You forgot about satoshidice . As i remember, this was the oldest dice gambling crypto platform, which was launched in 2013 (or even earlier, lol). Earlier than many of other casinos, like Sportsbet you've mentioned in your OP topic.

Oh yeah, here it is
Quote
SatoshiDice was launched on April 18, 2012.

The first one dice crypto site.

what we can conclude here, is that gambling industry is the first ones to adopt the usage of cryptocurrencies. and look at where we are now, still new casinos are being launched everyday. we have seen that one major use case of crypto is in the gambling industry. and one of the industries that was not affected by the pandemic. instead of slowing down, this has grown a lot in the previous months. i guess, this industry is the one that benefited from this pandemic crisis because even some of the fiat-based casinos are now accepting crypto to adopt the current trend.

Not just the first one but indeed the most successful one. The government also have accepted the crypto gambling industry as a whole since they are earning a lot of revenue during the pandemic from them. At the same time normal casinos are also adding cryptocurrencies in their basic system which is new and trending now a days.

I wonder where is Nakowa now, who won a total of 11,000 Bitcoin, of course, he will not think back then that Bitcoin will be valued 5 digits in the future, this is the largest amount won in a dice game, But Cryptocurrency gambling has evolved into a multi-million dollar industry and one of the main promoters of Cryptocurrency, I figure that hundreds of thousands of gamblers who came here because of Cryptocurrency gambling

I think he sold them all since we have had no news regarding him , if he would have indeed been a multi billionaire blah blah more than that , it would have been all over the news though.

At the same time many sites were sold off to other people and therefore they did stayed over the years but never were able to flourish that well but then again they come and go.

Some of the sites were established back in 2014 but are more renown now. Therefore it's all about completion here. If I remember I was searching for Roobet and they were enlisted in 2014 , I always imagined they were something new lol.

There are really lots of improvements and developments in the crypto gambling industry for years and I'm surprised to know that the first gambling platforms before are still reputable until now. Knowing the history of how crypto and gambling casinos are just living proof that crypto is too convenient for the gambling world. More people are now recognizing crypto more because of its continuous developments.

I was a player at Satoshidice and Justdice and IIRC, I got some CLAM coins too for playing there and being a part of their website for a long time. Satoshidice was one of my favorite sites where we just used to send our bets and then we either win if the number comes over/under the given slab, and my favorite part was when I get my winnings straight to my Blockchain wallet. Those days, I miss them a lot because they are no longer going to be back again.  Undecided

Op, it's a nice list of the main events, but perhaps adding a little more info based on what was discussed in the thread would be nice. For instance, the first Bitcoin faucet and the first crash game seem important enough. Moreover, why not add the first sportsbook(s) accepting cryptos as well, since betting on sports is also one of the big things discussed on this forum in relation to gambling? And I think it would be nice to add when provably fair games first appeared in casinos (if this info is available), as well as the first casinos which process payments based on Ethereum contracts automatically (they didn't become popular, but it's cool that it's possible to ensure that the winnings will be paid out this way).

Probably he might able to sell off those coins into earlier years knowing that it did really make out some pumps after several years but who knows if he had still holding off those
coins up to now and that would really be big in todays price but talking into those years back then it isnt really that much of value basing on USD but still a good nice hit.
I believe that this industry didnt only reach out multi-million but rather billions considering on seeing the demand of gambling stuff then you can really say that it is really
on that certain level.

Like others, I'm surprised that there is no mention of PrimeDice.

Even though Stunna's main project right now seems to be Stake.com, PD back in the day was JD's biggest rivals - and they were probably getting more users on a day to day basis compared to a small circle of JD bettors.

I still vividly remember when PD3 came out, that stuff was pure hype.

