According to a research in the past, that Tron suffered from a critical bug that could have crashed its entire blockchain in 2019 but it was a research and proper solutions were made. If you store your crypto on exchanges, you should not store it for long term, in USDT on ERC 20 or TRC 20 or with any cryptocurrency. Exchanges are not safe places to store your crypto for long.

TRC 20 is safe to use. If it is unsafe, big exchanges did not integrate it into their deposit or withdrawal options.

Another note is if you are careful, you can move your USDT with TRC20 in multiple times. You know transaction fee on TRC20 is cheap or free so doing multiple transactions is not matter for you. It makes more sense when you spend a little more time to do it for your safety.

I think tron is secure enough, though from my own perspective, not as secure or strong as Ethereum but it's definitely secure and strong enough to securely keep your money, but if I were you, I did rather opt for binance usd or usd running on stellar network, this are very good and highly secure blockchain just as Ethereum is, this is not to say tron is not capable but I personally just don't like the fact that it's not been used by many people, I like something that has been tested and trusted by many people.

Im still using tether TRC20 instead ERC20 and everything is always going very smoothly.
You should not feel worried as long as you will be storing it in the best wallet for tron asset.

As far as i know, its as safe as another Blockchain if you keep the key safe. I mean its impossible to crack your passphrase to access your wallet until this time.

I use tron blockchain to store my usdt. I use trc-20 for stort term, Because of it’s low transaction fee. I think tron is safe but eth is more secure. If you want to store usdt for long time, Then i think erc-20 is good.

I personally prefer TRC 20 blockchain to store my USDT because of ETH's insane amounts of fees. I regularly use my TRC20 address to do transactions with USDT and I haven't faced any negative consequence yet so I am assuring you that it is 100% safe as long as you are the one who is holding your TRC 20 address private key.

I am also a content writer or freelancer so i was getting paid in usdt mostly but as the gas fee rose it costed me a lot to receive and also send usdt but then one of my employers suggested me to get paid via trc20 usdt and that made life easy as i had to pay no fee and the usdt is the same as on erc20 so no difference in value from that day i have become a fan of tron network.

I am personally using TRC-20 and it is super fast and smooth. Fees is also very low if we compare with ERC-20. Most of the exchanger accept TRC-20 because it is trusted and secure. You can also try it to store your USDT.
