I would like to ask if the Seed Bip39 (of 12 words) generated by the Trezor Model T when a new portfolio is created ..can possibly be used to recover our cryptovalutes through a different Wallet (such as .for example Exodus, Jaxx, Coinomi..etc) ..
I ask this because if in case of breakage or theft of our trezor I can't find it very reassuring the idea of necessarily having to buy another equal to be able to return to manage our cryptovalutes ..
Can anyone give me an answer ..?
Thanks to all those who want to answer

You can easily enter the 12 word SEED into Electrum (software wallet) and conduct all your Crypto business there.   BIP39 is the standard and many many ways to use BIP39 with numerous programs.

Yes, Trezor generates a Bip39 seed phrase.  Any wallet compatible with Bip39 seeds can restore the wallet.  If you're using Electrum there's an "Options" button where you enter your seed, that will give the ability to select Bip39, and an extension.  If you've turned on the Bip39 passphrase option on your Trezor, you'll need to enter the passphrase in the extension field.

Alebit, regardless of the possibility of doing a wallet recovery with Trezor seed with the help of another wallet, I would only recommend it to you if you really have no other choice. The whole point of generating seed (private keys) within the secure environment provided by the hardware wallet loses its meaning if you type that same seed into a desktop or online wallet - it is then considered compromised.

It would be ideal to have two devices, so if one breaks down the other is immediately at hand, and you don't have to take risks. If you have no other choice, I suggest that in case of need for recovery you work in a way to check and verify every wallet you want to use, and to be 100% sure that you have a computer/mobile device that is virus/malware free.

You can recover it any other wallet that supports BIP39, and most other hardware wallets are supporting it but for some it is optional and for others it is required.
Keep in mind that some software wallets may not support BIP39 recovery, and I would not use Jaxx, Exodus (closed source) or Coinomi (closed source) for importing your seed words from hardware wallet into regular software wallet because it will no longer be offline, and it is not advisable to keep coins there.
Purpose of hardware wallets is to keep everything offline so I would be very careful when importing mnemonic seed words anywhere, but importing to other hardware wallets should be fine.

For more information about BIP wallet recovery you can check this website:

First of all I would like to thank you for your answers. Wink
Mine.. was just a curiosity.
I know the risks involved using an "online" wallet ... but I wanted to be sure about the possibility (if any) of being able to recover your wallet even without necessarily having to use the Trezor.
Thanks again

Have a merit, you answered a question I had without me even having to ask it.

On top of what everyone else said, I would just like to add that you have now learned that it is possible to recover your Trezor-generated seeds in alternative wallets. In case your Trezor breaks down and malfunctions and you plan to purchase another hardware wallet, please don't experiment and try to recover your seed in a desktop wallet. That should only be done as a last resort if you absolutely must access your assets and you can't wait for your new hardware device to arrive. If you do it just to check if it works, it will be a mistake and you will be compromising your security. It's better to create a new wallet and seed to use in the meantime, and when your new device arrives you just move your funds from your temporary wallet to the new hardware wallet.
