Who accepts crpyto for services? If you take a look at the service board, you'll know that a lot of people are ready to offer services for crypto. I assume you're asking this based on the fee you've witnessed. Well, Bitcoin fees are high right now and that makes it a kind of no go area for me. So, here's my advice. If you want to hold Bitcoin, then receive Bitcoin and hodl along. If you want to make use of the payment for other purposes that isn't crypto, then receive payment in cryptos that has low fee (like Ethereum).

Most merchants do make use of payment processors.

Ex.

Bitpay
Coinsgate
Coinpade

When it comes on talking about merchants accepting crypto payment then there are lots of
them already existing not only into this forum but in some physical stores as well.

If you were afraid of Bitcoin volatility why not accept FIAT directly instead when accepting payment.

Or if you are planning to build a shop online and want to stay accepting bitcoin but you afraid about the price drop?

There is one option that I think you can use if you want to accept bitcoin and directly convert it into fiat.
Check Blockonomics you can able to use their service for payment forwarding and directly convert it to fiat with uphold wallet.

Here read this page.

In my country, crypto still cannot be accepted as a payment tool. So, I won't accept Bitcoin or altcoins to use as a payment tool since I will have a problem then with this activity. Maybe someday that our government will consider accepting Bitcoin or altcoin as the payment tool. They will evaluate laws to make Bitcoin or altcoins to use for payment tools.

many places / markets to turn bitcoin into FIAT, it is not difficult to imagine you just enter the market for example binance or the like,

for service problems Blockchain technology is usually applied through the Smart City program, the integration of various information and communication technologies aims to increase efficiency, improve public services, and improve the welfare of the population.

Dubai is considered as one of the most developed cities in the world in implementing the Smart City concept. Local authorities continue to innovate exploring various innovative ideas to make Dubai the first blockchain-based metropolis in 2020. Apart from Dubai, many other big cities have started to express their desire to implement the Smart City concept

FYI, I never use Bitcoin as payment because it is still not legal as payment in my country, only legal as a digital asset or commoity. Only get payment from this signature campaign  Grin

However, after reading this, let's check:
What steps you take after receiving your crypto ? u leave em there ? u cash out ASAP ? anyone converting to stable coins anymore (and which is the best) ?....
Well for this it will depend on your goal, sometimes, you need to hold it or sometimes you need to cash out because of your real-life necessity. So, cashing out is probably wise enough.
However, if you don't need cash, for now, you can hold it or even make certain targets to a certain rate of the BTC. But of course, DYOR again whether the price of BTC may increase or down at that time or certain next period.
For me personally, I leave it in my segwit wallet and will move it to my local exchange after several weeks. yeah, it relates to the fee that is used to transfer the coin.

Wait, do you mean converting the BTC to USDT? Well, actually if you have converted to USDT in your initial exchange and they support the TRC20 network, you may use this (of course your addressed exchange must also support USDT TRC20). The fee is commonly very low (and sometimes it is 0 fee).
If you don't want to convert it to USDT you can check whether rin your initial exchange there are some other coins or not, it is to consider which coin to transfer to your local exchange, sometimes, there are several choices of the coin to transfer with a small fee.

Taking into account that this is a bitcoin forum then it is a given that most of us accept bitcoin for whatever we have to offer, obviously not everyone has a service or product on the service section on the forum but it is very likely that anyone that does will accept bitcoin, personally if I had a service that accepted bitcoin on the forum I will not bother trying to convert to fiat or to stable coins, not only because of the fees but also because bitcoin is a way better alternative since if you can hold that bitcoin for long enough you will get more profits as well which is always nice.

Yes, in this forum if you want to find something you need, everything on this forum will suit your needs and but you should also do your research, even if you think the forum is trustworthy.
and if it is not really needed it should be stored for a long time because it will be more profitable if stored for a long time.
but it all depends on the circumstances and your needs and rights to do bitcoin that you have, I personally prefer to store bitcoin rather than selling it because in the country where I live bitcoin is only allowed for investment or assets and should not be used and is not available for any payment transactions , and is strictly prohibited by my government and if I want to make a purchase, I have to convert it to fiat.

