Most of those holders from 2017 they already sold their coins when the gas and other fee became higher and start buying again when they see the graph market that all coins are increasing and never stop it's bull run if a normal people and doesn't have any information which coins going to be pump or dump then he will definitely sell and not going to hold for that long people are always settings there goal to reach their profit once a year or maybe a month if they into trading but most of people doesn't have knowledge or skill on trading that's why they choose to hold their investment and just waiting to earn profit from it.

This is highly expected cus the said institutions only recognize bitcoin as the real crypto currency and also a store of value, the rest altcoins are nothing but side projects and utility coins and tokens which on a normal circumstance, was not created for investment purposes but for utilizing in the individual businesses there are create for, and we all also know that the risk involved in investing in altcoins are way more higher than the risk involved in investing in bitcoin, so I believe the institutions with big money will rather play it safe than risking on altcoins that might disappear tomorrow.

he didn't even visit CMC may be to see the fact that is still happening right now when the money that was pouring into the bitcoin has been giving a massive increase to the altcoins.
it looks very strange to see that consider the altcoin season already happened a few months ago. He doesn't get the correlation between altcoin and bitcoin in the crypto market.

Perhaps that time will still come but even now some altcoins are doing really well, the only difference between now and previous bull season is that everything use to pump (literally every alts in the market) but in this present time only some selected alts has done really well so far.
Although, right now btv is the main focus, almost all the new money coming in are for btc, alts can only hope to get small part of that.

So much is happening right now both to BTC and other alt- coins, if you are aware with the situation of things in the crypto market you will know that it's not only BTC that's getting lot of Investors, but the only reason why the one of BTC is so loud is because the kind of coin BTC is. The so called big players are investing big time on it, and has they are doing that so also for other altcoins too. I was aware of some big companies investing heavily into ETH few days ago. They said they have seen a lot of potentials in it. And they have also promised to invest into BNB too cause the coin is really going up. I think it has gone up for more than 1000% now. That's what Investors are looking for.

I do not think that.  Market capitalization poured into speculation is huge.  But it's almost the same in 2017, the bitcoin cap this year accounts for 60% of the total market cap, when bitcoin reaches a net worth of 1,000 billion some altcoins also generate ATH when pumped from the defi compatibility boom like  BNB (~ 273%), ADA (more than ~ 1000%), Dot (~ 525%).  As bitcoin takes the lead this year, the numbers show that alt has also exploded.  Now,just 2 months, I think even better uptrend will be the March journey.

It has been like this forever, it has been the same story for bulls everytime infact it is good that we have the experience and knowledge now to forecast market trends and movements so it is great for a calm investor like me because i know after btc fully peak then we will get the real alt parabola which will change the financials for many individuals and believe me their are still many 100x plus potential coins out there.

It's not independent if they just follow the movement of bitcoin, maybe there are some coins that still pump despite bitcoin is dumping but in general, the altcoins market always follow with bitcoins movement, just like what we are seeing to the same CMC, bitcoin is down and so as most of the altcoins.

Bnb was pumped due to Ethereum fee being too high and insane for retailers, they decided to buy bnb rather than eth, it's not like any big financial institutions invested in all these altcoins you mentioned , bitcoin is the real deal without any doubt, I believe everyone knows this already, if bitcoin didn't pump insanely there's no way bnb would pump to $300 easily and that fast, just make profits off those coins you are holding now, the altcoin season is still in doubt not sure we are having one now, all focus is still on bitcoin reaching the $100k target.

Since the fourth quarter of last year and especially this year, many altcoins have risen in value many times more than bitcoin. Therefore, it is hardly worth considering that the altcoin season will not come this year. For many potential types of cryptocurrencies, it has long been around.
Bitcoin will not constantly continue to rise in value this year. This is the nature of cryptocurrency. And after that, capital will surely flow from bitcoins to altcoins. It's just a matter of time.

As bitcoin minimalist, i dont believe why people so much keep investing big money in Bitcoin only, many altcoin offering something more beautiful as a project.
I still believe that altcoin will have some spike again and bigger than before.

Well what do we expect? That all these alts will simply and automatically join in the bandwagon? Unfortunately, Bitcoin is just one of many coins. And just because Bitcoin went to the top means that other will do the same. Well, it does not work like that. Anyway, we just have to be very careful in the projects that we join and supported since by being knowledgeable with the project and always up to date with the workings, then you will be able to strategize if you will sell your coin or buy more.

mate, bitcoin price will not always up wich mean a corrections will come such as now, because of that i believe when the corrections coming investors will try to find an alternate of bitcoin to drop their money buddy, and altcoins is the answer, then when bitcoin growing back altcoins will follow, thats my opinion