First time to know Primedice in 2016 And also Bustabit for personal experience. and indeed Dice at that time was the most famous. There were no slots yet because at that time they weren't yet so popular. Primedice will remain only Dice and currently 1 Company with such a large stake because there are various games or sportsbooks available. @OP said someone had hit the 11,000 Bitcoin jackpot. Yes, it is possible that if the user is still holding now, he will have extraordinary wealth

a gambler is always a gambler. he must have been betting more after that 11K BTC. he could last longer with his strategy. easy money can be lost easily but it should be interesting to know what he actually did to that amount. if he invested in altcoins and win big or simply lose it all in gambling.

primedice is one of the oldest. I'm not seeing it being discussed more in the forum. the loyal players are always going to stick to where unfairness is not experienced.

With comparison to the starting days, the growth is tremendous. Now this has been a big market for cryptocurrency. Specific percentage of cryptocurrencies circulation happens through the gambling sites which makes the market stronger. The very first site being bitcasino.io is really an unexpected information. Lets dig more history from the beginning days.

That's because the other people who used to be gambling outside the crypto industry are now added to those who are playing inside and that's the main reason why the sudden boom of the crypto gambling industry has happened for the past few years. Right now, there are countless of them which emerge lately just to emphasize that they wanted to have some earnings both outside and inside this kind of industry this year.

Personally, I get excited about playing different games with what little I have. It's such an exciting time for cryptocurrency, and I hope that everyone will continue to enjoy gambling with it as I do. It's really awesome to see where it's all come from and where it's going.

Since 2011, the crypto gambling website slowly growing and become bigger. And from 2013 until now, we see that the gambling business in the crypto grows fast, and people now do not have to worry if they want to gamble using crypto. Crypto gambling site helps people use their money in crypto while they can hide from the other, including their government if in their country. Deny or not, a crypto gambling website helps crypto grow like today, and it will still grow in the future since the site has many options for coins to be used for playing gambling. That can help the gamblers to use coins they like to gamble.

i like the fact that you can put your address upon claiming so that means you can instantly see what you claim in any wallet ? and they pay for the fees but thats possible because fees before are small due to the small value of btc .
nowadays faucets pay out a few satoshis per roll and each transaction costs around $5 to be mined in the next 25 blocks, hence the accumulation but back then bitcoins were experimental and mostly miners didn't expect getting paid through fees. I believe 2010 were the days when greedy people started using GPUs to mine more bitcoins so 50BTC were enough for them to enjoy the experimentation. gavin received some really good donations to the wallet amount so it was easier for him to run the faucet without expecting anything in return.

its created in 2008 but it took a year before the first transaction took place ? wow  i think people are too skeptical that time with btc and they are hesitant to try it and then it took over 2 year for a btc powered gambling site to appear.
The first sample source code was released by satoshi on November 2008 upon request and first transaction took place on Jan 2009 when the network went live. You need to run your computer all the time to mine bitcoin, so many didn't really do that activity like how miners run today tirelessly and 365 days a year. Gambling with bitcoins had its roots in our forum where people like Xunie experimented bitcoin based gambling stuff since 2010. See this topic for more info : World's FIRST Bitcoin Lottery

Even though Stunna's main project right now seems to be Stake.com, PD back in the day was JD's biggest rivals - and they were probably getting more users on a day to day basis compared to a small circle of JD bettors.
Stunna's Prime Dice was powered by a really good high paying signature campaign. I am not sure if there was a signature campaign for Just Dice, but Prime Dice had a higher popularity in forum because of its really good advertising. Signature Campaign impacts started probably because of Stunna's advertising technique in 2013 and we have come a long way since then in sig adverts.

what we can conclude here, is that gambling industry is the first ones to adopt the usage of cryptocurrencies. and look at where we are now,

I'm not sure this is a good things to be proud of. I would prefer some more merchant-based (but not an illegal examples like history with SilkRoad). But whatever, at least something  Tongue

And now we have a lot of casinos because of what i said in some another topic - this is very easy to launch them since you don't need any registration in crypto world.

