Trading always has that 50/50 chance and no matter how much experience you get it always results in a win or loss, and as such anyone can partake in it. That is the funny thing about trading that makes me laugh a lot time to time. Obviously someone who studied trading a lot, like even after years of studying and doing it, still keep studying it, think about it like being a professor of a subject at a prestigious school, you still keep reading to learn more and do not stop, yet you teach anyway while still learning more and more. Well, I have got your point and you are right there. But I think basic learning on treading is not enough for me, traders must dig more to obtain knowledge and skills in trading. Involving emotions to trading is the biggest reason why people end up losing money, it is not a smart move to put that much money and faith into your feelings because in the end you will lose, there is no way that anyone could make any profit while there is something valid and tangible they could check but ignore. Yes, learning various indicators is important and what's more important is learning how the market behaves under what conditions. One thing I can tell to people who are new is about correction. At times when there is a strong bull-run going on, you will notice that once it slows down or stops, there will be a correction which will pull back the price by a small margin. It depends. I believe all people same as you including myself. I know the existence of Bitcoin since 2013 when that time we only mine with Asic USB miner. I bought 2 and started to mine but gave up because at that time, those new machine keep coming and anything you bought will depreciate very fast before you hit BE. There's no absolute answer for this question. I believe most people think the same way because it's just simply BUY or SELL and as long as you have internet, that's easy. When you want to achieve profit, they thought simply buying a course from internet and they become expert in couple months time. Yes, investing and trading has different definitions, unfortunately most people couldn't differentiate it. When buying and hold, you just need to have positive outlook on certain products, that's call investing. There are differences from the starts as well, that is what some people do not realize. And expect your journey into trading to be educational first.  Everybody thinks, opening a broker account, depositing 1000 US$ and placing some trades will make them a trader in a day or two.  If people are good in their day job and you ask them how long it took for them to get that good at it, they'll answer you something like 5 years, 8 years, 10 years. The basic rules of trading hasn’t changed, it is still to buy low and sell when it’s high.
