TRC-20 is a very comfortable token standart and it`s absolutely safe. Tron blockchain is a good way out from the situation with crazy fees in the Ethereum blockchain. If you have own non-custodial wallet, then it`s quite safe to keep money there, but holding on the exchange always has some risks, so be careful.

I want to transfer USDT from one address to another. ERC20 detucts a lot of fee but TRC 20 on tron network, the transaction is free of cost. I want to know if TRC 20 blockchain is safe to use and we can store our USDT there for long term ?
I don't have a 100% information about in TRC20 but so far as I can see with TRX it is one of the good and have cheap charge when you do a transaction with it. Because no doubt at the present time now the fee for the ETH(ERC20) was certainly too expensive. In short both are safe only their difference is the transaction fee.

I think you can safely do that and while Tron blockchain isn't as famous as Ethereum so it doesn't bring the same trust as Ethereum blockchain but it should be good because Tron itself has a good market cap and I personally have used it countless times, never had any issues myself. Yes, currently TRON Blockchain is an alternative to sending USDT between wallets or exchanges, because gas fees on the ethereum network are very expensive, so far tron blockchain there are no any problems, even the TRON network is faster and cheaper.
Exactly, in fact when I am trading at Binance, I deposit the USDT by Tron only and once its into my balance on Binance, I have no fear of anything wrong happening because it has been confirmed and hence into my balance. I would really hope more and more sites accept USDT on tron blockchain because like I sometimes play at bitsler, they accept USDT but only on the ethereum blockchain, I hope they realize and shift soon.

Transferring funds using TRON-based USDT is indeed the right choice. because besides the small cost when transacting, it is also very fast. I have used it many times and I feel safe

I personally don't use trc20 that is why I only based on the reviews of other people. According to them, the security and conveniency are more way better in erc 20 compare to trc 20. Also the credibility of erc 20 are already built in the market so it is a huge advantage to it.

Though to me I prefer Trc20 because of the low transaction fee, the interesting part of it, is that once a transaction is been there is also fast delivery. So erc20 is good am not disputing the fact, I prefer trc20

FYI, if you are doing an exchange to exchange transfer, then you are just using Tron's chain from many different Blockchains offered on your exchange platform and that will not make any difference because your USDT will remain normal USDT in other exchange's account and you or other person who holds that exchange account can use any Blockchain to send USDT ahead to any user. If you are sending it to a wallet, then too, tronlink wallet is a secure wallet so you should not worry about the security.

I recently made some transaction which was going to cost me a lot using ERC20 and I have to use the TRC20 instead since the two platform have both options and one other transaction I couldnt do because it was only ERC20 transaction offer and the cost was also very high so I had to live that one and I believe the blockchain is just as safe as ERC20 and will prefer to use that now for obvious reasons

No need to store your USDT there for long term just for transaction cost. It is safe to transfer your USDT to TRC 20 (Tron) blockchain. The cost of TRC-20 USDT transaction is very low and can be withdrawn completely free from some exchanges like Binance, Kucoin etc. I often withdraw my asset by converting it to TRC-20 USDT. it is actually the best way to transfer USDT from one exchange to another, or from a wallet to another wallet, fast and low cost transfer with all said, I would not stuck many USDT on Tron network, it is not decentralized and security issues are not negligible there, so keep it fast and clean, with transfer to Ethereum network for security in the end

Before transferring you USDT to an tron network you need to swap USDT from ETH network to TRON network which is basically selling your USDT and buying back on tron network, you can send USDT running on ERC20 to a TRON wallet.

Are you sure you are transferring USDT on the ethereum network from exchange to exchange? try to see how much it costs at the moment. Tron network for USDT is also widely available on exchanges and it is the best alternative that many traders use to move their assets. In a single USDT withdrawal transaction on the ethereum network you will need at least almost $ 20 (each exchange has a different value). Are you sure you are wasting your money on it?

I have been using TRC 20 for quite some time now and up to this point i have not had any problems but using usdt as a way of storing for a long time isn't the best idea. The price once fell to 70 cents per coin who knows what might happen in the future...

(1) TRON uses POS while ETH uses PoW (at least at the moment). Therefore the security is related to the consensus POS vs. POW that you can google more about it. (2) TRC/ERC is as secure as its smart contract code, so it isn't easy to generalize tokens' security.
Anyway, if you use it only for the short term (moving USDT and stuff), security isn't your main concern.

Why does tether and usdc and all these other coins do this? I had never used usdt or usdc but if you send from one network to another, it won't go through? I mean, how does that make sense? I mean its not okay you sending btc address to bch address etc. If that is the case, wouldn't that mean lot of time ppl send usdt or usdc... it gets lost because its sent to wrong network?

It is secure, I have transferred USDT many times with the TRC20 network, I never got any problems. If it is not secure enough, the top exchange like Binance won't provide it as one of the options of the network for withdrawal or transfer coins. Just use TRC20 as long as it is free or cheap, I guess the fees will increase in the future along with more people use it. some of the major exchanges do have USDT listed on the TRC20 network. and of course, some would have argued about the lower cost. both of them are still safe for transactions. we just want to use which network is more convenient. with high costs but if we can afford it I think there is no problem.

Do you mean usdt ever fell to 70 cents per coin? that sounds unbelievable tbh and considering many people out there always trying to get some profit from margin between many exchanges price it's impossible and if even that's true the price gonna go back up to its normal price again which is 1USD. Maybe that's just a chart error on your end?

These blockchain are working for some years now and there are no known exploits on the blockchain itself. In that sense, TRC20 should be as secure as ERC20. But things differentiate on how individual tokens or smart contract work. And what special privilege the team or the nodes have. It's not the blockchain that controls the smart contract or economics of a token.

Hopefully you don't forget to drink coffee today, in the crypto room everything is set correctly, you just have to run it according to the existing procedure, not like a dream that you would expect to come true, logically sending with different networks and types different tokens, will obviously fail, so stop thinking about nonsense.

This is the best thing with TRC 20, the network is a lot more cheaper compare to ERC 20 that's why many are using this one. This is safe as long as you are protecting your wallet, and its secured as well same thing with ERC 20. Though, TRC 20 are quiet limited compare to ERC 20, I still prefer to use the cheaper one, just check every transactions that you have and make sure you have the correct information.
