation gives some room for the demand to grow, not to decline.

This is lie changing. Emerging someone just invested 1USD back then and manage to hold it up to this time, that will be a financial turn-around. Digital currency is the future as it will alleviate poverty in many nations.
