What is Mobiepay?

MobiePay (Mobie) is being built to be a universal payment ecosystem that allows users to instantly spend or exchange fiat and cryptocurrency directly from their mobile phone to merchants or other users. Mobie will reduce friction in the payment process and give users immediate cash back on purchases. Mobie is a Stellar Network ($XLM) based token and is designed to be a fast and convenient way to convert any accredited cryptocurrency into ready to spend local fiat currency.
Retail buyers receive cash back on their purchases. Using Mobie products means close to zero fees are levied.

Merchants can offer their customers an innovative ePOS payment gateway. Settlement is in cash and is near immediate, thus avoiding risks of volatile crypto. No chargebacks mean significant savings. Because of this, merchants will have plenty of reasons to use Mobiepay’s solutions, therefore helping with mainstream user adoption through Mobiepay’s proprietary business model.

Mobie's goal is to democratize cryptocurrencies and allow them to be widely used for granular transactions in the global marketplace. Mobies main product is their consumer banking app (available on mobile phones and on desktop pc’s through your browser). With this app you can send and receive fiat and crypto, earn rewards (cash back) and even cross border remittance.

MobieX is a digital asset and exchange app. Because of their fiat-onramp solution in place, they allow users (crypto & non-crypto) to convert fiat to crypto. Only a hand full of current exchange allow for this much needed function (in order to achieve huge adoption) and within the US there are only a selected few.

MobiePay is the ePOS and merchant gateway solution. Combining this with the previous two products, the full Mobiepay suite will offer everything needed to create much needed mainstream adoption. Online merchant platforms will offer a ‘Pay through Mobiepay’ option. i havent seen a lot of successful projects in stellar network. what is the reason why they chose to develop this under stellar? as aiming to be the payment gateway also, how many merchants are already on board on this project? so many projects are aiming to be the payment gateway, however, only few can actually realised their goals.
btw, this has the TM-symbol already. is the usage legit?

I missed presale by a hair back in 2020. Had the investor deck handed to me and wanted in. However, I missed the Trustswap Launchpad event. Around October, I was reminded by someone that did buy at presale that token price was slightly below presale price after being listed at Bithumb. I am not sure how and why, but I decided to almost go all-in.

To me the fact that they are US based is a big win. That they have a fiat-onramp solution in place which means they can rival the likes of Coinbase, Binance, Kraken etc is an even bigger win. Retail is waiting low low threshold payment solutions. Merchants are looking for ways to get more business (online) or offer easy payments (ePOS checkout).

They seem to have some serious stuff cooking. March should be quite interesting .

I could search to quote them, but they've stated that their main reasoning for choosing XLM was speed, (low) cost of tx, easy implementation and the fact that Stellar has a proven use case within fintech/crypto.

They show a huge list of merchants and though they are currently not onboarded, they've stated it's already much more than talks (but nothing is being disclosed due to NDA's). Some have passed on MBX for this reason. Others decided to take their chance at this stage (and price level).
