New crypto miner wannabe on here, some guide lines are needed
1. Can I mine on any motherboard? Been AMD or Intel doesn't matter?
2. Must I buy AMD gpus for AMD motherboard and vice versa?
3. I heard it's big problem for newbies to config pools themselves, any easy way around this?
4. Best are the best GPU to buy for convenient mining for newbie?
1 yes but there are mother boards that are not very useful over others example of a board not useful is one with 1 pcie slot ... and thats it. most mini atx boards are a waste of time. and try to avoid proprietary boards from dell or HP while they are excellent products generally their power supply connections tend to be non standard making it hard to work with.
2 no and you can mix them.
3 some of the instructions of the various mining software Can be unclear so do a little research on some of the commands.
4 best gpu is one you own in this market. buying one now isnt very easy unless you are willing to dump large amounts of money at them. they are selling for 3x and 4x regular prices a 150 dollar card can cost you 600 no joke. the upside is if the market continues the 3x and 4x cost will still pay for itself in 4 or 5 months. But for specific card i would aim for rx 580 8 gig. 2 two reasons 1 they seem to be more common then the 1080ti. and 2 they are easier to get a hold of at not completely insane prices. still 3x normal price though. make sure you get one with 2 fans. single fans cards wont cut it.