In my business, i accept BTC amd ETH for certain transactions. After i receive and confirm (you must confirm because people are dubious), i live them there in my wallet. This is to say that whatever transaction someone makes with me and offers to pay in crypto, i simply see it as an exchange of service with investment.

Try to go Service Discussion and Goods you might be able to see what you are looking for there. Those are under the Marketplace if you want to expand your search. There are a lot of suggestions on how to pay in crypto so I wouldn't recommend more but at the least, visit the links that I provided.

If that's erc20 token payment, of course the person who wants to do a payment would shoulder the gas fees. Conversion fee is really high if you directly exchange on exchange like shapeshift, but with binance deposit of btc you can sell to usdt coin of its actual value.
Holding eth is also a secure idea, because if you're just wasting it on unknown tokens I don't think that's a smart idea. As price went so high gas fee would always matter, so always save your eth for future purpose

That is why there are payment processors for online merchants.
Of course, you still pay a small fee (that is, your customer pays) but you have no problems with transactions, conversions ...

Since 2016 here actually, and my earliest payments actually happened outside of this forum, but largely thanks to the information and inspiration from here. I'll offer some notes from my experience, if it's helpful good.

1. I learnt from Bitcoin City in Arnhem that an incentive works. Shops and merchants there all offered attractive prices if you paid in crypto, usually even enough to cover costs plus get savings if people bought crypto to pay. I'm a freelancer, and getting existing clients to switch to Bitcoin from PayPal or bank transfer wasn't easy, but I started offering discounts on invoices if paid by crypto. Businesses love discounts.

2. Go P2P if it's legal in your country, start localbitcoins, it's the safest way with escrow and you get local currency at better prices, usually faster and cheaper than from exchanges.

3. I always invoice and sell as much as I need, and save portions in fiat, as much as possible in BTC. So I've never bought crypto! I earn, in effect, "buying" on dollar cost average. So it's been good for me =)

emmm...you can't dodge gas fee at all. do you know how blockchain works? every transaction in crypto world will be recorded in blockchain and it's the miners responsible for transaction updating. they need gas fee as incentives. if there's someone accepting Crypto payment, either of you would certainly pay the gas fee Smiley

Me I am selling my service on some online games posting it on facebook and so far I gain some customer who paid me through BTC.
And if I would ever start or open up a business I would gladly accept it as a payment option to promote it on my neighborhood.

I think most merchants who accepts crypto or Bitcoin uses services that converts Bitcoin to USD immediately, that makes it viable. Others probably use third-party wallet apps (Like coins.ph and Abra) to receive Bitcoin or other crypto because the fees are either cheap or free. Anyway, are you going to make your own service that accepts Bitcoin as payment?

Using actual wallet to send or receive Bitcoin is not viable at all, at least for now.

I prefer Bitcoin as a payment method for domains, and I just move the coins into a holding wallet. I'm looking at setting up an on-line sales site to sell my stuff for Bitcoin, but it may be easier to quote prices in fiat, and just offer to accept Bitcoin as an alternative.

If this would be in terms of payment and if you can do it with cash then go for it, I always choose fiat over crypto as payment especially if that is possible because I do not want how long the transactions will finish before the confirmation and the transaction fees is also there if you will going to pay with bitcoin or altcoin.

Quote
What steps you take after receiving your crypto ?
after a succesful sell of products and recieve the money from random strangers ill sanitize them first .
no just joking but if the purpose is for business only i am going to convert them asap in a stable cryptos or convert and cash out them but if your doing other than business say if you play crypto gambling it will be inconvinient for you to withdraw and take them back in a crypto form .
dont get discourage from the conversion fees but remember that you can loose more than what your going to pay for the fees if the coins dumped hard .
