Good day guys, I'm New here please I want to know whether my ethereum account created from meta mask is the same as ERC-20 wallet OR is just an ethereum wallet ( ETH wallet). more so what is the TRX wallet and TRC 20 compatibility. I googled but I didn't get the explanation well. I guess you guys can help me out with some simple explanation.

Yes, if your wallet is created in Metamask it can be used to receive all ERC-20 tokens. Even not only that, you can also accept other types of tokens, you only need to set up the network in the metamask.

For TRC20 you can make it on Tronlink. If you are confused because there are too many types of wallets, you can use Trustwallet to create a multi wallet.

As far as i know, the wallet isnt created at metamask, its just create a random thing which created passphrase, private key, and your address to access your wallet.
And so many Blockchain use Ethereum based, like ETH, ETC, Callisto Network. You can access them with same passphrase, json or privatekey. But i dont know about TRX is same or not.

In simple terms, networked coins such as BEP-2 ERC-20 TRC-10 and TRC-20 or better known as standard smart contracts. to make it easier for each token to enter according to their respective networks.
So basically every Token based under the Ethereum network inserts a single document with the code ERC-20 (programming language called Solidity) which can read and write data into the blockchain. Likewise TRC-10 and TRC-20, compatible with the network under the TRON blockchain.

Metamask is erc20 compatible wallet so you can store ethereum as well as ethereum tokens on such wallets, and for other bolckchain tokens you need to find another wallet which supports them. There are also some wallets like trust which supports multiple coins under the same application.

Yes, all ETH addresses support all ERC20 tokens. But you can only control all those tokens if you have the private key. If you are using a wallet that supports importing of addresses between platforms, you can usually add a new ticker token manually as well eg. metamask or MEW.

There are wallets that generate a new ETH address for each token (such as wallets on CEX), you can still send any tokens but the balance will not be credited to your account. This means you don't have full control over that address.

This also applies to TRX which supports TRC20 tokens or other coins that support the smart contract feature.

Any Ethereum wallet made through metamask will also support Erc20 tokens, this is to say that your metamask Ethereum address is also your erc20 address, they are no difference, all you have to do is learn how to add custom tokens to your metamask as it is not all the erc20 tokens that you can find through the search bar.
And also, all tron or TRX Wallet Address is same as your TRC20 address, the wallet you used to send and receive TRX can also be used to send and receive TRC20 tokens.

I'm using Metamask too when I visited Decentralized Exchanges or DEX, But I'm not using it as my personal wallet I preferred using Imtoken 2.0 a multi-coin wallet which I can control my private key and also has a built-in exchange, By the way, most Ethereum wallets are supporting the ERC20 tokens, While TRX wallet is for TRON Blockchain coin/tokens and TRC20 is compatible to all TRX or Tron wallet.

Myetherwallet.com is good too if you want a mix for ETH and ERC-20 tokens. They allow you to swap your coin or tokens too but they are not good for DeFi tradings on DeFi exchanges.

If you want tron wallet which support TRC20 token you can use trust wallet or you can search on tron website, metamask is for ethereum and its token ERC20 token. Dont use centralized wallet and dont put your token or coin in cenrralized exchanger. And another network is Binance smart chain it is for BEP20.

It's like MEW where you can also store your ERC20 tokens. What you need to look at are those exchange wallets that has Ethereum address, they might have a separated address for the ERC20 tokens that they support.

Hi mate, TRX or trc20 is the same because that the platform where it belongs to and it's name came from TRON network, which is different from ethereum network. Don't use a tron wallet address that needs erc20, because you will deal on compatibility issue. Tokens will not confirm once there was a problem on the addresses that you use, so always bare in mind that it's very important to check what platform is required.