I understand what you are saying but gambling and cryptocurrencies are a perfect combination which is why this was one of the first industries to adopt cryptocurrencies, we must remember that in many countries gambling is not allowed and if you gamble then you are looked with suspicious eyes, cryptocurrencies allow people to gamble as much as they want without having to reveal their identity and when we add how easy it is to register with a cryptocurrency casino compared to the casinos that accept fiat it is easy to see why this industry grew so quickly.

The people could have used their crypto in making more money instead of wasting it on gambling hoping to hit the big win but we all know that the only time that it will happen is when the Goddess of Luck smiles upon you or me. I was once an addict in gambling and good thing that I realized that overtime the money that I spent and the profit that I get will only go down, I agree that crypto gambling will grow. I wouldn't really say they help people, it is more of exploiting people of their crypto.

Safe to say that cryptocurrency has became a gambler's paradise. Competition is what interests us humans. Combine that with money, the internet, and cryptocurrency is icing on the cake.

Transactions happen in an instant and at the same time we're also finding a way our fast track to riches. Gambling has been a mainstay since the birth of Bitcoin and its amazing to see how developers have gotten good to improve both.

In my opinion, gambling is one of the best use of cryptos and there's always room to innovate and as long as there's money wagering on it, no dilemma is difficult to solve.

Never knew that some of the gambling platforms are extremely old in the world of crypto. I just thought that Fortunejack started sometime in 2016, though they were around much longer than that. Also, I guess you can include some faucets that integrated some form of gambling on their platform to attract more people? Like freebitco.in which has dice on their faucet for as long as I can remember. I remember having tried playing in 2014 on that faucet and losing it all. It wasn't worth much but that was my first experience in crypto gambling, and I liked the experience.
Yeah and from what I remember freebitco.in is also the first faucet who ever existed here in crypto world (correct me if I'm wrong) also I've been hearing about Satoshi Dice somewhere last year but didn't know it was one of the first gambling platform that existed in this whole time...
Well I guess, it is only FortuneJack what I know best on that list and been playing with it until now.
So it's been a pleasure to use a platform that has been one to be considered a history

I could say the same. When I started in cryptocurrency way back 2016, freebitco is the first faucet that gave me free satoshis, and I also play gambling that time on their dice. I just keep sharing up my referral in social media that time in order to earn more satoshi every free roll, if I'm not mistaken, it is every hour. Next is Betkong and Bitsler, and the next is history as well, can't remember it all. As you all can see now, cryptocurrency gambling sites are spreading more and more all over the world every single day because of cryptocurrency's influence to people and countries.

E D I T: I'm not promoting the said faucet site and gambling sites

I agree with this, Gambling using crypto plays a big part in making cryptocurrency grow. Actually, there are people that have discovered cryptocurrency because of gambling. Cryptocurrency like bitcoin, eth, and others shares the same qualities that gamblers want which are anonymity, decentralized, and freedom to use it. Today Crypto casino's becomes more regulated than before but it doesn't make crypto unusable in gambling in fact there are still new casinos that are launching and the OG's of Crypto Casinos are still functioning.

How can you tell that crypto casinos are more regulated nowadays than they were, say, a year ago? Do you have any examples?

I only know of regulation measures at online casinos that have existed as FIAT casinos for a long time and now also want to offer cryptos as a means of payment. Due to the close ties to FIAT, however, KYC, AML5 and co. were already in use at such casinos, for example! I would not have noticed a large "regulation movement" at common crypto-only casinos yet. If it once is mandatory that also crypto casinos for example require KYC, then many would probably have to close their doors.

Yea.... but I think sites like PrimeDice.com and Freebitco.in put dice gaming on the map. They have been around for ages and they were frequently visited by newbies for the faucets and the bitcoin to gamble on these sites.

I think Bitcasino.io opened the door to "licensed" casinos to enter the scene, but they are not the most popular casino out there anymore. Crypto casinos was not supposed to "kill" the pseudo anonymity of it's users, but with licensing comes rules and KYC regulations and that killed the anonymity.  Sad
